《All at Once (Complete)》Epilouge.

The pitter patter of tiny feet along our hardwood floors was a sound I would never tire of waking up too. Especially when that sound ended with the oomf Riley let out upon being jumped on.

"Come, Daddy! Come!" Lincoln chanted, all while shaking his father awake. He was getting very good with his words, even forming sentences now, most of which ended in 'Daddy, daddy!'

I should be a little jealous that I didn't hold the majority of his attention, but watching the two of them interact was amazing to me, so I didn't really mind... especially since it meant I usually got a little more sleep than Riley did.

Lincoln continued to shake Riley until he became bored with the lack of response, instead turning his attention to me. He leaped up, but was caught mid-air by Riley who had managed to grab him just short of my stomach.

"Come on, buddy. You know you can't jump on mummy. You don't wanna hurt sissy do you?" Riley asked, a slight disciplinary tone to his voice. Lincoln's face fell as he was lowered between his father and I.

"Noo..." he stated, instead leaning his ear against my very round stomach. "Sorry mummy. Sorry sissy."

My heart swelled at the love I could already see between my two babies. I knew Lincoln was going to be an amazing big brother.

"Good boy, Linc," Riley said, turning on to his side, closer to us. "Do you remember what today is?"

Lincoln's tiny forehead scrunched together as he thought hard about what could be so special about today.

"Birthday?" He guessed.

"Nope." Riley answered.

"Christmas?"

"Try again."

He thought really hard this time until you could practically see the light bulb form above his head.

"Uncle Nay-Nay?"

"You got it, bud. How about we go get ready before Nay-Nay and Aunty Bliss get here?" I'd never seen a kid jump up and run out of the room as fast as my boy did knowing he would see his favourite uncle today.

With Lincoln gone for a second, Riley turned his attention to me, pushing a stray strand of hair behind my ear.

"Morning, baby." He said, leaning down to meet my lips. Then he moved to my belly. "Morning, baby," he repeated, this time kissing the skin of my stomach.

We hadn't planned on having another so soon, with Lincoln having barely turned 2. But I knew Riley was so excited to have a girl. He had already picked her name.

McKinley Diana Martin.

After his mother... Lincoln's middle name was Adrian, after my father. Riley was an amazing dad, which was not at all a surprise to me. He adored that boy, and I knew he was going to love our little girl just as much.

"Are you excited to see Bliss?" Riley asked, pulling me from my thoughts. He was leaned on one elbow, which his other hand tracing patterns on my skin. I would never grow sick of feeling his touch.

"You wouldn't believe how excited I am." I hadn't seen Bliss in just over 6 months, since her wedding day. Their week-long honeymoon somehow became a 6 month-long honeymoon when they just decided they didn't want to come home. I couldn't blame them, it had always been Bliss's dream to travel, and I'm so glad she could do that with Nate. But I was definitely more than happy to have Lincoln's Godparents back home.

Our conversation was interrupted by the loud thud of something falling to the ground and the drawn-out "dadddyyyyyy" of our son.

We both let out a sigh. "Your son is making a mess out there," Riley teased.

"Oh, so when he's destroying the living room he's my son, but he was all yours when started walking and talking."

"Well it is to be expected. The boy does have half of each of us in him."

With a gasp I drew my hand back to slap him playfully on the arm, which of course only made him chuckle.

At the sound of another loud thud we both swung our legs over the bed, me with a little more difficulty than Riley due to the massive stomach in my way.

Luckily, I couldn't see any glass on the floor and counted my blessings when I realised all Lincoln had bumped was one of the LEGO towers Riley built yesterday.

"Oh no bud! It's okay, we can build another one," Riley's words caused a visible sigh of relief from Lincoln.

That relief morphed into elation when he heard the knock at the door followed by a just as excited "hello!"

Bliss came bursting in, swooped Lincoln up in her arms and swung him around in a circle. His giggles are contagious as he leans his head back and flys around the room.

Bliss slowly placed Lincoln back on the ground and reached for me, ignoring his "again, again" pleas.

"Hey Sabbie," she said before pulling me in for one of the tightest hugs ever.

"Hey, B," I replied, embracing her just as tight. I couldn't help smiling into her shoulder, remembering all the life we had lived together.

We eventually pulled apart to look over at the two brothers embracing. They had grown a lot closer over the years, and I know Riley had missed Nate terribly.

Nate smiled up and winked, "hey Sabbie, has little bro been taking care of my girl?" He loosened his grip on Riley and stepped toward me but stopped immediately when he noticed my belly.

"Oh my god Sab. You're huge!" He exclaimed in absolute astonishment.

The last time he has seen me was his wedding, before I had even begun to show.

"Oh thanks Nate, just what every girl wants to hear," I laughed before giving him a hug too.

We migrated to the couch, where we watched Lincoln attempt to rebuild his LEGO tower. Riley sat on the floor, half helping him, half conversing.

We sat for hours, talking about everything and nothing. Nate gave us way too many details about their honeymoon and did t bat an eye when Bliss slapped him playfully. We talked about the baby, and how well Lincoln was doing with his words.

We reminisced about all the years we had spent together, and made plans for our futures.

This right here... this was my family.

"You gotta go to sleep now, bubba."

"But dadddyyy..."

"No but's little dude. Sleep, now."

"Okay," Lincoln groaned, climbing up into his bed.

Riley whispered a goodnight before slowly closing the door behind him.

"Will he ever be easy to put to bed?" He asked.

I laughed, and slid my arms around his waist, leaning into his touch, "if he were easy, he wouldn't be our son."

Riley raised his hand and cupped my cheek, leaning in to place his forehead upon mine. I would never tire of his touch.

"Do you even know how much I love you?" He whispered. Stroking my cheek with his thumb.

I leaned into him further, letting the soft moan slip from my lips.

"I imagine it's almost as much as I love you." I meant it. There is nothing in the world that I adore as much as the man before me.

He saved me. He loved me. And he put my broken pieces back together.

I know my parents would be proud of the person I had become.

They would be proud of the man I have chosen and the children we will raise.

I looked into Riley's eyes and saw my entire world reflected back at me.

I closed my eyes and leaned in pressing my lips against his.

This was my everything.
