"Nat?"

Aquila Cadman entered into the room where her wife was currently sitting in, staring at the wall absentmindedly.

"Hey, Quila."

"Just dropped Harley off with my mum, she's all sorted," Aquila said into the silence of the room before dropping down to sit beside Natasha.

"He's in Toyko."

Silence filled the gap between them again as they both thought about the friend that had been missing from their lives too long.

"The Quinjet is leaving soon, I'm going to get him and bring him home," Natasha mumbled.

"Alright, I'll come then."

"No."

"What?"

"You need to stay here, Quila. Keep the team together. I've got to do this, alone, he did the same for me."

"You sure?" Aquila asked, pulling Natasha into her arms. "Because I'm sure the boys can deal for just a few days. Besides I'm sure there are a few good restaurants in Tokyo, how does dinner and a stay in a fancy hotel sound?"

"You do realize you don't have to keep arranging dates, you've already married me."

"True, true," Aquila said with a laugh in her smile. "So, it's still a no then?"

"It's a no, for now. But that idea of yours doesn't sound too bad once this whole mess is over and done with, yeah?"

"Yeah," Aquila replied before it was her turn to fall back into silence. "I just can't believe that this might actually work. We are going to get to see them all again."

"We are. . . whatever it takes. And maybe then we can do the whole wedding thing over again, with all members of the party again."

"I'd like that." Aquila giggled only to catch Natasha looking at her. "What?"

"I can't believe how goddamn lucky I got."

"Well, you are stuck with this mess for life now, your decision."

"God, I love you."

"Well, it's a really good thing that I love you too then."

"You really can't be serious for a second can you?"

"Nope," Aquila said, picking herself up from the ground. "So the Quinjet is leaving in twenty or so, right?"

"Yeah, it is. I probably need to go get-"

"That should be enough time," Aquila mumbled, leaving the room.

"What was that?"

"You heard me. Come on, Romanoff I don't have all day."

Natasha just rolled her eyes glancing around the room once more, before following her girl out of the room.

"Keira!" Aquila's happy squeal ripped through the compound, throwing her arms around her friend.

She had just come from one of the labs where she had been watching while Bruce and Nebula worked on the Quantum Realm suits, only to come out and find Keira and Tony helping out as well. The whole team was pretty much together again, something that only a week ago had seemed impossible.

Keira shot Aquila a broad smile, just as happy to be home as the rest of them were. "Let's get on with it, people! We've got time travel to work out!"

"Hey, hey, hey. Easy, easy!"

"I'm being very careful!"

"No, you're being very Hulky!"

Aquila watched from the corner as Bruce had grabbed one of the vials of Pym particles and had moved towards Scott to place it in roughly.

"These are Pym Particles, alright? And ever since Hank Pym got snapped out of existence, this it is. This is what we have. We're not making any more."

"Scott, everything is alright." Aquila tried her best to calm him down to no effect.

"Scott, calm down."

"Sorry. We've got enough for one round trip each. That's it. No do-overs. Plus two test runs." Scott said, accidentally pressing a button on his suit, shrinking down before returning back to his normal size.

"One test run."

Aquila wiped her hands on her pants as she stood up to leave the room to see if anybody else needed her help before Scott's voice stopped her.

"Alright, I'm not ready for this."

"I'm game. I'll do it," the whole room turned to see Clint Barton leaning against the door frame.

"Clint, now you're gonna feel a little discombobulated from the chronoshift. Don't worry about it." Bruce informed Clint as he stepped up to take Scott's place on the position.

"Wai-Wait a second, let me ask you something. If we can do this, you know, go back in time, why don't we just find baby Thanos, you know, and. . ."

Bruce and Aquila could only stare in horror as Rhodey as he gestured the motion of strangling baby Thanos.

"First of all, that's horrible. . ."

"It's Thanos!"

"It's still a baby!" Aquila jumped in, horrified.

". . . And secondly, time doesn't work that way. Changing the past doesn't change the future."

"Look, we go back, we get the stones before Thanos gets them. . . Thanos doesn't have the stones. Problem solved." Scott jumped in.

"That's not how it works." Nebula scowled at the men."

"That's what I heard," Clint tried to add.

"Who told you that?"

"Star Trek, Terminator, TimeCop, Time After Time-"

"Quantum Leap-" Scott added.

"A Wrinkle in Time, Somewhere in Time-"

"Hot Tub Time Machine-"

"Hot Tub Time Machine. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Basically, any movie that deals with time travel.

"Die Hard?" Scott asked as Aquila shot him a look. "No, it's not one."

"This is known," Rhodey stated again, trying to prove his point.

"I don't know why everyone believes that, but that isn't true. Think about it; if you travel to the past, that past becomes your future. And your former present becomes the past. Which can't now be changed by your new future. . ."

"Exactly." Nebula agreed as Aquila hid her growing smirk behind her hand.

"Something funny there, Cadman?"

"Nothing, Rhodey," Aquila said, sending him a smile.

"So. . . Back To The Future's a bunch of bullshit?"

The entire team had now gathered around besides the Giant Quantum Realm Generator the others had been working on.

"Alright, Clint, you ready?"

Clint gave a slight nod down from where he stood in the middle of the generator as his suit's mask came down over his face.

"3. . . 2. . 1. ."

Aquila held her breath, her hand clutched within Natasha's own as they all waited.

"And bringing him back in 5. . 4. . 3 . . 2. . 1. ."

Another bright flash of light spread through the room, revealing Clint returned to his normal size on the platform.

"Are you okay?" Natasha asked in concern as she dragged herself and Aquila up to the platform beside Clint.

"Yeah," Clint replied quickly, looking around at the team that had now all gathered on the platform, throwing the baseball glove in his hand toward Tony. "It worked."

Aquila's eyes widened, looking around to see everyone with similar expressions.

It worked. It had actually worked.
