《Before I Go ✔️》Bonus Chapter | Before I Go To Prom

I let out a large breath once the dress was above my thighs. I shimmy my way into the rest of it and I feel my waist instantly shrink as I lift it over my chest. They weren't wrong when they said beauty hurts, I think I've lost circulation.

I put on my black heels and do last minute touches on my hair and makeup. My hair was curled and tied back and instead of going with a bold look like Peyton urged me to do over the phone I went with a bronze look.

It was the night of prom, for some, it was the best night of their lives. I wouldn't go that far, then again I don't know what the night had planned for me.

Gavin managed to ask me while we were drinking milkshakes at Mabel's. He had Nancy, the nice lady from Mabel's serve me a plate of fried pickles that spelt out 'prom?' and it was sort of the best promposal.

I've been getting ready for the last hour and I'm finally done. It's a lot more difficult without my best friend to help me.

"Alex!" My mother calls from downstairs.

I frantically run across my room to grab my clutch I almost trip over the long end of the red dress I'm wearing. Gavin told me red was definitely my color so I've stuck with it ever since. But black will always be my favorite.

I grab the dress to lift it up slightly and I begin walking downstairs. When I get halfway I see Gavin standing in the doorway wearing a black tux and his old beat up black converses. His hair was perfectly messy as usual and the smile on his face made him look even more attractive.

I reach the bottom and notice my mother is crying. She wraps her arms around me for a short embrace before pulling away. Sarah is also standing beside her but she's a lot calmer than my mom.

"You look so beautiful." She cries in her hands. "Let's take a picture."

I roll my eyes because I'm not one for pictures.

"Like your mom said, you look beautiful." Gavin whispers to me, I feel him kiss the top of my head and I feel those butterflies all over my body when he does that. I hold out my hand and he puts a white rose corsage on my wrist and I pin my white rose onto his tux. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into him. We both face my mother and then a bright flash blinds us.

"Okay you two be safe and have fun!"

Gavin takes my hand in his and we make are way toward his car. Like a gentleman he opens the door for me and I sit inside after pulling every bit of the dress inside with me.

I turn up the volume in his car because I've come to actually like his music and we arrived there shortly after. Prom was located at a venue downtown which had cars filling up every parking lot around.

I wrap my arm around Gavin's when we head for the building. As we got closer you could hear the music trembling the floor beneath us.

The inside was decorated with white table cloths and lights were strung up above. The first thing I noticed was the large table of food in the back and Peyton waving her arms around for us to see her.

She was wearing a navy blue dress and her hair was perfectly straight. Beckham was matching his tux with her and Carver was matching with his date who was from a town a few miles away.

"Want some special punch?" Beckham wiggles his eyebrows as we take are seats at a table. "Vodka?"

"You're already starting the party early?" Gavin playfully smacks his chest and Beckham nods his head in reply.

"I think I'll wait for the after party." I say and I can see Gavin staring at me in the corner of my eye. He was still against me drinking alcohol. "Shut up." I lean into him and it makes him loosen up. "Let's go dance?" I ask him, the song Better Love by Glades began to play on the loud speakers.

Gavin rolls his eyes as I pull his arm and drag him to the dance floor. A lot of the couples were starting to gather around with us. Gavin takes my hand in his and pulls me close.

"See it's not so bad." I look up at him and smile. "You're practically a natural." We sway to the music and then Gavin leans his head down to kiss my cheek.

"It's not the dancing that I enjoy." He says and I feel his hand lowering on the small of my back.

"It's not the dancing that I enjoy either." I whisper wrapping my arms around his neck I hold him close to me. I suddenly feel his hold become tighter as he dips me down. The smirk grows on his lips and he slowly brings me back up.

"I know." Gavin tells me and we dance in the silence of the music until the song ends. "You know schools almost done so this is the last chance we'll ever get to fuck in the school bathroom."

"No." I shake my head as I sit on his lap. "We're not-"

Gavin gives me a suggestive look and squeezes my waist. Why did he have to look so attractive doing it to? I gulp at the thought of even doing something like that, I could feel that feeling forming in my stomach and it wasn't because I was craving food, I was craving him.

Gavin pushes open the door to the women's bathroom and I follow behind him hand in hand. The bathroom seemed empty, I'm caught off guard when Gavin pulls me into one of the stalls and presses me against it.

Are lips attach like magnets and his tongue slips inside my mouth and washes over mine. My hands wander down his stomach to his belt and I start unbuckling it. What has he done to me I've never been so determined in my life? He pulls away and I let out loose moan, shit I probably shouldn't do that.

My hands wander back up his stomach and grip his shoulders as he starts pulling up the fabric to my dress. Once it's up I feel him pull down my underwear and it falls to my ankles.

Are eyes meet and I'm lost inside them for a moment. He had eyes like rain and hair like waves, a soul as vast and deep as the ocean and I guess I didn't mind drowning in him.

Gavin lifts me off the ground just barely and I feel him ease his way inside me. I hold onto him and grip the material of his tux, I bite my lip and dig my head into his neck to help me from making any noise. I can hear him moan against my ear and I'm only seconds away from melting away at this rate.

Never thought I'd be this glad for my mother's damn contraceptive pills.

Once we finish I rest my head against Gavin's chest and try and regain my breath again. We're both breathing as heavily as the other and we both look at each other and laugh.

"I love you." Gavin stares into my eyes and rubs his thumb against my bottom lip.

"I love you too." I breath out.

Gavin puts a soft kiss to my lips and pulls away, I start to feel something dripping down my leg.

"I'll meet you outside." I tell him as he buttons up his pants.

"Okay." Gavin smiles at me and when he opens the door to leave we're faced with Beckham and Peyton who have surprised looks on their faces.

"This isn't the photo booth?" Peyton laughs nervously smacking Beckham on the back of his head. "Maybe it's on the other side."

I stand there and awkwardly wait for them to leave. Once they do Gavin leaves behind them and I clean myself up. My hair is a little messier when I look in the mirror but a few fixes and it's back to looking reasonably good again.

I find Gavin back at the table and take my seat beside him. We spend the rest of the night laughing and holding hands, we don't dance much because Gavin has a passion for hating it. Peyton and Beckham won prom king and queen and I just admire the way Georgia's been eyeing us this whole time. I'm sure she wanted the title as queen with Gavin beside her.

Ash didn't come or he's just managed to avoid me the whole night. I've only seen Zach once tonight, he was with a brunette who seemed nice, he even waved to me.

Gavin didn't take that too well.

"Here's to one of are last high school parties."

I groaned out loud as I stepped into the car.

"Finally."

Gavin takes my hand in his as he drives to the after party and he turns to flash me a smile I can't help but feel so happy and content in that moment. I got everything I could ask for, I was cancer free, I had and amazing boyfriend and now I was graduating.

It took a lot in me to get to this point and sure I've lost a few friends along the way. Even if I knew we wouldn't walk away friends and even if I knew it would end, I'd still do it again.

Yes, there will be a sequel.

The previous sequel has now been unpublished and I'm working to rewrite it. I plan on redoing it completely and it will start where Alex and Gavin's relationship left off.

I will also incorporate as many details as the last sequel but the story will be different and the title will be renamed Before I Stay rather than Before I Left.

I really hope you enjoyed this rewritten version and I can't wait to start the second chapter of their story.
