Chapter 32:

Lexy’s POV

I’ve been asking Jonathas where we’re going and all he tells me are ‘it’s a secret’ or ‘you’ll find out soon’ which irritated me and made me more curious. Lee’s on his car seat already asleep.

It’s already been 3 hours of drive and we still didn’t arrive. I keep my eyes on the road and listened to the music coming from the radio. In a matter of minutes, I doozed off; wondering where would my mate take us.

Oliver's POV

I was in Lexy's office working on the paper works she left. Same thing, Rogue attacks, call for help or assistance from other packs and even love letters. yes, you heard me. LOVE LETTERS. They still hopped for her hand in marriage. I guess they still dont know about Jonathas.

I mean, i dont blame them. Lexy's beautiful and smart; she got the brains and beauty. who wouldnt want her? Heck! she doesnt even look like she just gave birth to twins...

Just remembering how heart broken she was when she realized that her other son died, it really pained me seeing her so... broken. Yet she stayed strong for Lee, she was a great mom to him. She became his mom and dad at the same time, she gave him everything. I remembered when she told me how happy and peaceful her life was when Lee came in. having a child to welcome you everyday from work removes all the stress you feel. makes you smile and laugh everyday. That's why i cant wait to have my own child in my arms. If it's a boy, i'd be his best friend, i'd take him to see sports games and teach him how to handle a pack. If it's a girl, i'd spoil her rotten, i'd be her very first boyfriend and chase away guys who'd court her. she can date when she's in her 40s or even 50s. as long as i'm here, she's never ganna date.

Weather it's a boy or a girl, i'd love him/her with all my heart and treat him/her the best. i'd be there to see the first time he/she open's his/her eyes, first birthday, first words, first steps, everyday i'd be there for them. Just thinking about having that bundle of joy in my arms with my mate by my side makes me happy.

The door suddenly slowly opened and a pair of gorgeous light brown eyes that seems to take all the stress away connected with mine. I gave her a smile and she closed the door. I watched as she walked toward me, she was wearing her silk, purple night gown that reached just bellow her knees. she was already showing making me smile widder knowing our pup is growing. I pulled her to sit on my lap as i wrapped my arms protectively around her but not too tight just to be safe.

"It's already 11 love, why are you still awake?" i asked as i placed a kiss on her cheek.

"I cant sleep, the bed is too cold." she pouted making me chuckle.

she's so adorable when she does that. i hope our child grows up to be like her.

"Get some rest, you and the baby needs it."

"Come and sleep Oliver, me and the baby can't sleep without you next to us." she pleaded and how could i say 'no' to her.

I gave her a nod and carried her bridal style as we went in our room. i kicked the door closed and lay her gently on our bed. i stripped out of my clothes but left my boxers on as i lay next to her, feeling her warmth, and inhaling that wonderful scent of hers. I kissed her forehead and whisperd,

"Good night love."

"Night Oliver." she yawned and soon after we both fell asleep.

Jonathas's POV

I pulled over near the dock and saw that the yatch was all ready to go. Lexy and Lee was still asleep, just seeing them makes me proud and happy to have a family like them. I went out and opened the door to the front seat, taking Lee ever slowly and carefully from Lexy's hold, not wanting to wake her up. I went in the yatch and settled him in one of the bed, i did the same thing with Lexy and kept them warm with the blanket. After having all our bags in the yatch, i started it and continued to travel to reach our destination.

Lexy's POV

I woke up from my deep slumber to find myself in a familiar room. I was in bed all alone. where's Lee and Jonathas? I got up and went out of the room. Then i realized, this was where i was, this is where Jonathas brought me for our first date. where we had dinner on the beach and where i found out about the bet. I was walking down the stairs when i heard Jonathas's voice.

"Lee, do you think mommy will like it?" Jonathas asked.

"Mommy wiw wove iwt!" Lee's responded with such excitement in his voice.

"I'll love what?" i asked as i showed myself and Jonathas immidiately hid something in his pocket.

Jonathas looked like a kid caught snooping on his gifts on Christmas day while Lee acted innocent with a big smile on his face.

“If you’ll like to go swimming. Right Lee?” Jonathas respondded quickly then looking at Lee and he nodded.

“Um, sure. I guess.” I’ll let this go this once. Just this once

Jonathas sighed in relief.

“Well then, go and get ready, Lee and I will go ahead.” He smiled and carried Lee as they ran out.

I went back up and looked for an appropriate swim suit. Then, I saw this two piece baby blue strap swim suit. I wonder why Jonathas have these things, I mean; swim suits, dresses and all girly stuff. I’ll have to ask him later. He better have a good explanation for this. I stripped out of my clothes and wore the swim suit and a robe. I went down and I could hear their laughter and splashes of water. I opened the door and the bright sun welcomed me with the warm breeze of the sea. I love this place.

There, just near the shore are my son and mate chasing and splashing water on each other. I stayed there and watched them for a while with a smile on my face. Maybe, this can work out. Me, Lee and Jonathas as a family, us. I can see it.

“Mommy!” Lee shouted as he saw me.

I walked toward them and as the water touched my feet, I removed my robe and walked toward my son. Lee quickly approached me with a smile on his face.

“Wou wook pwetty mommy!” he complimented.

“Thank you Lee.” I smiled back then I heard a deep sexy growl.

I looked at Jonathas and his eyes were filled with love, lust, longingness and need but more of love. Believe me, I was turned on as well. He was topless, his muscular chest dripping wet and his gorgeous face. I just want to run to him and kiss him senseless and let him mark me as his. But Lee’s here. I don’t want him to see his parents making out right in front of him! That’s just wrong!

“Jonathas, Lee’s here. Control yourself.” I mind liked him but he just smirked.

“Your point is?”

I glared at him but a smile soon replaced it.

“You look beautiful mate.” He smiled.

“Thanks, you don’t look bad yourself.”

Then, we started to play tag. They would team up on me and I would always end up being it. As we were having fun, I knew their bond was growing, as father and son. Just a few months ago, Lee was looking and asking for a father and he got two. Well, his real father is here now. I confess, I do regret telling Lee his father is Leaf. How should I know Leaf is a nightwalker and deadly. How should I freakin’ know?!

Anyway, I’m glad Jonathas is my mate and Lee’s real father. Yes, I did hate him but I grew fond of him. He’s not that hard to love and he’s trying. He’s trying to be a good mate and a good father. I’m just glad he’s my mate. I’ll admit.

I love him.

Jonathas’s POV

Damn my mate’s mouthwatering! When she removed her robe wearing a baby blue strap bikini suit almost made me out of control, even Joshua was on edge. He wanted to take her there and now. Believe me, I do as well but Lee’s here. It took every strength inside me to control him. But every time I touch her, just hear her call my name almost made me lose control. What has she done to me?

Before, I was a heart cold Alpha who didn’t want a mate, heck even have a family but she changed me. Lexy changed me. I like the new me.

I have a son and a gorgeous mate. I’m happy now. Now I understand what my dad felt before when he and mom was in love and we were a family. It changed him. Love changed him.

“But it also destroyed him.” Joshua spoke making me recall a memory I wanted to forget.

I pushed it aside, I don’t want to ruin my day with my family. After having fun on the beach with my family, we dried ourselves, changed and we prepared dinner. Salad, chicken, and rice. We shared a few words, a few laughs as we ate dinner and Lee was fast asleep after I left him watching TV while I help wash the dishes.

I carried him up his room and placed him gently on his bed. I tucked him in and kissed his forehead good night.

I went back down to see Lexy turning off the TV. She sat down on the couch and gave out an exhausted sigh. I sat next to her and she immediately rested her head on my shoulder.

“Tired love?” I asked as I wrapped my arms around her and placed her on my lap.

She nodded and snuggled close to me.

“I’ve never seen Lee this happy before.” She smiled as she closed her eyes. “He always dreamed about this. Having a father, Having a whole family. I felt bad lying to him.”

“You did what you thought was best. You were protecting him.”

“I confused him with two dads.” She said as she opened those beautiful eyes.

“He’ll understand when he’ll grow up, besides,” I cupped her chin and made her look up to me. “I’ll be with you every step of the way.”

Liar!

“Thanks Jonathas. You’re the best.” She smiled and gave me a kiss.

I controlled myself wanting to kiss her again and have my way on her but I want to talk to her for now. I want to get to know more of her.

“So, who owns those bikini and undergarments that I found?” she suddenly asked with a raised eye brow.

Anger, pain, and sadness but mostly anger was seen on her eyes.

“Relax, they’re my sisters. I never brought a girl here. I told myself, I’d only share this place with my mate. I want to share this special place with someone special.” I responded with a smile.

She blushed a little making my smile grow wider.

“I didn’t know you had a sister-”

“Half-sister.” I corrected.

“What do you mean?”

I looked at her and she was persistent. I never thought I’d talk about this ever again but she’s my mate, she’ll know eventually.

I gave a deep sigh and told her the story.

“When I was 9, I heard my parents arguing. It was late that night and I woke up to get a glass of water. My brother was still sound asleep so I climbed out of bed and went down. I was walking down the stairs when I heard dad’s voice and a woman’s voice, but it wasn’t my mother’s. I followed it and ended up in the living room. I stopped and listened to their conversation as I hid behind the divider of the kitchen and our living room…”

Flash Back….

“Ava, what are you doing here?” My father asked as they sat close to one another on the couch.

She was a brunette, fare skin tone, tall, maybe 5’3. She was about 35. I’ll admit, she’s beautiful.

I haven’t seen her before but why does my father seem to know her? Like an old friend?

What is she doing here late at night?

“Felix, I have to tell you something important.” Her accent was European, Italian maybe.

“What is it?” my father asked as he placed a hand on top of hers.

“Felix, I’m… I’m pregnant. It’s yours.”

WHAT?!

“What?” He was surprised as well but not as surprised and pissed as I was.

I never thought dad could do something like this! How could he cheat on my mother?! His mate!

“I’m two weeks pregnant Felix. It’s yours.” She repeated with a smile on her face.

She was overwhelmed with joy but my father wasn’t. He was surprised, angry and afraid.

“Ava… it… it can’t be mine.” He said as he stood up.

“It’s yours. I’m positive.” She insisted as she placed her hand on her belly.

“Ava, I have a family. I have two sons. I have a mate. I’m an Alpha for heaven’s sakes! What will they say once they found out I have a child from another woman? I can’t.”

Oh now he thinks about us AND my mother. (Note the sarcasm)

“You should have thought of that before you cheated on your wife. This is your child Felix. You can’t deny this baby. We made it together and it’s your responsibility as the father to protect him or her.”

My father was walking back and forth as he seemed to be deep in his thoughts. I still can’t believe what I’m hearing right now. My father who I look up to for being a faithful mate is a lie. I felt tears stream down my cheeks, and my heart breaking. I no longer know my own father anymore.

For some reason, my father stopped. He gave out a deep breath, then, looked at my direction. He saw me. His eyes widen and Ava, followed where he was looking at. Both their eyes on me. My father’s face was filled with guilt, pain, and sorrow while Ava showed shame. He took a step toward me and as an instinct, I took one back.

“Jonathas, son.” He started but ran out of words.

“How could you do this to mom.” Was all I could say before I turned around and bumped on someone.

I looked up and it was my mother along with my brother behind him. She was crying and so was my brother. They heard everything. She heard all his lies.

End of Flashback…

“My mother, Jacob and I left that night. No matter what my so-called-father say, we left. He begged, went down on his knees and cried as he pleaded for us not to leave him but my mother was strong. She ignored him and the bond between them and we left.” I took a breath and didn’t realize that I shed a few tear after Lexy wiped them away.

All the anger and pain came right back and all I could think about is the hate I have for my own father. Then, Lexy cupped my face with her hand and She gave me a warm smile. She wrapped her arms around my neck and hug me.

“I’m right here Jonathas. What you and your mother did was pure bravery. She must have been a great mother for ignoring the bond between them just to protect you and Jacob.” She said and I just kissed her.

“Thank you for listening to me Lexy. This is the first time I told someone about this.” I smiled.

“I’m your mate. It’s my job to listen to you.” She smiled back.

She finally called us mate! Joshua cheered with joy.

“What’s with the smile?” she suddenly asked.

“What smile?”

“That big smile on your face.” She responded as she poked my cheek.

“I’m just glad you finally called us your mate. Out loud that is.”

“So I really do have a soft spot on you huh big Alpha.” She giggled and I found it cute.

“You always find everything about her cute.” Joshua said rolling his eyes on me.

“Wait,” she started suddenly sounding serious. “I thought…well, heard that your dad and mom are okay. She forgave him? She accepted your half sister?”

"Mom and dad agreed...well, mom made a proposition. we'll come back home and look like a perfect family if he will stop seeing her. ofcourse my dad agreed and stopped seeing Ava but we were still angry and we still didnt trust him. mom and dad acted all happy while we acted as two loving sons in front of every one. Years passed and mom still didnt trust him, neither did we but dad kept on trying to make us forgive him. Long story short we forgave him and dad took in my sister after Ava died of giving birth to her. We accepted her as a part of our family but kept her a secret."

"where is your sister now?"

"Traveling. she earned enough money to travel but still kept intouch with us. As far as i know, she's in England."

"I hope we dont end up as a broken family." she said and looked up to me. "Promise me that you wont leave me and Lee. Promise me you wont leave me this time."

"I promise love. i promise i wont leave you."

thousands of knives seem to peirce through my heart as i said those words to her. The way she smiled when i promised her just made me want to cry. a few more days and i wont be seeing those smile angain. but before that, i'll make the most out of it and make happy memories with my family, as many as possible. i wont waist any minute not spending it with them.

I love you Lexy. i always will.

Oliver’s POV

I woke up with my mate snuggled close to me sound asleep. I still can’t believe I have a mate like her and a baby on the way. I gently placed my hand on top of her belly and I could hear our baby’s heartbeat. I can’t wait to see him or her.

“Good morning Oliver.” She suddenly spoke as she snuggled closer as if it was possible, half awake.

“Morning love.” I smiled as I kissed the top of her head.

“What plans do you have today?”

“Just paper work. Why?”

She looked up and gave me a peck on the lips.

“I’m going to see the pack doctor. Want to come?” she asked with a smile on her face.

You can’t miss the excitement in her eyes, even her voice shows how excited she is for her check-up.

“I won’t miss it for the world.” I smiled and wrapped her in my arms.

“Oliver, Leaf’s here.” Steve’s called through the mind link.

“What does he want?”

“He wants to see Lee and Lexy.”
