《Bound To Be》Why Did He Come?

I finished unpacking my clothes and hung what needed to be hung in my walk-in closet. I noticed I pretty much have nothing compared to the space in my closet.
I need to go buy some clothes. Maybe sometime in the week. Yeah sounds like a plan.
I've been waiting to go out on the balcony all day but I waited till I finished unpacking.
I walked out and immediately smelled the scent of the ocean. It was wonderful. The sun hit my skin so warmly. It felt good. We didn't get this much sun in Pennsylvania. I'm glad I moved to California.
I think I'll go get my tan on near the water. I have nothing else to do.
I changed into my bathing suit and put on my cover up and headed downstairs.
"I see you got yourself settled in." I heard Ann say behind me.
"Yeah I did. Thank you again. I was just on my way to the beach to get some sun rays. We don't get this much sun in Pennsylvania."
"That sounds like a wonderful idea. I have beach chairs in the shed, it's on the side of the house. Feel free to use anything in there whenever you'd like."
"Thank you Ann."
I made my way to the shed and picked up a chair and found a spot in the sand right in front of the water.
I'm glad Ann has a private beach. No one bothering me. Perfect.
I laid my head back and put my sunglasses on. This is the life.
"Hey guys over here!" Oh no it's him. Must he always bother me.
"Yeah we'll set up over here." I turned around and seen like 8 guys with Abraham.
"Woah Abe there is a chick on your beach." I heard one of them say.
"A cute chick to say the least." Oh god. Well it was good while it lasted.
"Yeah she's staying here for awhile. Don't pay her any mind she has a very bad attitude." I heard Abraham say.
Just ignore them. Just ignore them.
I plugged in my headphones to my phone and put the headphones in my ears. Ah here we go again.
I played Woman Woman by AWOLNATION.
I couldn't hear nothing which was a very good thing. But not even a minute in the song something hit my arm.
I opened my eyes and seen that a volleyball had hit me. Really!

"Hey dollface mind throwing it back!" I heard one of the guys say.
I grabbed the ball and threw it back.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome." Now leave me alone.
I sat back down but once again it rolled towards my feet.
These guys must suck if they can't keep the ball in bounds.
I threw it back at least five times. Then I got an idea if I go in the water then they will have to get the ball themselves. Yeah that's a good idea.
I took off my cover up and walked towards the water.
I tested the water with my feet. It was deliciously cold. I stepped in further and more further. By the time the water was at my hips I dove in under a wave.
I got up for air and I wiped the water from my eyes. I turned towards shore and I seen all of the guys running in the water and diving in.
Really. I'm trying to avoid them and they keep following me.
I just turned waiting for the next wave to come.
"Hey dollface what's your name?" The same guy who asked for the ball asked me.
"Alicia."
"Well hello Alicia my name is Scott." He said with a gorgeous white smile.
"Nice to meet you Scott."
"Scott why are you keeping the new girl all to yourself." I blushed when more of the guys who may I say with gorgeous bodies came towards us.
"I'm just being friendly and wanted to introduce myself since Abe over there didn't want to introduce us." I looked at Abraham and seen that he was annoyed that his friends were paying attention to me.
After being greeted by all the eight guys I decided it was best if I got out since Abraham kept scowling. Well at least his friends are nice and welcoming.
"It was nice to meet you guys but I think I'm going to go inside and freshen up." I waved goodbye before I walked to shore.
Well that was awkward. I went towards my chair and grabbed my towel to dry myself off. While ringing out my hair I heard someone call my name, it was Scott.
"Hey Alicia I was wondering since your new to this city, you want to hang out with me sometime and I'll show you around?" My first friend here. That would be nice.
"Yeah I would like that. Thanks for asking."

"I'll call you sometime then."
"Yeah totally."
"Okay."
"Okay." He smiled at me with that white smile and walked back towards the water.
I folded the chair with a smile on my face.
********
After I took a shower I put on some sweats and a v-neck. I decided to put on my seeing glasses since my eyes were a little irritated by the salt water.
I wanted to write my father a letter because I want to let him know how things are going.
I got out my notebook and pen and jumped into bed ready to write.
"Whatcha you doing?" I jumped up and seen Abraham leaning against my doorframe.
"Nothing." I said hiding the notebook under my pillow.
"So you were glasses."
"Yeah I had my contacts in earlier but the water sort of irritated my eyes so I'm wearing my glasses." He really didn't need a long explanation.
"I see. So what did Scott tell you?" Woah change of topic.
"Why do you care?" He rolled his eyes at me.
"It's a simple question just answer it."
"I'm not going to tell you since you demand to know." I said looking at him straight in the eye.
"Did he ask you out?"
"He may have, he may have not." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"God your so infuriating."
"Good now you can leave if you don't want me to infuriate you any longer." He continued to look at me before turning around and leaving.
Why must we fight every time we see one another?
I was going to start my letter when my stomach decided I was sort of hungry.
Might as well go out and see what California has in store.
I put on a pair of black jeans with a jean jacket and grabbed my purse.
I started to walk down the hall towards the stairs when I seen Abraham pop his head out the door and ask, "Where are you going?"
"Out." I started to walk down the stairs.
"Wait up what do you mean 'out' specifically?" He said standing at the top of the stairs.
"I'm going to go grab a bite out."
"I'm hungry too. Wait up let me change." He ran to his room and changed. I didn't know his room was a couple of doors away from mine.
He came out and was coming down the stairs with his keys in hand.
"Were you planning on walking?" He asked while twirling his keys.
"I was going to Uber it."
"You can never trust an Uber driver fully."
"Oh but I can trust you?"
"Yeah." He opened the front door for me and I walked out.
I waited for him since I didn't know where his car was.
"This way." He walked to the garage and it opened to a black Range Rover.
He unlocked the car and we got in.
"So where do you want to eat?"
"What's good around here?" I asked him.
"Well I'm in the mood for a burger so we're going to Rock and Brews."
"Are you always so demanding?" I said in disbelief.
"I just get straight to the point Alicia."
I just shook my head. This guy.
We arrived to Rock and Brews where we sat at a booth.
I ordered just a burger and since brew was in their name I ordered a beer.
Abraham got the same as me.
We were quite for awhile. It was just so awkward. Why did he come if he was going to be quite the whole time?
Right when I was thinking that he said, "Look Alicia I think we should start over."
"Okay sounds good." I was waiting for his apology but it wasn't coming. I continued to look at him with a 'keep going' face.
"What?" He asked when he seen my face.
"Are you not going to apologize? I'm kinda waiting for it."
"I don't apologize."
"Like ever?"
"No. I'm not sympathetic."
"Well that must suck. You've got to have apologized at least once." I mean come on.
"Nope. Not now not ever." God he is so arrogant.
He continued to watch the screen behind me with a baseball game going on. The LA Dodgers v. The Pittsburgh Pirates.
He must like baseball since he is so focused on the game.
Our beers arrived and we started to sip them and were pretty much introverted throughout the whole time we were there. I think I would've had more fun if I was by myself.
But why did he want to come if he was going to be like this?
