Chapter sixteen

Rose’s POV

At school I saw my stalker and Scott having a stare down in English class. man am I glad I came with Scott to school early. Not. I had my almost overdue essay for the teacher. “uh where’s Miss Jackson?” I asked them Scott shot me a worried glance. “She’s Visiting her Dying aunt in Canada.” Mr. stalker told me I gulped at the look he gave me. “I’m filling in for her.” he told me. I looked at Scott. *I’ll have pack members walk you to and from this class.* he told me *Okay.* I whimpered and handed. I should call him Mr. Creeper. Yhea fits him. he’s a creeper. Pedo. Stalker. Whatever you want to call it. he made his hands brush mine. I had an urge to puke. I ran over to the trash can fell to my knees and vomited. “Should I get the nurse?” stalker asked me. “Just don’t even come near me.” I told him as my brother stormed into the school. “I thought I scared you away!” my brother shouted. Pulling me into his arms. I pulled a water bottle and TUMS out of my bag. Erik walked in and leaned against the door. “I heard shouting.” He said innocently. I rolled my eyes and sat on a desk. “Look my sister is pregnant and she doesn’t need any stress. So if I find out your still stalking her I will come after you with a chainsaw.” Damon warned creeper. “And I’ll help him. rose is family to me.” Scott growled at him. “Hey if it involves fighting I’m in.” Erik laughed. “Come on its almost time for school to start.” I told everyone. Scott nodded stiffly. I was the second to last one out Scott right behind me. I turned to Mr. Creeper and flipped him off.

During English Stefan and Alex were both sitting next to me. we were going over conjunctions. I mean seriously! We go over those every year. English is basically a waste of time. Stefan reached over and took my hand. the tree of us agreed he would pretend to be my boyfriend till school was out. unless they were caught kissing. Neither of us wanted to do the kissing part. I told Scott and he wasn’t too happy about it but agreed. I felt a note and smiled at him he looked at Alex I nodded and when the teacher had his back turned tossed it at Alex. He smiled at me and opened it they were talking and didn’t want me to listen in. when class was over Mr. Creeper asked me to stay back. Stefan and Alex shared a look. Nodding the stated in the door. “Alone.” He told the boys shutting the door on them I had Scott’s class next. “Listen girl I don’t care what your brother and his friends say I like you. and I know you like me too.” He said I shivered in disgust under his lustful stare. He smiled. “see. You want me just as much as I want you.” he told me walking over I backed into the door. and ran out. he grabbed my jacket. “Tell anyone and I will hurt you.” he warned me.

I nodded scared and ran to Scott’s class. I was late. I stopped outside the door and took a deep breath. Calming myself and walked in. Scott shot me a look. *Did he pull anything?*he asked me handing me a tardy slip. *He just wanted to say that I was failing and wanted me to know.* I lied. He gave me a skeptical look but believed me. I sat in my seat waiting for class to end. When the bell rang Scott stopped me. “Hey you okay?” he asked me. I nodded as kids continued to walk out of the class room. Elizabeth walked up to Scott. “Hey I need some help understanding my assignment.” She said batting her eyelashes. I rolled my eyes and walked out.

When I came back I saw Scott knocked out on the floor. I ran over to him the back of his head was bleeding. I shook him careful not to move him too much. I called the pack doctor and he came fast and took Scott to his house which doubled as a pack hospital.

My brother held me as I waited for the doc to tell me what was up. I saw my parents and his talking to the Doc they glanced at me and I knew it was bad by the look on their faces. Andy the doctor walker over to me and crouched so we were eye level. “he’s stable but he’s in a coma.” He told me. I froze and felt tear in my eyes. “how long?” I asked him. “I don’t know but he won’t die I promise you.” he told me I pushed him away and ran off my brother was stopped by my dad.

I reached the lake and burst into tears. I ran into the club house and laid down on the bed. I saw jess walk in she saw me crying on the bed. Running over to me she held me as Sara walked in calling the pack to let them know I was fin- safe. I was defiantly not fine.

After a few hours they dragged me back to Andy’s house. I walked in the room he was keeping Scott in. I leaned against the door. watching him. “how? how dumbass?” I asked him as I laid down next to him.

Scott’s Pov before he passed out

I shooed Elizabeth out assigning her a tutor I looked for rose must have went to get her books. I picked a few things up from my desk. When I smelled something that didn’t match. I spun around and saw a shadow behind when I felt something connect with the back of my head. I let the blackness consume me when I heard rose walk in. all I could think about was what the hell was that!?
