《Inner Demons》To Blame Someone Innocent

Sometimes, I feel myself blaming Naruto for my sensei's death, for the deaths of everyone I cared for. I know it's wrong to think like this, but I still distance myself from Naruto. I never go out of my way to hurt him, I just... Avoid him, ignore him, pretend he's not my student.
I know my sensei is looking down on me with disgust as I watch the scene in front of me without doing a thing. I know Kushina wants to bash me up for not helping her son. I know that they hate me for letting Naruto get hurt by his own teammates. Yet I still watch, never moving a muscle.
I watch as Sakura slaps him, I watch as she whispers something in his ears and I watch as a small smile spreads on his face, his eyes tearing up. The expression on his face is pure relief, as if he's allowed to finally do something that he never thought he'd get to do. My stomach cramped up inside of me, something wasn't right.
Naruto's been acting erratically ever since the incident with Sakura. He seems to be less energetic, less empty-headed and less care free. It's almost as if he's a completely different person. His chakra signature is still normal, his appearance is still ordinary and his diet is the same... Yet it feels like he's changed. He's made it through two whole days without hassling Sakura, he's no longer challenging Sasuke whenever the chance arises and he's no longer begging me to teach him more jutsus. I have no idea about what's going...
Yet, even if something is happening, it's probably none of my concern. The Chunin exams are coming up, I can't get carried away just because Naruto is acting a little bit differently.
I watch Naruto as he skips towards the training ground. 'See,' I tell myself, 'He's completely fine.'
Author's Note: Ummmmm, I know some Kakashi simps might hate this but I want to bring out certain attributes that Kakashi showed (how he ignored Naruto). Yeah, anyways, *sigh* This note was brought to you by 'Icha Icha Paradise'!

Collective Thinking
Dyna Graves grew up thinking she was special. An exception to the average. Not necessarily above her peers, but simply outside their context. However, toward the end of her high school life, she started to realize that nobody was really special. At least not in any fantastical way. Just as she started trying to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life, she got an invitation. A psychic institute scoped her out, realized her psychic potential, and asked if she would undergo psionic training at the Carroll Institute. Almost immediately, Dyna realized that she wasn’t quite up to the same level as many of her peers. Surrounded by clairvoyants and mind readers displaying obvious abilities made her own lack of ability all the more apparent. That was, up until the researchers and scientists of the facility realized that there was a bit more to Dyna Graves than met the eye. After an explosive incident during what should have been a routine experiment, Dyna quickly found herself wrapped up in a world of cutthroat espionage. The story can also be viewed on my website, https://www.towercurator.com/collective-thinking/. Cover art by Zoern.

With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****
