"I said I love you too. Shawn Patrick Hunter, I love you too."

I think he was in shock. I saw it in his face as he was still processing my words. But then he smiled. It was one of the most genuine and probably the widest I had seen him smile in ages.

He didn't say anything back.

He didn't have to.

Because he finally did what I was waiting for him to do.

He put his hand on my cheek and placed his lips on mine. Butterflies erupted in my stomach and my heart was running on overdrive. When he kissed me it felt right. And it may sound cheesy as hell, and if anybody else probably said this i'd probably puke. But the way we moved so in sync with one another and how naturally we fit together, it's like we were meant for each other.

Eventually my hand found itself entangled in his hair and I smiled into the kiss. It took about 2 minutes for us to pull back for air. When we did our chests were rising and falling hard.

"Man i've been waiting a long time to do that."

I laughed.

"Yeah? Well Shawn, was it worth it?" I asked as I put my arms around his neck and scooted closer.

"Oh hell yes."

I smiled and reconnected our lips. We made out for about 5 minutes. And it was amazing. We probably would've gone farther if we hadn't heard Mr. and Mrs. Hunter coming to the doorstep.

"You can call me chicken all you want Verna, but that thing was half tarantula and half great dane. I wasn't about to get near that thing!"

Shawn and I quickly separated from each other as they opened the door. When they walked in and saw me, they paused their conversation.

"Oh, hi Cristina. I didn't know you were coming today." Shawn's mom said.

"Oh I just came to ask Shawn something." He smiled at me.

"Well did my boy give you an answer?"

"Yeah." I couldn't help but smile back at him. "Yeah he really cleared things up for me."

"Well good. Don't mind us then, i'm just gonna start on dinner."

"Speaking of which Mom, i'm gonna wall her home as a thank you for setting up the appointment since it's getting late and all, but i'll be back for dinner."

"Oh my son, always the gentlemen."

I chuckled a bit and Shawn nudged me.

"Okay, bye guys."

We got up and he started to walk me home.

"You know I could've walked myself home, but i'm glad you offered so now we can talk."

He put his arm around me. "Well, what do you wanna talk about?"

"Us?"

He stopped walking and frowned a bit. "Do you not want there to be an us?"

I rolled my eyes, grabbed him by his face and kissed him again. When I pulled away I looked at him directly in the eyes and grinned. "Does that answer your question?"

"Yes ma'am." He said while chuckling.

I laughed and we continued walking. "I just want to talk about what exactly happens from here."

He nodded. "Sounds reasonable. Shoot."

"Are we boyfriend and girlfriend now?"

"Well I was planning on asking you in a more spontaneous and romantic setting, but I really want us to be. If that's okay with you of course."

"It's more than okay with me." Our smiles just kept getting wider by the minute and we loved it. "But just because we are boyfriend and girlfriend now doesn't mean I don't still want that romantic gesture."

"Okay, noted."

My smile fell before asking this question. I was slightly afraid of the answer to be honest. "Do you still want to see other girls?" He looked confused by my question. "Because I love you Shawn but I don't think I could handle it if every time we kissed I would think about you with another girl and—"

"Cristina." He said calmly. "The only reason I dated other girls was because I thought you wouldn't look my way." I relaxed. "Trust me, I want this just to be between you and me."

"Good." I smiled. "Now there is just one more question."

"What is it?"

"How the fuck are we gonna tell Cory?"
