Louis untied the pointe shoes from his ankles, rolling them to loosen them up from his previous tense position. A little girl walked up to him, smiling and reaching her arms up to be held. Louis smiled and kissed her forehead, hugging her tightly.
"Goodbye, Hadley. You'll do great in your recital, sweetie. Go find mommy okay? And tell her thank you for letting me have you for the evening" Louis praised, putting his student down and leaving her running towards her mother who smiled and waved before leaving his studio.
Louis' phone began to ring as he was packing his office things away, ready to go home. "Hey, Mum!"
"Hey, Lou. You're still coming tonight right?"
"Yes, Mum, of course!" Louis promised, laughing lightly at his mother.
"Well Liam and Niall arrived yesterday and you've been gone for the last five Christmases and everyone has been waiting for you, love."
"Yes, Mum," Louis rolled his eyes, "I'll actually be there this year, I've just been busy with the studio."
Louis hadn't been back to England since he had left. When he first arrived he soon realized his passion for ballet and immediately started lessons alongside working in a library and a coffee shop to pay for living in France. After a year, he got to dance as the black swan in the Opéra national de Paris and since then, the opera has been paying him to give ballet lessons to young children at a studio in downtown.
He couldn't just leave, and as much as he wanted to go home to his family, it was just too busy. Until now.
"Harry's coming, are you prepared?" Johanna asked carefully.
Harry was always a touchy subject.
Harry had promised to return after a year and he did, however, Louis didn't, which was surprising and disheartening. But that was Louis' first show. His first ballet and he'd invited Harry to come but the man declined and didn't call back after that.
"Yes, I'm prepared. I'll be fine," Louis reassured.
Louis hadn't dared to say the word Daddy since after the airport and he didn't plan on it either. He was put together now. He had a life that made the comfort of DLLB un-needed and that was okay with him. BDSM was inevitably in the picture but he hadn't been with anyone since he left England and he didn't plan on being with anyone unless it was Harry.
Harry, in California, had become a quick sensation. He'd made his way around with women though, not shocking to Louis, nevertheless painful though.

He was excited to see Harry again but he didn't know what old wounds this would bring up.
He went straight from the studio to the airport, his bags already packed in his trunk. He grabbed his dance bag and two suitcases, shivering in the cold December air, and went through all the customs needed to get him onto the plane. The flight was quick, Louis marking dance steps for most of the flight and watching his old Black Swan performances on Youtube before landing. Most of them had over 500 thousand views. He'd made quite the fan base in the dance world.
He stepped away from the boarding station, immediately seeing Liam and Niall and running towards his older twin to be held. He immediately felt the nostalgia from every night Louis had become little when Harry wasn't around and Liam was stuck trying to comfort the boy the best he could.
"Hey Lou!" Niall greeted, patting the boy backs watching his husband hug the boy tightly. Liam proposed after a year at university and they eloped instead of having a wedding, making it easy on Louis and easier on their mums. Niall still liked to be little occasionally but mostly stayed on the BDSM side of the lifestyle. Liam loved it.
Liam helped Louis carry his bags and place them in the car. They talked about their travels and experiences on the ride home until Louis saw Harry old truck in the driveway.
"He's already here? Mum said he wasn't coming until tomorrow," Louis questioned quietly, even more nervous than before.
"No, he was on a flight super early this morning, it is almost Christmas Eve after all," Liam laughed, trying to make this as easy as possible, considering Louis was tired at 11:30pm and possibly emotional.
When Louis got inside, his dance bag on his shoulder and a suitcase in hand, two dogs immediately ran towards him. Louis almost forgot Liam's pets.
"Hey guys!" He patted their heads and praised them before taking his things next to the staircase and walking into the kitchen. His first sight was his mum at the table, placing dishes and silverware down for a late dinner. Harry was washing his hands at the sink, wiping them with a rag. Louis was silent.
"Lou!" Jay immediately ran into her sons arms, hugging tightly. They held each other for a minute until Liam walked in and Jay was immediately distracted by Niall and the ring on his finger, still entranced by it.
"Hello, Louis," Harry greeted. He looked older, Louis noticed but still like a baby and Louis loved it all. He still loved him, although it wouldn't be surprising if Harry didn't feel the same.

"Hi, Harry. I've seen you around a lot on the news and such. Congratulations on the new album," Louis said genuinely, smiling a sweet smile and hugging the taller boy tightly. Harry sighed happily and gripped onto Louis hard, loving the feeling of his boy in his arms again. Niall, Liam, and Jay watched on with big smiles.
Heels were clicking down the staircase causing silence in the kitchen. A blonde bimbo walked into the kitchen and suddenly Louis' heart stopped beating.
"Oh hi!" a young female voice squealed. "You must be Louis, Harry's best friend from high school. I've heard so much about you. I'm Ashley, Harry's girlfriend!"
Louis immediately began to yell.
"Girlfriend?" Louis turned to Harry. "You have a girlfriend?" He returned back to the blonde bitch to his left. "Best friend? Bitch, I don't know who the hell your "boyfriend" thought he was by bringing you into MY house but, I was much more than Harry's best friend. I don't care how many surgeries you've had in Hollywood, get the hell out of my home on my own birthday. Now!"
Louis went to Harry. "And you. You let me lean on you for years. You let me think we could come back for Christmas and make the decision we should've made four years ago! Harry, how could you? Genuinely. I've watched you on the news, kissing girls on the red carpet. I've listened to your songs with "she" and "her." I've handled this the best way I could without going crazy! You didn't show up to a single ballet. When I invited you to Paris, I offered to pay for your ticket and everything, and you declined for no reason!"
"And Liam," Louis was almost to tears, "you drove me all the way here, knowing she was upstairs packing away her things with Harry in the room next to mine. You didn't speak a word. Mum even called and told me Harry was here without mentioning her. Who the hell do you people think you are?" Tears were streaming down Louis' cheeks heavily. He let out a loud sob and clamped his hand over his mouth, watching the shocked and hurt eyes of everyone in the room. "I-I think I'm going to b-bed. Have a good Christmas Eve."
The kitchen was silent as Johanna continued to place the dishes down after Louis left, her throat choked with tears. Everyone sat slowly, still shocked on what to do.
Except Ashley.
"So! That little feisty rat seems to be a little jealous," She laughed obnoxiously, immediately causing Liam to fire off.
"Shut the hell up about my little brother. I didn't even know you were fucking here and I believe he already told you to leave so why are you still here," Liam growled. Ashley rolled her eyes and stood from the table, expecting Harry to do the same.
"Harry, come on!"
Harry kept his head down, deep in thought. His voice flat, "go, Ashley. You should've never come here." She stormed from the house, her heels beating the tile and the door slamming shut.
"Harry Edward, I don't know why you brought her here or what she is to you, but you just hurt that little boy more than you know. He has his life together. He has a studio, and students that love him more than you and everything else set up for success in Paris. Paris. The city of love and dreams and now you come along and ruin his progress with some fake bimbo in his own home on his birthday. How dare you," Liam snarled.
"Harry," Jay's voice was shaky and soft, "go get Louis, now. You're fixing this. Bring my son downstairs."
Harry nodded sadly and stood slowly.
Harry knocked lightly before opening the door a crack. "Louis?" He called softly. He heard a sniffle and a whimper prompting him to go straight to Louis' bed and picking up the small boy.
"I should be angry at you," Louis cried into Harry's chest, his legs immediately going around the taller boys waist for security.
"I know, baby, and I'm so sorry your first time home has gone like this. Management sent her here, no one knew. I promise, I didn't even know until she arrived 10 minutes before you did. I've met her once, I had to quickly tell her information before you walked in the door and I didn't feel like explaining our situation." Harry stroked Louis' hair until he stopped sobbing. "Sweetheart, I love you. I always have. I promise, love."
"I just wanted to come home to you," Louis whispered.
"I know, lets go downstairs. I want to hear about your studio, I'm sure everyone else does too. The food is waiting. We'll talk later, when things are better."
