(Lexy's POV)
Morning came and i was already in my feet, wearing jeans and a shirt which Oliver brought. I woke up about 6 in hte morning and saw Oliver sleeping on the couch. i looked out the window and for some reason, my wolf asked something i never thought she would ask.
Will you give up your life for your pup?
Of course i will... why do you ask?
Nothing.
then, she faded.
what's with her? of course i'll give my life for my pup. Every mother would. But why would she ask that?
"Lexy, you're not suppose to move you know." Oliver's voice popped out making me look at him.
"I wnat to go home." i smiled.
he sighed and nodded.
"I'll see what i can do." he said and went out.
i looked back at the window and stared at the miles of trees. it was beautiful. then, i heard bushed rusttle. i looked down and just under a tree was a brown wolf, he was looking up at me, directly to me! then, he turnned around and started to walk away.
who's that? i ws about to jump when my mom's authoritative voice echoed in my room.
"Lexy Moon, what do you think you'rre doing?!"
i sighed and looked back facing me angry parents.
"Lexy, you're pregnant and you're about to jump out a 3 story building?!" mom sighed.
"Lexy, what are you doing standing up? you're still healing." dad asked.
"Dad, i just have wounds on my wrist not my legs." i smiled and sat on my bed.
"Where's Oliver?" he asked looking at the couch.
then, Oliver entered,
"Lexy you can go, i asked the doctor." he said and i smiled.
"Yeay!" i stood up and we packed, not like there's anything to pack.

we drove home and arrived shortly. as i went out, Kace's gave me a bone crushing hug.
"Kace-Cant-Cant breath."
"Oh sorry." she smiled letting go.
"You gave us a heart attack Lexy." Lane said comming with the others.
"Sorry about that." i appologized.
we went in and prepared for my first shift. Oliver explaind how painful my shifting would be. my every bone braking, my temperature going up and to think i have a pup inside me! i called Hillary and again ask to look at my pup's future and still, nothing. why? why cant she see my pup's future? Lance has been bugging me lately, he's asking me if i'm okay or need company. maybe he's been reading my thougts, i've been worrying about my pup all day.
Time passed quickly and it was nearly midnight. My parents, Oliver and i are not in my room. they say it would be better if i shift in my room, so i can feel comfortable. one minute to midnight and i'm preparing for the worst.
God help me.
"Ready Lexy?" Oliver asked.
"Ready as i'll ever be." i smiled.
"We're here for you Lexy." Mom smiled.
"I know."
then, the clock strikes twelve. Midnight finally came. My body fell on the ground and a painful scream came out of my mouth. My bones were breaking; I could feel my heart beat faster than usual and... I could feel my baby in pain. I wanted to put my hand on my stomach but I couldn’t. I felt paralyzed. I could no longer move my body but the pain was horrible. Slowly, I could feel myself shifting. I never thought shifting would be this painful. It’s like my bones all break in the same time. My baby... I hope he’s not feeling the same pain I’m feeling right now.

I continued to scream until it turned into a howl. I opened my eyes and I saw pure white paws. I looked at my family and they just smiled at me. I looked at myself in a big mirror and saw 4 white paws, a bushy tail and big, beautiful body shape... a pure white wolf.
(Lexy's wolf ------------------------------> )
Is this me?
Yes, that's us . Luna spoke.
I don’t know why but I wanted to run. I jumped out my balcony and landed safely landed on my paws. I ran in the woods feeling free and wild. I loved the way the wind against my face and the smell of the earth. I ran and ran until I was near a cliff. I saw the beautiful white moon and howled.
This is now my new beginning. As an Alpha, as a wolf and as a mother to my unborn son.
(Unknown POV.)
I was outside their house ready to show myself to her then, I heard her scream. A painful scream that slowly turned into a beautiful howl. She finally shifted. Finally, she finally shifted. I was about to go in when I saw a beautiful white wolf jump out of the balcony and run in the woods. She’s beautiful. In her human form alone, she was beautiful but now that she finally shifted, she was like a goddess.
Run after her! My wolf shouted.
Not today. I will see her again.
I turned back and ran away. I shifted to my brown wolf and ran hearing her howl on the moon.
We’ll meet again Lexy. One day, our paths will once again cross.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a bit short but...
Lexy finally shifted!
wonder who's the unknown POV?

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!
