《Set Apart》Chapter 39~

"Listen i'm all for a good Cory and Shawn revenge scheme, but shouldn't you let Cristina in on this one? I mean it is on her ex."
"Topanga I love you. But we are doing this for her, and there can't be too many witnesses." Cory hands me the coffee as he tried to talk down his girlfriend. It was really hot so I switched the cup between my two hands every couple of seconds.
"I get that but you two haven't even told ME what the plan is and I really think someone should—"
"Topanga, babe." I cut in. "This is Cory and I's area of expertise. We are the kings of this kinda stuff. Cristina was planning on breaking the news to him today, and since he doesn't know yet we have to act fast before our window of opportunity closes. So just let us work our magic."
"And how are you planning on doing that with a hot cup of coffee? I mean what's the plan? Burn his chest and stain his shirt?"
Cory and I smirk and each other and chuckle slightly.
"Oh Topanga. My sweet, naive, and funny little Topanga." Cory said as he set a hand on her shoulder. "Watch and learn."
"Watch and learn what?" Cristina comes up from behind Topanga and I see Derek come up from around the corner.
"Ah, Carrillo you're just in time." I walk foward towards Derek and look back at her.
"I'm on time for wh—"
She stops her sentence when she sees that i've collided with Derek and spilt my hot coffee onto his crotch.
"AGGHH!" He yells.
"Oh man i'm so sorry. I didn't see you there."
"Owwww!"
Cory comes up next to him. "Derek that stain isn't gonna come out. I would know. Shawn has probably spilled gallons of coffee on me."
"It's true i'm a clutz." I shrug innocently. "But hey man i'm the one who spilled so you just go into the bathroom and i'll get you a spare set of clothes from the lost and found or something."

"Yeah sure." He walks slowly into the bathroom. Cringing at the pain.
Once he's out of our sight I high five Cory and I go to my locker and start putting in the combination. Out of the corner of my eye I see Cristina and Topanga walk up to me.
"Shawn?"
"Yes Pangy?"
"Why would you spill coffee on him just to get him new pants?"
Cristina crossed her arms and cut in. "More importantly, what are you planning? I know you two both well enough to know that staining his pants isn't the endgame."
Cory and I gasp and put our hands to out chests. "Are you accusing of us something?" Cory says.
"Something..." I pause and lean towards them. "Evil?"
"Of course we are. We know who we are dealing with." Topanga said.
"Well, I can't believe that you two don't think we are capable of forgiveness." I open my locker and pull a pair of jeans out from the bottom.
"What are those?" Cristina asked.
"Well they are for your soon to be ex boyfriend." I answer.
"And we must get them to him. We wouldn't want him to be waiting long without pants do we Shawn?" Cory looks over at me.
"Oh we most certainly don't Cory."
"Those aren't from the lost and found. What did you do to those?"
Cory and I gasp again.
"What?" Cory says.
"Us?" I say innocently. "We just didn't want him to get someone else's dirty clothes when I had a spare in my locker."
Topanga leans into Cristina. "Cristina?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm concerned for Derek's safety."
"Honestly me too but I wanna see how this plays out."
"No need to be concerned ladies." Cory reassures.
"We have the situation under control." I smile and walk into the bathroom. "Derek?" I ask to see what stall he was in.

I see a hand go up above one of the stall doors. "I'm in here."
I throw the pair of pants over the stall door. I hear him catch them and mutter a quiet 'thanks.'
"Yeah man sorry about spilling coffee on you."
"It's fine. You got me pants so I guess it's forgiven."
"Cool. But I get it if you're still a little mad. I mean, if someone else did something like that to one of my friends i'd be pissed. In fact, if anyone ever screwed over one of my friends in any way i'd be pissed. Ya know?" I said playfully.
"Yeah but it was just some coffee." He opens the stall door and I smile at him. "I'm over it."
"Good good good." I say. "We'll see you later."
"See you later."
Derek walks out of the bathroom and I walk out a few seconds after, chuckling to myself. I look up to see Cory also chuckling and Cristina and Topanga confused.
"So that's it?" Topanga said.
"You actually just gave him regular pants? Boys you've lost your touch." She crossed her arms but Cory and I just chuckle a bit louder.
"Oh no Shawn." Cory says.
"What is it Cory?"
He put a hand to his cheek as if shocked. "Were those the pants that you were supposed to throw away from the other day?"
I copy his hand motion and put my hand to my face in shock. "Oh no Cory I think those are the pants."
"What did you two do?" Cristina asked.
"See, those once were just a regular pair of pants." I chuckle again. "But Cory and I accidentally gave him a pair of pants that needed to be disposed of right away due to their health hazard."
"What 'health hazard'?" Topanga asked.
"See we took some ghost peppers and poison ivy and accidentally put them in a blender." Cory begins.
"And once those two ingredients fell into the blender Cory here accidentally hit the blend button."
"But after the two ingredients were already blended, Shawn here took the liquid pepper poison ivy and spilled it onto the pair of pants."
Their eyes went wide.
"So know any one who wears those pants will not only feel the extremely strong itch caused by the poison ivy on their crotch..." I let Cory finish my sentence.
"but they will also feel the excruciatingly burning sensation from the ghost pepper in the same place."
"And how soon might they start to feel these symptoms Cory?"
"Oh I don't know Shawn. Maybe about..." We hear a loud scream come from down the hallway. "Now."
We smile in unison as Derek comes running down the hallway and back into the bathroom screaming at the top of his lungs.
"Wow." Cristina says staring at the boys bathroom door. "I stand corrected boys. Nice touch with the ghost pepper by the way. The poison ivy was predictable considering the both of you but the ghost pepper was a very clever addition" She said nonchalantly.
"That was Shawn's idea." Cory pointed at me and I smiled.
"Guilty."
We all stared back at the bathroom door.
"Is now a bad time to mention that he's afraid of spiders and I already put three tarantulas in his locker along with my breakup note." Cristina said.
"Of course not, I love a good sequel to a comedy." I said.
"Good. He'll probably be in there until lunch so we'll meet back up in front of his locker then. Does that sound good guys?"
"Sounds perfect." Cory says.
"See you guys at lunch then."
