"uke, I was thinking about buying this. What do you think?" Jennie turns her to her 'boyfriend', showing him her phone.

"Yeah, it looks great," he gives her a small smile.

"Awesome," she smiles excitedly and turns back to her friends.

Lucas wasn't focused on Jennie's dress or anything for that matter. He was more focused on the table where his friends are sitting, where he is really supposed to sit. I'm an asshole, he thinks, I'm a total asshole.

He watches as Zach stuffs the chips from Anna's bag in his mouth, while they all joke around and laugh. His eyes wander to a particular one of his friends. He couldn't help it. Everything about Anna Falls attracts his attention. The dimples that poke her cheek whenever she smiles or laughs, the light brown dots sprinkled all over her nose and cheeks and the earthy brown hues that her eyes hold.

All he could ever think about is Anna. If his brain is a damn canvas, it would be painted with nothing but Annalyn Falls' beauty. However, Luke's very stubborn and egotistic character doesn't make him admit it.

"Hey, Jen," he turns to Jennie, catching her attention. "Do you think we could maybe go sit with the guys for a few minutes?"

"Yes, of course," she gives him a tight lipped smile.

Jennie didn't want that. She doesn't like Luke's friends; barely even stand them. Especially that Anna Falls. She always describes Anna as a doll. Everything about her is perfect. Her looks, her personality and her life. Jennie despised her with burning passion.

She thought that Anna always gets everything and when Jennie finally got Luke, she felt accomplished. She felt as if she just did something that Anna Falls couldn't do it and she was happy about it, but nobody knew that Jennie was just trying to be proud of herself for once.

The couple get up after Jennie explains to her friends that she will be sitting with Luke's friends for the next few minutes and they walk over to the table.

"Okay, but seriously? He just had to bring her with him," Zach sighs, annoyed.

Zach respects his best friend's choices, of course, but he has to admit that was too idiotic of Luke. Too idiotic that he wanted to straight out punch Luke. He couldn't do it, but he knew that he's definitely going to talk to Luke's dumbass later.

"Hey, guys," Luke greets his friends and they all respond back to him, except Anna who is too busy pretending that she didn't hear him by listening to her music.

"Um...do you really eat all of that?" Jennie asks in disgust.

It's not that Jennie is actually disgusted by food, she's more disgusted by the amount of food that they're eating. How can they even eat that much? Do they not feel like throwing up everything? Do they not feel it's just better to not eat? Does that much food not make them feel like making themselves throw up?

"No, we take a selfie with half of it," Anna answers with the sarcasm lacing through her voice.

Luke frowns at this. He isn't used to Anna being sarcastic out of nowhere. Something must have happened, however Jennie knows everything and she is going to pretend like she doesn't.

She rolls her eyes. "I honestly don't know what is wrong with you."

"Nothing's wrong with me. I'm just being mean for no reason at all," Anna replies with yet another sarcastic comment.

"Cherries," Luke sighs when he notices Anna being too rude to his girlfriend and Anna rolls her eyes.

Zach asks Jennie about her friends and replies with how she wants to spend time with Luke. Sophie being the food lover and affection loather, she tells Jennie that she's eating and continues on with eating which disgusts Jennie even more.

"Do you have a problem with food?" Anna finally snaps at her.

"Do you have a problem with me?" Jennie lets out a scoff.

The both of them bicker for a couple of seconds before Luke starts getting annoyed by them. "Cherries, can I talk to you for a minute outside?"

"Okay," Anna shrugs.

They get up and leave the room. "What's up with you?" Luke asks her, crossing his arms.

"Nothing," Anna replies. "Why do you think there's something wrong with me?"

"Maybe because you're treating Jennie like shit?" He answers.

It isn't just Anna treating Jennie like shit. Jennie's doing the exact same thing to Anna and he knows that he'll have to talk to her about it later.

"Me?" Anna's eyes widen in disbelief . "She's the one who has been against me since forever! How am I treating her like crap when she's treating me worse?"

Anna wanted to tell him everything. She wanted to tell him the truth about his so-called girlfriend, but she doesn't want to sound like she's trying to push Luke away from his Jennie. She also has a feeling that he wouldn't believe her. That he would laugh at her, roll his eyes and walk away never to talk to her again. Anna doesn't want that; she doesn't want to lose Luke.

"I know that you don't like her, but can't you just suck it up until she leaves?"

What? And just sit there and get disrespected?

The both of them continue on with their fighting when Anna accuses him of telling Jennie about her anxiety and Anastasia. Anna knows that she might be overreacting a bit because having a disorder and a dead sister sounds like not that much of a big deal but it's a big deal for her. She is already being called a freak for being Asian and even though she acts like it's nothing, it hurts her real deep, almost as if it leaves a cut in her heart that couldn't be healed and Ana's topic doesn't help either.

Luke is surprised about that though. He never told Jennie anything concerning Anna's life. He can't and he wouldn't. She put his trust in him and he wouldn't break it, no matter what.

His eyebrows shoot up. "What the fuck, Anna? Who gave you that idea?"

"She did. She told me that you told her everything!"

Why would Jennie do that? Luke wonders. For an observant person, Luke is still quite confused about a few things. He's an idiot, all right.

"You really think I told her what you've been through?" He frowns.

"Well, there's no other way. Is there?"

"Wow," he mutters, not believing that she lost his trust in him that fast. "If that's what you really think, then fine."

"Fine."

The bell's shrilling screams in the hallway and Anna turns around and walks away hurriedly, leaving Luke standing there.

He runs his hand through his black waves a few times and sighs. "Shit."

Jennie, who has been watching the scene unfold in front of her, struts out in the hallway and smiles at Luke.

"Hey, babe. Everything okay?" She asks him, wrapping her arms around his torso.

"Yeah," he answers in daze. "Jen, can I talk to you about something after school?" He steps away from her hold.

Nowhere to put her hands, she just wraps them around herself. "Yeah, sure. How about your house?"

Luke nods. "I'm going to class," he steps forward and awkwardly kisses her lips, then he heads to his class.

The cafeteria's double doors open and Lory, Jennie's friend comes and stands beside her. "Did it work?" She asks Jennie.

"It sure did," Jennie smirks.

"Thank freaking Jesus! Now I don't have to feel guilty about anything," Lory sighs, then her eyes drop on to the man standing not too far away from them who's been watching the whole scene unfold in front of him.

"This dude is so creepy, I've literally been seeing him everywhere," Lory complains to her friend, whispering.

Jennie turns her head to find a man dressed in all black with his arms crossed as he now keeps his eyes on a couple of students passing by and she resists the urge to roll her eyes before she turns to Lory.

"Just ignore him. He's probably one of those creepy teachers," she reassures her friend.

"Well, there is no way am I staying here then," Lory scoffs, then she starts walking to her class only to stop when she doesn't find Jennie following her. "You coming?"

"Yeah, just give me a couple of minutes. You go ahead," she gives her a smile. I have some business to take care of, she thinks.

"Okay, then." Then Lory heads to her class.

Jennie walks over to where the man is standing and she crosses her arms. "Do you really have to be following me everywhere?"

"It's Mrs. Allen's orders. I have to follow them," he replies, curtly.

"Yes, I'm well aware of that, but can't you just seem less suspicious? You are scaring my friend," she tells him as one message passes through her mind, hoping it would somehow magically reach the person she's thinking about: fuck you.

"I will try," he says, drily.

"Thank you," she doesn't try to hide the sarcasm that's coating her words before she turns around and starts heading to her class, knowing that a few seconds after, the all-in-black man is going to be following her.

"What did you want to talk about?" Jennie asks as soon as they both walk in Luke's room.

"Jen-" he pauses when something catches his eyes out of the corner of them and he sees a curtain being closed from the room next door. Anna's room.

"You were saying?" Jennie asks, coming in front of his vision.

"Right," he turns back to her. "I was talking to Anna today and she said that you told her that I'm the one who told you about her anxiety and her sister."

Jennie freezes before she pulls on a confused mask. "What? No. I never told her that."

"Well, she said otherwise," he crosses his arms.

"Look, I don't know what she told you, but it's clearly obvious that she was trying to find a topic to argue about so she can hide her jealousy," Jennie proceeds with her lying, hoping it would sound convincing enough.

"Jealousy? Why would Anna be jealous?" Luke asks in confusion.

"I don't know," she shrugs. "Or maybe she just doesn't trust you. If she really trusted you, she wouldn't have accused you of that."

"How did you know about her sister and her anxiety anyway?" Luke raises an eyebrow, getting suspicious of her.

"I heard it from someone," she replies, avoiding Luke's eye contact.

Luke sighs and rubs his face. "So you didn't tell her anything?"

"No, I swear," she shakes her head, then she steps forward and wraps her arms around him. "You know I would never do such thing. Right?"

"Yeah," he presses his lips together in a small smile.

He isn't buying it. Not Anna's words. He isn't buying Jennie's words. He knows she is hiding something and he's going to find out what is it. For now, he's going to go along with everything, but only without Anna. She doesn't trust him and losing her trust in him makes him feel like crap. Pure and utter crap.

"What happened with Leni?" Zach asks Luke, focused on the TV as they both play FIFA.

"We fought," Luke simply answers, as his fingers move across the controller, watching the character on the TV pass the ball to another character.

"Why?" Alex frowns in confusion.

"She thinks that I told Jennie about her anxiety," he trails off in order not to tell them about her sister. It isn't his place after all.

"And her sister? Yeah she told us," Zach finishes. He passes the ball to another character and runs towards the goal.

"What did she tell you?" Luke questions. He takes the ball from Zach's character and moves to his goal in which Zach lets out a little curse.

"She didn't tell you?" Alex raises his eyebrows in surprise.

Luke pauses the game and Zach groans, falling back on Luke's bed. "Tell me what?" Luke turns to his friend.

"She's so kind, dude," Alex tells Zach and he nods.

"Can one of you explain what's happening?" Luke says frustratingly.

"That's none of our business. Go ask her," Zach shrugs.

"She isn't even talking to me," Luke rubs the side of his face.

"What did you expect? That she will come back running to you after you yelled at her? Yeah, I don't think so," Zach snorts.

Luke rolls his eyes. "Do you actually like Jennie, Luke?" Alex asks him.

"Of course, I do. Why the hell would I be dating her then?"

Lie.

"Maybe you're just using her as a rebound after Fiona," he suggests, raising his eyebrow.

That statement sticks in Luke's mind and he frowns to himself. He is not using Jennie as a rebound. Not in any way. It was completely something else concerning Jennie and he wasn't about to reveal the hell she's going through to his friends.

"What about Anna? Do you like her?" Zach questions him.

"No. Anna's my friend and I'm dating Jennie. How can I like her?" Luke responds, but he feels as if he's lying to himself. Actually, he's pretty sure he's lying to himself, but he isn't about to admit that to his friends.

That isn't just it, but Luke has this small suspicion that Anna moved on from her liking to Alex because she likes Luke. That sounded way too conceited in his mind though.

"Yeah sure," Alex waves him off.

"We'll get him to admit otherwise one day," Zach grins and Alex nods and shoots him a thumbs up in agreement. Luke just flips off his friends in response.

"Have fun with Jennie, for now," Zach pats Luke's shoulder and Luke smacks his hand off.

"You wanna go, bitch?" Zach challenges him.

"Try me, asshole," Luke glares at him.

"Kids, don't fight," Alex throws a pillow at them.

Luke raises an eyebrow at him and reaches out to grab him by the shirt, but Alex rushes to jump off of the bed and runs downstairs, only for Luke to chase him downstairs.

"Children," Zach shakes his head, standing up and walking down the stairs.

"Emily!" Alex screams, running to his source of protection.

"Lucas!" Emily scolds her son.

"I didn't do anything," Luke holds up his palms.

Emily sighs and walks inside the kitchen, leaving the two guys. Alex stands as far as possible from Luke and their third friend is watching from the stairs.

'You're fucking dead,' Luke mouths to Alex and he gulps before running back upstairs. Luke chuckles and goes upstairs to his room.

"Real mature, people," Zach comments, then he follows them to Luke's room
