I hold back my hatred and anger, and all the brewing sorrow that is miles deep. Every time I look back at Locanas, I want to strangle him to death. Everytime I look at Elodie, so pale in Fray's arms that she looks like a corpse, I want to cry.
Two strong emotions that are pulling me back and forth like a tug-o-war. I hate it.
Fray keeps murmuring words down at me, like a mantra. He uses the same words over and over again in his sentences.
"Relinkas" "Replo triyam" "Frola"
Yeah, a bunch of nonsense basically. I know that he understands that I have no clue what he's trying to tell me. But, I think he's doing it to calm me. The big, thoughtful alien man wants to calm me down.
I sigh, thankful for Fray. His efforts don't go unnoticed, they're actually quite useful. His deep tones and rumbling baritone turn me into a puddle on the forest floor. I can hardly feel my legs.
One glance at my motionless best friend has me feeling guilty. How can I be all mushy over a guy when she's incipacitated? What kind of a person does that make me?
We arrive at the ship in no time, walking up the ramp quickly. Locanas is close behind, and I send a glare at the asshole. He narrows his eyes at me, and I shake my head, hating him more every second that he's nearby. I get bad vibes from him.
Soon enough, we're walking down the long hallways of the very foreign spaceship. I try not to stare, but fail. It's not like it matters. Because pretty soon, everyone is staring at me, and Elodie.
There are several big, scary men standing around the hallways, and coming out of random doorways, and stopping to look on with wide eyes. I stumble, looking at them with confusion. They won't stop staring at us. Their eyes make me feel itchy, like my skin is too tight.

One of them reaches out to touch me, but I try to dodge him. But his hand lands on my shoulder anyway, gripping on to me with rough fingers. Alarmed, I yelp, trying to jump back.
The guy that grabbed me looks young, and mesmerized. He doesn't seem to register my disinterest. That is until a snarl rips through the moment, rendering it in two. The young alien's head snaps up.
"Felisinoe usta relinkas!" The guy insists, but Fray just shakes his head once. His jaw is clenched, his yellow eyes feral, like a predator.
He lets me go, and I stumble forward. Fray mumbles something to me, his voice calming and sweet. I take a deep breath, trying to look down while all of them continue to stare at me.
"Daysintra delna misintresma. Relinkas farashim ono peliceekin." Fray says, his rumbling words running down my spine. He grabs my attention with his eyes, telling me to follow him. I obey, trusting him, he's the only one that I know here, and I need him like a life preserver.
I scuttle behind him, using his bulk as a shield from the onlookers that stare at me. I want to disappear from their eyes. And that's exactly what we do. As we flee down the long hallways, we lose the men that have no sense of personal space.
We end up in a very small, cozy room with lots of light. I get ushered in quickly, and Fray goes to a large bed in the corner and lays Elodie down. I run to her side, sitting on the edge of the covers.
I grab her pale hand and clasp it to my chest, pushing her red hair out of her face. She's so colorless, the only light in her usually but eat face is her countless

"Please be okay, you have to be okay." I tell her softly, running a comforting touch across her forehead fretfully. She fell for a long time, and hit the ground hard.
She's my best friend. I don't know what I would do without her in my life. I try not to become emotional. She's going to be fine. She has to be:
I hear hushed, deep tones that indicate a quiet argument. I glance up to the doorway to see two giant aliens growling at each other. I frown. Fray stands with his back to the room, guarding the doorway with a hand on the wall, his beefy arm stopping the other from coming in. Locanas clearly wants to enter, but my sweet angel man won't let him.
Good.
After a few minutes of terse, quick conversation, the asshole glares inside the room, his eyes lingering on Elodies, before he turns and storms off.
Fray simply nods his head once in satisfaction, and closes the door, locking us in from the outside. I can finally relax without the worry of the other alien men on board.
Now I can focus on my best friend and getting her better, even if there is a ridiculously handsome guy staring at me with interest. I could just eat him up, but now is not the time.

Armored
600 years have passed since the fall of civilization. The earth went through massive changes and core beasts now reign supreme. All that still exists of mankind are ruins and a scattering of walled cities. Festering pits of the worst humanity has to offer, protected by "knights" clad in a mech-like technology called armor.
