"...ummm...we need to talk..." I said.

"Yeah I was..."

I interrupted him, "No. Abraham we need to talk." He stayed quiet. "I think it's best if we take a break from one another."

"What?" He said in half breath.

"We need a break from one another Abraham. We are not good together at the moment. We do crazy things together. I make you think you are stronger than you're truly are. I don't think clearly around you. We are just not ready to have a relationship with each other."

He didn't say anything.

"Abraham?"

"Yeah I heard you." He said without emotion. "You know what, I thought you said we were bound to be. Guess I was wrong."

"Are you seriously pinning this on me?" I said hurt.

"Alicia I am in love with you and I hope you are with me. I don't want to break up!"

"I don't want to either!"

"You said you wanted a break."

"I do. But that does not whatsoever mean I don't want to be with you!"

"Than what do you want Alicia?!" He said frustrated.

I started to cry. "You drive me insane!" I screamed.

"You drive me fucking crazy too! But that's what people who love each other do to one another. They fight. They drive each other insane. But guess what...they get through it...together."

I let out a sob.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." He replied.

"But don't you get it Abraham, everyone around us can see that we are crazy for each other and that makes us do crazy things with each other. Who knows what we would've done if my Dad didn't come and get me."

"I don't give a fuck what other people think."

"See Abraham that is just it. You have no care and you need to start. Starting with your Mom. You need to forgive the past and eliminate any ghosts you have."

He needs to know.

"Abraham, we can't be together until you and I change for the better and I think this is best for our love and each one of us. I love you Abraham. When you are ready, I'll be ready and I'll be waiting right there for you. Because we are bound to be."

I hung up without him saying a word.

This was the right thing to do. Right?

After I hung up on Abraham a huge weight was lifted off my chest.

I did need this break.

I cleaned the house. I unpacked everything out of my suitcase. I just started fresh once again in the comfort of my own home.

What I really wanted to do though was garden. I haven't done this since I left.

I changed into some old jeans and old shirt and grabbed my bucket full of gardening supplies in the garage.

The flowers really were quite beautiful.

Flowers make me happy. The unique color each individual flower gives is just magnificent.

I was on my knees grabbing any weeds that started to grow when I heard a soft voice behind me. "You have something special there young lady." This elderly lady said in admiration.

"Oh thank you." I replied.

"I walk every morning past here and just admire those flowers."

"Would you like some? You know to put in a vase."

"That would be nice dear." I started to grab flowers to make a beautiful bouquet.

I grabbed a newspaper and wrapped the flowers in them.

"Here you go." I said handing them to her.

"Thank you. You know every flower must burst through dirt to be able to bath in sunlight." She smiled and started walking again.

I just watched as she turned the corner and realized what she said and how it applied to me.

I have to get through this mess before I can really shine and be happy.
