"Hello?"
"Harry, Louis needs you here. Now."
Liam sounded tired and quiet. Harry knew what that meant, being that he'd been in this position time and time again. Saving Louis.
Harry sighed but grabbed his keys regardless of the raging clouds in the sky. He hated driving in the rain.
Today, he wanted to talk to Stan. He didn't want to go to Liam's. He didn't want to watch Louis' heartbroken eyes stare into his own, hoping that Harry would fix every thing Stan had broken inside of him.
When Harry got to Liam and Louis' house, Louis was laid on the couch, his eyes closed and Liam quietly cleaning the carpet with a wet rag.
"He started scratching again, his thighs this time."
Louis had an instinctive habit to start scratching himself harshly when he was stressed, sad, angry, or any emotion that made him uncomfortable.
Liam looked up towards his friend sadly, his eyes droopy and full of worry. "He hasn't scratched since last year, Haz, I don't know what to do, his thighs, they were s-so b-bloody, I-I-"
Harry pulled him into a hug, knowing that's what his best friend needed, despite that being against "manhood standards." Liam sobbed into his shoulder, eventually starting to hiccup because of how hard he had been crying. Louis stirred from the couch, making Liam and Harry quickly pull away from each other, trying to restore at least a little dignity.
"Daddy?" Louis blinked quickly, trying to remove the sleep from his eyes. He could finally see his Harry, staring down at him with a smile, showing off his perfectly white teeth. "Daddy!" Louis popped up from the couch, jumping into Harry's waiting arms, koala-ing himself around Harry's torso.
"Hey, little love. How are you feeling?"

"Better now that I had a nap, and you!" Louis stuffed his head into Harry's neck, his breath fanning causing goosebumps to arise on the back of Harry's neck.
"Hmm, I heard you were hurting yourself, sunshine. Daddy doesn't like when you hurt yourself, you know that." Harry's voice slipped deeper, showing Louis the seriousness of his words.
"I-I couldn't stop, I-I'm sorry," Louis stuttered.
"I know you are but when you scratch, love, you leave nasty red marks on your beautiful thighs. You don't want red marks do you?"
Louis looked down the best he could and nodded his head in shame. "I understand, but-"
"Nuh uh, no. You know better, Lou. You were so good for so long. Liam was so worried about you, Louis. You have to be careful. We love you so much and we hate seeing you hurt. Daddy is going to put on a movie and I want you to sit and watch and don't scratch the whole time, okay?"
Louis nodded, laying down on the couch in his previous position while Harry put a movie into the DVD player.
As Harry bent to grab his keys from the coffee table, Louis whimpered, catching his attention. "I don't want you gone. Don't leave, please." His eyes were pleading.
"Liam!" Harry called for the older twin and Liam quickly made his way downstairs. "Watch this with Louis, I have to head back home. Looks, like a storm is coming in." The angry clouds grumbled from outside, confirming Harry's statement.
Louis' eyes got wide at Harry's words. He hated thunderstorms, had a fear of them even, which Harry knew.
He was being abandoned again. Just like Stan had done, and his parents, and now Harry. Liam probably wanted to leave too but Louis wasn't ever far enough to give him the chance to be alone.

Louis snapped out of it, then. His little space immediately dissipates at the realization that no one actually has ever wanted him. Louis was a constant burden. To everyone. All the time.
His face falls and he holds the urge to immediately cry, knowing he'll just cause havoc. He stands slowly, his face emotionless. Softly, he says, "Goodnight. I'm sorry for being me."
Harry and Liam are too caught at his words and face to say anything.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat, 10am Central/ 3pm GMT. ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.

Inertia
A man is summoned to another world by a goddess after completing the nigh impossible final boss of a game. However, this world isn't your typical fantasy world. Though it has magic, it is set far into the future where technology reigns, and magic itself is just a finely-tuned science. How will our hero survive in a galaxy that looks down upon humans? One where his race, which once reigned supreme, is treated like trash along the roadside. Will he, with his diverse crew, be able to save the galaxy while fixing the hostility between the races? Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
