Jaeshin's POV
We went to our table in the canteen after buying our lunch. Bora wasn't still around after Yejin finished her lunch. She's fast at anything so there is no surprise that she was done.
"Sorry for taking long. A kid in the bathroom took long to piss." She said, looking annoyed. She sat down beside me and pulled out her lunch.
Yejin waved her hand. "Chill, Bora. I'm not used to that attitude of yours. You two seem so positive all the time." She said, pointing at me and Bora.
"I know. They're not the type to get angry." Younghee agreed.
Maeyoung suddenly cleared her throat and her friends followed. Yejin pointed behind me and I know Jaehyun is already there. I slowly turned my head and like usual, he smiled at me.
I looked back to where I'm facing and Yejin has a dumb-founded look on her face.. like epiphany was washed all over her. "Yejin, are you okay?" We waved our hands at her. She blinked. "Yeah, I'm okay." She muttered and glanced at Bora before pulling out her isopropyl alcohol.
"Jaeshin, confess to Jaehyun already." Kira nudged me and let out a small squeal. "No.. not yet." I said and hid a smile. Maeyoung suddenly waved her hand, catching our attention.
"There would be a love knot tomorrow!" They then threw Yan-ne a look. "Yan-ne~." She scowled. "Don't even try."
"Bring money tomorrow. Sadly though, the knot is just for three minutes." They all said that it was unfair and all. "How about Jaeshin and Jaehyun?" Bora asked and I immediately shushed her.
"Oof, I almost forgot about them. Of course!" Younghee agreed. They all stopped laughing and teasing me and Yan-ne when the bell rang. We wore our bags and walked to our room.

Honestly, time went by so fast I didn't even realize it. If it was Tuesday today, so is love knot. I almost forgot about that but Bora and Maeyoung's friends keep on giving me those smirks.
There was no sign of this love knot in the morning but after lunch, our classmate, Jun, was love knotted with his girlfriend in Class I.
Maeyoung suddenly shouted. "Changkyun oppa, this money's for Yan-ne and Jisung. Please, please, please!" Yan-ne was pulling Maeyoung back but Changkyun oppa has Jisung in his grip already.
Changkyun's classmate, Wendy, tied Jisung and Yan-ne's wrist together and they sat down near the bench with the bougainvillea.
Bora and I roamed around the school and our schoolmates and classmates are caught up on a love knot. Bora suddenly left my side and my eyes widened when she paid Changkyun.
My cousin walked towards me with a smirk. "So you like Jaehyun?" He chuckled and told Wendy to call for Jaehyun. "Bora~." She just laughed at my reaction.
Wendy came back with Jaehyun and they tied our wrists. Yejin and Maeyoung came up then the two of them started to tease us. I just glared at them, my face feeling red.
The knot was tight and Wendy guided us near the gate. Bora, Yejin and Maeyoung followed us and when Wendy left, they started teasing me, not minding that Jaehyun was actually beside me.
"Oh, is it the wedding?"
"Jaeshin, calm down. Your kidney."
"Why are you red?"
I just rolled my eyes and we stayed like that, not talking to each other. I turned my head to Maeyoung, Yejin and Younghee when the short girl shouted, "Woah! Jisung and Yan-ne still didn't untie their knot. It's been minutes!"
I laughed at their reactions and they kept on teasing her. Yejin was also dragging Bora around. She smirked at me and I sent glares at her.

I looked at my watch and it's still a minute. I'm guessing that Jaehyun is being uncomfortable so I said, "Jaehyun oppa, I'll untie it now." I was going to pull the stray string when he shook his head.
"Huh?"
"Not yet. Don't let our three minutes go to waste." He said and looked around. I suddenly blushed, turning my head away from him. I covered my mouth with my free hand and tried so hard not to squeal.
I just looked at my wrist watch and waited for the other two minutes. After two minutes, I immediately pulled the string, untying the knot.
Bora was waiting with folded arms and a smirk. "Oh, can you stop looking at me like that?" Maeyoung stepped in. "Did your kidney malfunction or something?" She asked, laughing.
"Stop with the issue about my kidney, okay?" I said, laughing. "Where's Yejin?" Bora asked Maeyoung. "Teasing Yuta and Winwin." Maeyoung replied and pointed to where Yan-ne and Jisung is.
"They still didn't untie their string." Maeyoung cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, "You're whipped!" Yan-ne looked at her and sent her a glare.
Kira came up with Younghee and Yejin, who was wiping her eyes. "Yuta and Winwin is such a sight to see." She said, still laughing. Kira looked at Yan-ne and Jisung's direction.
"She's secretly enjoying it."
"Bet on you, she wants a part two."
"I bet Jaeshin wants part two, too."
"I don't."
"No need to deny it, Jaeshin."

City of Captives
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the City press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with Essence to power the City in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! This is largely still a draft. I hope to use any comments and reviews in the future. Thanks for reading!
