May's P.O.V (the next day)

The pack celebration was better then I expected. Everyone (well mostly everyone) welcomed me with open arms. After we danced together Aidan introduced me to his Beta Tom and his mate Mara. They were very happy for us and very welcoming towards me.

I was feeling pretty at ease with everyone and the house was feeling more like home.

It's about 9am and Aidan and I are still lying in bed. Just talking.

"Mara's nice." I say when there's a pause in the conversation.

"Yea she is. Tom better a year ago and he fell hard. Didn't let us meet her until they had known each-other for about 2 months. He's very protective of her." He explains, wrapping his arm more securely around me.

"I guess that's what happens with mates." I say.

"Yea. I can attest to that. I mean I've fallen head over heels for you and I would never let anyone hurt you." He says, looking down at me.

"Aww you're such a sweetie." I say, pinching his cheek.

He slaps my hand away and fake glares at me.

I get up and pull on my robe.

"Why are you getting up?" He asks.

"Because surprisingly enough, we can't stay in bed all day. You have alpha duties remember?" I say, turning around in the doorway of the wardrobe.

"Yea I guess you're right." He groans then gets up and joins me in the doorway.

He pecks my lips and heads in to the wardrobe. I follow him and pick out something to wear for the day.

I end up picking a black and zig zag striped maxi dress. I slip it on and pull on a pair of black sandals. I put on some natural make up and put on a pair of silver stud earrings and the necklace Aidan gave me. I find Aidan waiting for me at the door of our bedroom in a pair of black casual shorts and a blue and white t-shirt.

He takes my hand and together we walk downstairs. We have a quick breakfast and Aidan heads off to start with his alpha paperwork.

I walk aimlessly around the pack house until I see a familiar face.

"Caden?" I call out to the guy who has his back to me.

He turns around and grins at me.

"May. It's nice to see you again. Congratulations on your new Luna position." He says.

"Thanks. This is such a beautiful house." I say, gesturing to the walls around us.

I watch as a small petite blonde girl walks around and Caden wraps his arm around her like it's an instinct.

"It is. May I would like to introduce you to my mate Raya. Raya this is Aidan's mate and our new Luna May. I met her at the beach." I says.

The girl, Raya, smiles at me, showing a dimple on one side of her mouth.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I saw you at the celebration. You have an amazing sense of style." She says happily.

"I could say the same thing about you." I say indicating to her clothes.

She's wearing a casual dress white dress and brown sandals. Her hair is in a pretty French braid.

"Thanks. Caden told me about you. He's pretty sure we're going to get along." She says.

"Yea he said the same thing to me when I met him." I chuckle.

"Well I would love to hang out with you some day. Have a girls day." She says, smiling.

"I would like that. It would be nice to have a girlfriend here." I say, smiling back at her.

"It was nice to see you again." Caden says, taking Raya's hand and together they walk away.

I sigh and start another aimless round of the house.

"May can you come to my office? 2nd floor, door at the end of he hallway." I hear Aidan say through our mate link.

"On my way." I mind link back.

I head upstairs and head to the end of the hall and knock on the door.

I hear a "come in" from in the office and I head in.

I find Aidan sitting at a large mahogany desk surrounded by files and paperwork.

He's sitting with his elbows on the desk and his head in his hands.

"Hey. What's up? You okay?" I ask him, walking around and standing beside his chair, laying a hand on his shoulder."

"I'm fine. I guess I just didn't realise quite how much paper work was involved in being an Alpha. It's pretty full on." He says, lifting his head up and looking at me.

"Yea I can see that. What's all of this for?" I ask.

"Transfer forms, packs needing assistance, rogue attack reports, pack member requests, packs wanting allegiances. Things like that." He tells me, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulls me down so that I'm sitting on his lap.

He wraps both of his arms around me and lays his head against his shoulder.

"Need some help?" I ask, running my hand through his hair slowly.

"I can't ask you to do that." He says quickly.

"You don't have to ask, I'm offering. It would get all of this done faster. Four hands is better then two." I tell him.

"You don't have to."

"I don't mind."

I pull over a chair and place it beside Aidan's then pull one of the stacks of paper towards me.

We sit in silence, doing the paperwork. Occasionally words would be exchanged when I needed Aidan to sign something or when we wanted each-others advice on one of the pieces of paper.

About 4 hours later all of the paper work is completed.

"And done." Aidan says as he signs one last bit of paper and files it.

I lean back in the chair with a sigh and close my eyes.

I feel Aidan wrap his arms around me, lift me up and sit me on his lap again.

"Thank you for helping. It made it a lot easier." Aidan says, smiling at me.

"My pleasure. I am here to make things easier. That's what a Luna does." I remind him.

"And you did." He says, kissing my cheek.

I wrap my arms around his neck and peck his lips. Before I pull away Aidan crashes his lips to mine again.

Before it gets to heated, we hear a knock on the door.

Aidan and I both stand up and straighten our clothes.

"Come in." Aidan calls.

A second later the door opens to see Raya and Caden.

"Hello Alpha and Luna." Caden says nodding to both of us.

"Please. I prefer May." I tell him.

"And I prefer Aidan. What can we help you with?" Aidan asks them.

"We saw May earlier and we were thinking of hanging out today. Only if you don't have work to do and you would like to." Caden says.

"Would you like to go?" Aidan asks through our mate link.

"I would love to but only if you want to." I reply.

"I would love to." Aidan says.

We grin at each-other then turn back to them.

"We would love to." Aidan says, smiling at them and wrapping an arm around my waist.

"Great. How about the mall?" Raya asks.

"I'm up for that. Guys?" I ask them.

"Uuuummmmm." They both say.

"We won't be there for too long." Raya says.

I look up at Aidan and pout slightly.

"Please?" I ask.

"Ugh. I can't win against that face. I'll go." Aidan says.

We turn back to Raya and Caden and see Raya looking at Caden with a similar pout to the one I was just looking at Aidan with and Caden looks like he's on the brink of giving in.

"Ugh fine. But only for you." Caden says.

"Great. Let's get going." Aidan says.

"Sure. I'll meet you at the car, I just have to go grab my bag from our room." I tell him.

"Sure." He says. He then pecks my cheek and leads the others out the door.

I head upstairs to our bedroom and grab my black handbag and put my phone, my keys and my wallet in it before heading out of the room and towards the stairs.

A second later my path is blocked and I look up to see it's one of the girls that were with Nikki at the ceremony. She was standing with her arms folded and looking up at me because I'm a bit taller then her.

"Can I help you with something?" I ask her.

"You can get the hell off of this land bitch. Nikki wasn't lying she is his rightful mate. And you mean nothing to the pack members." She says, taking a step closer, trying to intimidate me. Let's just say that that's no in my nature.

Instead I take a step forward and she takes a step back.

"It may have slipped your mind but Nikki was made to leave this pack. I suggest you move aside or you might just follow her. I am your Luna so I do have that right. Now if you'll excuse me, I have places to be." I say, walking past her and heading down stairs.

I head out the door and straight to Aidan's car where the others are standing outside of.

"Hey, what took you so long." He asks, kissing my cheek.

"Nothing, just got caught up." I tell him, smiling and hopping in the passenger seat. Aidan hops in the driver's seat and Caden and Raya hop in the back.

"Let's go." Aidan says, turning on the engine.
