Lexy's POV

I woke up from my peaceful sleep finding myself snuggled near Leaf, his hands were still wrapped around me, i looked up to him and he was sound asleep. i smiled at him. i was happy but... same time confused. I'm happy that he's alive, he's my mate and he saved me. But i couldnt help but feel but confused about my feelings between him and Jonathas. Yes, i love that man. When he took me to the island and i started to fall for him. When he tried to force himself to me last night but it felt like it wasnt him. I know his touch, and it wasnt him. He could be possessive sometimes but not that possessive. He showed me the good side of him, i know there's something behind it. Why arent i angry at him? i should be really angry at him but why arent i? uh...

I slowly removed Leafs' arms around me and quietly left the bed. i went in the bathroom and took a warm shower. I locked the door, just in case Leaf will panic when he wakes up without me by his side. as the warm water touched my bare skin, i felt relaxed.

will you talk to Jonathas? Luna suddenly asked out of nowhere.

I know it was wrong but it wasnt Jonathas.

i finished taking a bath and turned the water off. i grabbed a towel and wrapped it around me just covering my breast and just a few inches above my thighs. i looked for my clothes and , Danm. i forgot to bring some. i wish Leaf is still asleep. i slightly opened the door and Leaf was still asleep, relief. I quietly went out and walked toward my closet. i was about to open it when i felt strong muscular arms around my waist and a cold breath on my neck sending chills down my spine.

"My breakfast is ready." Leaf whispered and kissed my neck.

"Leaf." i spoke.

"Yes babe?" he asked still kissing my neck.

"i need to change." i manage to respond without moaning.

"you look good even with a towel babe, you dont have to hide your beautiful body." he said.

"Please... Leaf." i begged.

if this goes on any longer, i think i might melt. he gave out a sigh and released me. i quickly grabbed a pair of black underwear and bra, jeans and a shirt. i ran back in the bath room and locked it quickly. i touched my neck, making my body feel hot. i snapped out and changed in my clothes. i dried my hair and tied it in a pony tail. i put a light make up and went out just to see my room empty. Where is he? i felt somehow disappointed. he left without saying good bye. then, i saw a letter on my pillow.

Dear Lexy;

I left for a while. I'm sorry i left without saying anything but whenever you're near me, i cant leave. When you went out of the bathroom only wearing a towel, i wanted to take you. That's why i didnt say good bye, because i might be kissing you right now. I'll be back tomorrow morning, I promise i'll be next to you tomorrow morning.

atleast he left a note. i went out of the room and no one was in the kitchen or in the living room. then, i found another note on the fridge.

Dear Lexy,

Me and the pack went for a run, the pack needs it. We'll be back by noon, we'll be having a little training. We wanted you to come along but your dad said you were tired and you need the day off. We'll be fine.

i chuckled. i cooked myself a plate of pancakes and went to the living room. i turned the TV on and watched a movie. a few minutes passed and someone knocked. i got on my feet and opened the door. there stood a man who looked like Jonathas, well except for his bandaged left arm and a few scratches on him..

"Are you Lexy Moon?" he asked.

"Yes, who are you?" i asked.

"I'm Jacob King, Jonathas's brother and i'm here to talk to you." he said.

i stared at him for a while and nodded.

"Come in." i said and he went in. i closed the door and we sat on the couch.

"You're all alone?" he asked looking around.

i nodded.

"So, what are we going to talk about?" i asked.

"I'm here to explain what happened last night." he started.

"You mean when Jonathas tried to mark me?"

"Yes."

"Start explaining then."

"Well i better tell you from the beginning. Our family was cursed, the curse was called Blood Moon curse. This curse is passed down to only the sons of the King family. Who ever inherits the Alpha genes will also carry the curse. in my family, Jonathas inherited the Alpha genes, i got lucky. The curse started when Lucian rejected his mate, Alexandria for another she wolf who was Veronica. Alexandria was angry not only because Lucian rejected her and married another she wolf but because he killed their own son. When Alexandria heard that Veronica was pregnant, she went to a powerful witch and asked to put a curse to Lucian's unborn son. the witch agreed and put a curse on Lucian's son. When Veronica heard about the curse she begged Alexandria to undo it but all she could say was;

i was willing for Lucian to mark me and carry his pups but he rejected me because of you. i lost my mate because of you, and my SON! Your son shall feel the same pain when i lost my mate to another wolf. He might not be rejected but when he will shift, in his first shifting, his wolf will be loose and find his mate. Every full moon, your son will search his mate to either mark her as his in a painful way or either kill her. Your son shall feel my pain whenever he shifts in a full moon.

Lucian and Veronica searched for the cure and asked the witch who cursed them for the cure." he explained.

After what he just explained, i was just speechless. I mean, why didnt Jonathas told me about his curse? Yeah, i'll be afraid but still... maybe i could have, i repeat, i COULD have accepted what he is. Wait, does that mean Lee too caries this curse?!

"then.. does Lee carry this curse?" i asked.

He nodded.

"Is there a cure or something?"

I dont want my son's mate to fear him.

"that's the thing, i only know the story. Dad only told Jonathas about the curse because he's the one that carries the curse not me. I'm sorry." he responded.

Maybe i should consult the council about this. daddy David must know something about this.

"Oh, i almost forgot. Jonathas wants me to give you this." he said handing me a folded paper.

My name was written on it, opened it and read it;

Dear Lexy,

I want to apologize for all the things I’ve. I can't tell you how sorry I am for what I did last night. I wish we could talk about this and try to work things out. I know there's no excuse for the things I did, but I still love you, and I think you have feelings for me too. We can work this out and be together, I hope. "He really loves you Lexy." Jacob spoke as i folded the letter in my hand.

"If you doubt my brother's love for you because of the bet we made then blame it to me. I'm the one who challenged him Lexy and I'm sorry for that. Jonathas really love you, I just challanged him because i thought he was kidding about finding his mate but it was true. Please Lexy, He's the only family i got left, i want him to at least be happy. I know you have feelings for him Lexy." he added.

"And how sure are you about that?" i asked.

"If you didnt love my brother, you wouldnt have shed a tear." he smiled.

then, i felt a tear steam down my cheek. i whipped them away and cleared my throat. Why am i crying? what the heck am i crying for?

As much as i want to disagree with him but we do. We have feelings for Jonathas. i know you also do. Luna spoke.

Of course i know. I'm just afraid of getting hurt again.

"If you're worried he'll hurt you, you're wrong. You got him whipped Lexy, He'll do anything for you to forgive him." Jacob smiled reassuringly.

what is he a mind reader?

"you know Jacob, for a player like you, you sure know how to encourage a person." i smiled.

"I'm not just a pretty face." he smirked.

"thanks for explaining."

"You're welcome. I should be going." he said and we stood up.

he walked toward the door and before leaving he looked back and said,

"It wont hurt to give him another chance Lexy, all you need to do is trust him not to hurt you again." he finished and left.

i closed the door and stared at the letter in my hands.

Maybe i should give him another chance.

Jonathas's POV

here i am in my room, staring at the ceiling. I hope Lexy will give me another chance. She has too...i mean, i want to have another chance to prove my love for her. she's everything to me. If it wasn't for this curse, i would be with my mate right now.

Don't forget we still have a cure for this Jonathas. Joshua spoke.

Oh sure, since we can't drink Alexandria's blood, orwe could kill our mate. go ahead! ARE YOU INSANE?!

I don't want to kill my mate! aside from that, Alexandria is already dead and there was no written news about her in the book of the werewolf history. the witch says if the cursed son will drink Alexandria's blood then he'll be cured. Alas, she's dead.

then, the door opened and Mia came in wearing a short mini skirt, a tight blouse tracing her breast and showing off her cleavage. i just sighed and stared at the ceiling.

"Jonathas, baby. Why are you sad?" she asked sitting down on my bed as she trace circles on my arms.

"Go away Mia, i dont want you here." i said removing her hand.

"You're never Like this Jonathas, whenever i come in your room you'll always accept my invitation." she pouted.

"people change Mia, and i'm one of them."

"It's because of her isnt it?" she stood up crossing her arms on her chest.

"Who?" i asked clueless.

"That Female Alpha, Lexy."

"I dont know what you're talking about."

"i knew it. Are you replacing me with a smart ass bitch who screwed men and now has a son?!" as soon as she was done talking, i found myself holding her neck and pinning her between me and the wall.

"If you ever talk about Lexy and Lee that way, so help me Mia, I'll kill you." i warned her.

"you know that bitch's son's name?! is that why you're ignoring me?!"

i tightened my grip on her neck and moved closer.

"Last warning Mai." i let her go and turned my back on her.

"Leave Mia, i dont know how long i can control myself not to kill you."

i heard her footsteps and the door open but before she left, she said.

"You're mine Jonathas, You and i are meant to be together and i'm not ganna let a slutty bitch get in the way." then, the door closed.

i lay back on my bed and just relaxed myself. if Mia didnt leave after what she just said, i would have killed her. she doesnt have the right to talk about my mate like that. i heard the door open again and i just groaned.

"Mia, for the last time i dont want you here!" i shouted.

"Okay, then maybe i'll never come to your room again." Jacob suddenly answered.

i turned around and there he was smiling at me.

"Sorry, i thought it was Mia again." i sighed sitting down.

"Yeah. i bumped into her in the hallway and she looks pissed."

"i just threatened her to not call my mate a bitch."

"Speaking of your mate, i gave Lexy the letter."

"And?"

he stayed quiet and smiled.

"For heaven's sake Jacob, spit it out already!" i growled.

"Okay, I somewhat explained to her that giving you another chance whouldnt hurt."

"Did she say she'll give me another one?" i asked with hope in my voice.

"she didnt respond actually, she just nodded."

"do you think she'll give me another one?"

"if you'll stop locking yourself up in this room and show her she should, Hell yes!"

"Then what should i do?" i asked.

"She's alone in the house when i was there and i have a plan." he smiled.

wait, Leaf left? huh, i better move now then.

"if your plan involves seducing i'll pass."

he just faked laugh.

"As much as i want to, no. I though of something better."

"Let me hear it."

"Nope."

"WHAT?!" he has a plan yet he wont tell me?!

"Just go and take a shower, wear something nice and i'll tell you." he said ans walked toward the door.

"Oh and Jonathas, wear something not too formal okay, something casual." he smiled and walked out.

i just shook my head and went in the bathroom, wondering what kind of plan Jacob is thinking.
