《Bird Set Free | Natasha Romanoff ✓》Chapter Twenty-Nine

To say that Aquila Cadman was anxious would be an understatement.
She was absolutely terrified that something was happening to Natasha right now because she knew that it was her fault.
She should have reached out for Nat's hand earlier, or even quickly transformed to have a human hand for Natasha to grab instead of a sharp talon.
Clint sat beside her, looking as worried as she felt. They had both been examining the cradle only to discover that it was sealed shut and neither of them could see an immediate way of opening it.
"Anything on Nat?" Aquila said, standing up just as Tony entered the room.
"Haven't heard. But she's alive, or Ultron would be rubbing our face in it."
Aquila sighed loudly, was that really supposed to make her feel better?
"This is sealed tight," Clint told Tony and Bruce.
"We're gonna need to access the program, break it down from within," Bruce explained, placing his hands gently on the cradle.
Tony turned towards where Clint and Aquila were standing.
"Barton, any chance Natasha might leave you a message, outside the internet, old school spy stuff?"
"There are some nets I can cast."
"What about you, Cadman? You and Nat are practically soulmates at this point, are you sure you just can't sense where she is?"
"Tony," Aquila said, shaking her head slightly, at his attempt to lighten the mood. "But we'll find her."
Clint sighed loudly before leading Aquila downstairs to an old computer room.
Clint got set to work straight away, typing vigorously on the laptop as Aquila pulled a chair up next to him. The situation too serious for Aquila to do what she usually did when she sat in those chairs.
She watched, her foot tapping quietly against the floor. Until eventually her exhaustion finally took over her, forcing her eyes to close, her head dropping down onto the desk.

The next thing she recalled was Clint frantically shaking Aquila.
"What?" She asked groggily.
"Listen." He said passing her a set of headphones.
Static from the radio was the first thing, Aquila could hear before she heard the small thumps of sound. Morse code.
Clint quickly understood the code as he tapped out the name of the city that she was trapped in, the map revealing exactly where she was.
Aquila felt like jumping up and dancing about the fact that Natasha was alright and they knew where she was so they could rescue her.
"Well, that's fun. We have to go back to the place where this insane week all started." Aquila joked, grinning at Clint in pure happiness.
However, the happy moment was destroyed when the loud thump of a boot stomped on the ground above their heads.
Aquila quickly stood up as the three figures loomed above them. A handgun had been left on the table next to her and Aquila picked it up, just as a safety precaution.
A blue blur shot around the room at rapid speed, the same blur from the fight for the retrieval of Loki's scepter. One of the Maximoff twins. The sound of machines shutting down were clearing heard even for Clint and Aquila below them.
"No, no, go on. You were saying?" A male with a heavily accented tone said.
Acting without thinking as she had quite the proclivity to do, she shot at the glass above her as the boy fell to the ground next to her.
"What?" Clint mockingly asked him. "You didn't see that coming?"
Aquila and Clint raced up the stairs only to hear Stark announce that he was rerouting the upload.
A fight quickly broke out and Aquila rolled her eyes dramatically, they really simply couldn't stop fighting for a moment.
Everyone was choosing sides and Aquila merely stood there, watching it all unfold, only jumping out the way when lightning appeared in the room.

Thor had finally returned.
He raised his hammer high, summoning the electricity that crackled from the broken machines before channeling all the electricity into the cradle, powering all the systems back up.
"Woah." She said still dazed from the blinding light of the electricity.
The room grew incredibly quiet as a maroon man suddenly burst out of the cradle, startling everyone gathered in the room.
Thor was shot off the cradle and onto the floor but it didn't take long for the man's eyes to lock with Thor's taking a lunge at the god.
Aquila didn't even flinch as more glass was broken, an almost familiar sound to her now.
Steve quickly chased after where Vision and Thor had disappeared to, the rest of the team not far behind them. They all stared at the unusual man in shock, as the android eventually floated to the ground.
"I'm sorry. That was. . . odd." The android said before sharing a look with Thor. "Thank you."
A smirk danced across Aquila's lips as she watched in amusement as the android noticed Thor's cape before a yellow cape fell from his own shoulders.
"Thor?" Steve asked. "You helped create this?"
"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks all hope of life and in its center is that" Thor explained, pointing at the yellow gem that sat in the forehead of the android.
"What?" Aquila asked, slightly confused.
"The gem?" Bruce continued.
"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities.
"Then why would you bring it to. . ."
"Because Stark is right."
"Oh, it's definitely the end times," Aquila said, but a smirk did not appear on her face as she sensed the seriousness of the situation at hand.
"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."
"Not alone."
"Why does your 'vision' sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked Tony.
"We. . .we reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new.
"I think I've had my fill of new."
"You think I'm a child of Ultron." The Vision said turning towards Steve.
"You're not?"
"I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am. . .I am. ."
"I looked in your head and saw annihilation." Wanda Maximoff said stepping forward, warning the others.
"Look again."
"Yeah," Clint scoffed. "Her seal of approval means jack to me."
"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side. . ."
"Is it?" Steve asked the Vision. "Are you? On our side?"
"I don't think it's that simple."
"Well, it better get real simple, real soon."
"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all."
"What's he waiting for?" Tony asked.
"You."
"Where?" Bruce asked as well.
"Sokovia," Clint said.
"He's got Nat there as well," Aquila said finishing his sentence for him.
"If we're wrong about you if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be. . ."
"What will you do?" The Vision asked as the room grew silent once more. "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go."
The group stared at the Vision in shock as he easily picked up Thor's hammer handing it to him before walking off.
"Well, you see something new every day, right?"

8 182Rune
In the world of Rune, there are two kinds of Players. The Crafters, and the Fighters. Fighters level their magic power, fueling the runic items from their own bodies, while crafters use the runes they bring back to develop powerful items using their knowledge of the electronic-like system. Not everything stays that simple, though, and Rune is no exception. Within each region, a number of guilds have sprung up, operating as the unaccountable vanguard of defense for the besieged cities. They don't care to deal fairly, and nobody else has the power to do much about it. (Harem is tagged but it's honestly polyamory. I hate the word harem but given that some people would interpret it as such, in it goes.)
8 208Subject 0001
Leon, also known as subject0001 is a boy at the age of 19. He is a criminal with powers granted by unknown entities, as is some others. In a world attacked by creatures known as Kreosoans and humans living in "the dome" protected by a organization of soldiers some with powers as well. Leon catches the attention of the leader of the special force and the hatred from plenti of others as he goes on an adventure. Just say everything you find good or bad. Thanks, and hope you like it! P.S. I marked it gore just to be on the safe side, but I wouldn't really call it a gore. (And) I didn't draw the eye on the cover, but i couldn't fine the person who did.

He sees things that aren't there and keeps having these strange dreams of the days leading up to his accident. That is until everything he thinks he knows about the world is turned upside down. After all, magic is real and always has been. In a world where everything is unknown, follow Ian as he grows his strength and comes into contact with the various forces ruling this new world. The Laen, an organization that seems to want to rule everything magical, and the Fasurus, spirit-like creatures who have been suppressed far too long. Note: This is the first book I have written. I would love it if you could leave a review, no matter how horrible, that could help me do better in my writing. The beginning chapters are a bit slow, but if you can get past that, there is a chance you'll love it. Happy Reading.

8 205BLOODTHIRSTY
He was a sinner even before he was born. A sin that he couldn't be forgiven for. A sin he couldn't be held accountable for. No matter how hard his parents begged, no matter how hard they tried to keep their son safe. Their only option was to hide him. In the process not knowing what kind of monster they had created. They had no idea what kind of evil he held within him. On top of that he realised that a mere human was his only way to sanity. -- "I expected you to run human? Or hear you scream. Why aren't you running?" The smile got replaced with a frown. He looked disappointed. "Why aren't you screaming human?" His eyes turned black and he looked more terrifying than he did before."Y-you won't hurt me."The story is completely made up, the angels and the demons are not the same as in other religions. I have made up a whole different story about the Gods in this book. So be aware.
