"I hate you Lucy!"

"Sorry Cate! This just tickles!" I told her laughing. It was the afternoon of the big movie premiere. I was nervous and I wanted to run out the door and catch a flight out of the country. Cate, Alec and her kids came down to LA for a long weekend.

I told Cate about the premiere and she booked herself a plane ticket down here to do my make up. Cate loved to do make up. She got really into it in high school. I know the basics, eyeliner and mascara. I can do some lipstick. Maybe foundation on a good day. Cate knows all about the primer, highlighting, contour and all that good stuff. She brought her kids and dragged Alec to visit Chris and I and more importantly to see Disneyland.

"Lucy hold still! You'll get weird lines!" She yelled. She was in the middle of putting on the fancy air brush foundation on me. The air tickled my nose and neck.

"Sorry you know I'm ticklish there!" I laughed trying to defend myself. She had been doing my makeup since my junior year in high school.

"Okay now do this." She said puckering her lips a bit to look like a fish. I mimicked her the best I could.

"No! Lucy like this!" She groaned doing the same exact movement.

"Cate! You literally just did the same thing!"

"Just do it!"

"Fine!" I yelled puckering up my lips like she did a few seconds ago. I looked at her and burst out laughing. She did the same thing and shook her head.

"You're absolutely impossible!"

"Okay! Okay just give me 5 seconds to get myself together!" She started counting down from five and I laughed even harder for some reason. Chris wondered into our room where we were sprawled out in the bathroom.

"Lucy I swear if you don't stop fidgeting I'll kick your ass so hard mom will feel it!" Cate yelled and all we hear was Chris' booming laughter from the bedroom.

"Chris shut up!" I shouted laughing. It took another half hour for Cate to finish my make up. She gave me a natural look. My skin had a nice even tone, my eyes looked like art. I had fancy eyeshadow and eyeliner. My hair down and straight like it naturally is. I hate curling my hair.

I slipped on, well tugged on my dress for the night. It was a tight, tight red dress. It pretty much left nothing to the imagination. It had a very low neckline, that showed off the cleavage that I really didn't have. The back of the dress was pretty nonexistent too. Two straps ran down my back to the small of my back. It showed off my back tattoo that went down my spine. This was probably one of the first times I had flaunted the tattoo. The dress was longer than I usually wore too. It went down a little past my knees and had a slit in the back. My silhouette looked amazing in this dress. It exaggerated my small boobs and regular sized butt. It was tight which made me nervous but I actually watched what I ate this month and put in almost twice the time at the gym so I should be fine. I looked good in this dress, but still the idea of going out there knowing people will just bash on me was nerve wracking.

"Lucy! We're going to be late!" Chris called from downstairs.

"Chris! How can we be late when you're one of the stars of this premiere!" I shouted back grabbing my black pumps that matched with everything. I took one more quick glance in the mirror and left the room.

I walked downstairs and Chris was standing in the kitchen talking with Cate and her kids. I walked into the kitchen and fidgeted with my earring a bit.

"Wow, Lucy you look gorgeous!" Cate exclaimed smiling at me.

"Aunt Lucy you look so pretty!" Leah agreed sitting at the counter of the island. Chris just smiled at me not saying anything. He looked me up and down openly enjoying the view.

"You look absolutely stunning." He finally said taking my hand and kissing me on the cheek.

"Well I guess you don't look too bad." I joked. He looked madly handsome in his black suit. He was wearing a regular black suit with a nice black tie. It was a very simple outfit but he wore it like he invented the look. His muscles were even defined under the suit and his hair was neat and slicked back. He looked deliciously handsome.

"Well we should get going." I announced turning to Cate.

"Thank you so much!" I said hugging her. Chris and I left for the premiere a car picked us up and I followed Chris into the sleek Sudan. On the way I wondered what would happen if I jumped out of the car.

"You're shaking the car!" Chris reported touching my knee. His arm was around me and I was shaking with nervousness.

"I'm nervous."

"I can tell."

"Is it always this awful?"

"You get used to it. This isn't one of the best parts of the job."

"It's weird to go out knowing people are just going to tear you to pieces later. Do you how many people are going to comment on the fact we are back together? They are going to rip me in half and spit me out."

"Let them talk. It doesn't matter what they say."

"I don't want to let you down." I confessed to him. He looked like I just melted his heart.

"You can't possibly do that Lucy, you know how much I love you." He touched my leg squeezing it a bit. "But you can still back out, I won't he angry. I can take you back home." He offered and I stared out the window and the door handle seemed to be calling my name. My fingers itched to clutch the door handle.

"No. No. I decided I'm going to this. Got all dolled up for this, might as well go." I told him smoothing down my dress.

"You look beautiful Luce." He said kissing my forehead. His hands wondered making me squirm.

"Mr. Evans, hands to yourself. I can't get all hot and bothered now." I teased.

"Well, I mean it wouldn't bother me."

The car stopped and I heard the crowd of people screaming. I could feel the energy that surrounded us. It made my stomach feel unsettled. There was no turning back now. If I went out there then we're public. And things will be the same for me ever again. This was what I was giving up for him. And I knew this was something I had to do. I was going to be by his side and I'd be damned if I didn't look good while I was there.

Chris got out of the car first and all I heard was screaming, it was loud enough to hurt your ears. It was almost numbing. He stood by the car door taking my hand helping me out. Before I stepped out I took a deep breath and focused myself. I owned this place, I told myself. Have confidence, you're here for a reason. I placed my foot on the ground and I hopped out of the car. I smoothed down my skirt and kept my head high. Chris offered me his arm and I took it. This was it.

We walked down the carpet and Chris paused for awhile to sigh autographs and I stood there waiting for him a little awkwardly. I waved to a couple people I knew. I stroke a conversation with a couple actors I had met. Pretty soon Chris joined me again and we were off for the fun part–pictures.

We walked down the row of reporters and photographers. They were calling Chris' name and he faced each one for a couple pictures. Lights were going off and it was overwhelming. People were screaming for attention and people were talking about us as we walked by.

"Are you smiling?" I asked looking over at him. My hand was placed on his chest in a comfy position. Noticing it, I moved my arm and laced my hands together in front of my dress.

"Oh no you're smoldering. I can't do that! Is this a good smolder?" I panicked turning to Chris. I contorted my face some awkward way making him laugh.

"I'll just stand here and smile like a dork." I mumbled to him making him laugh again. His hand was on my back. He went between tracing the line of my tattoo or resting his hand on the small of my back that fringed on becoming too low. Chris once again got interviewed and was pulled away for autographs and pictures.

We finally got inside the theater and I let out a loud sigh. Chris rubbed my shoulders and smiled at me.

"I'm proud of you." He told me and I just looked up at him.

"I need a drink." I replied pulling him towards a bar. I ordered a Strawberry daiquiri because I needed something refreshing and pleasant. I'm not a fan of alcohol but I am a fan of fruity drinks. Chris got some scotch that tasted like trash and fire.

"How's your little girl drink." Chris teased watching as I sipped down the strawberry drink.

"Do you want me drunk?"

"No particularly. Do you know where I want to go?" He asked pulling me close. One hand rested on my hip and the other holding his drink.

"Where?"

"Ireland" Wow, didn't expect that. I hadn't seen the Cliffs of Moher yet so I wouldn't mind going. We could stay in a little cottage by a cute little sheep farm miles away from a city.

"I'm free next month." I told him smoothing down his tie and looking up at him.

"I won't be for another six months."

"Well, then we'll go in six months."

"We can't just go Luce."

"Why not? We're adults, we're drinking adult drinks. I'm wearing a dress that makes me feel like a woman. We have jobs and pay taxes. We've got nothing holding us down."

"That dress is most definitely a crowd pleaser." Chris said giving me the once over again.

"What a crowd of one?"

"Better be."
