Jaeshin's POV
It's Saturday tomorrow and there would be no practice, I headed to the library, not to stalk, but to study. Bora went with me as always.
I placed my things on the table and started writing down. I was so focused on what I'm doing that I didn't realize Bora wasn't beside me anymore.
I looked up and saw her behind Jaehyun, looking at books. She turned around and we met eyes. She pointed at Jaehyun repeatedly. I rolled my eyes at her attitude and just went back on writing.
I finally finished what I am doing and I felt a tug on my skirt. I had a hunch on who it is and I was right. Nox. "Jaeshin noonah," I raised a brow. "What is it now?"
Nox smiled. "I like you." I smiled and ruffled his hair. "Why is that?"
"I just like you. I don't like Yejin noonah," I laughed and he folded his arms. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I just want to talk, Jaehyun hyung-" He stopped halfway. I didn't dare look at his hyung. I might blow up.
He suddenly shook his head. "Nothing. I'll go now. Bye-bye." I waved my hand at Nox and he left the library. The kid looks like he knows his priorities so I started placing my things in my bag.
"Going home already?" Bora asked. I also didn't realise that she was now beside me. "Are you teleporting?" I asked and she laughed. "Nah." I wore my bag. "See you on Sunday." We waved goodbye to esch other and I left the school premises.

Monday came and I woke up early for the parade. I already saw Mom preparing my uniform and I went to the bathroom to take a bath. I wrapped myself around a towel and changed into my band uniform.

When I exited my room, Mom was placing my tumbler inside my bag and zipping it shut. She gave my bag to me and said, "Be careful, okay? I'll watch you from outside." I smiled and nodded.
I kissed her cheek and bid goodbye to both my parents. I walked to school and I saw my band mates head to the gym. I went there and was surprised to see Bora. She must be in the bleachers. "Why are you here?" I asked.
"Oh, came by to visit you all. I already greeted Yejin and the others. Good morning." She smiled and linked our arms. I pulled back my arm. "Let me get my lyre. The parade will start."
Bora pouted and let go. "Okay." I walked towards the instruments' room and took my lyre. When I got out, I saw Yejin and Yan-ne approaching me. "Jaeshin! Have you seen Maeyoung?" Yan-ne asked.
I shook my head. "Bora's here." I randomly said. The two paused. "Really?" Yejin asked which also took me aback. "Wait, I thought she greeted you two."
Yan-ne shook her head, hugging her lyre. "We didn't see her. I thought she was already outside." My eyebrows creased. That's weird.
We all turned our heads to the stage when Mrs. Na called us. We all exited the gym and lined up on the school ground. Whem we were all ready, the parade finally started, our schoolmates tailing behind.
We played our pieces and sometimes, we stop playing. Yejin rarely stops banging her stick on her lyre while Yan-ne and Kira rarely plays.
We finally headed back to school and performed what we practiced in the gym. After that, the crowd erupted into an applause. We immediately went to the instruments' room to return our lyres and drums. After that, we change to our school uniform.

Thankfully, Bora reserved us some seats near our section. I sat beside her and I have an urge to ask her why she lied to me.
Again, I was a coward.
I didn't ask and we just participated in the games that were held. We cheered our boy classmates who played basketball and fortunately, our section won.
Later on, the long shooting range started. It's a tradition in our school to shoot the ball with you on the other side of the ring. According to Younghee, my cousin, Changkyun, is holding the title.
The boys went on and on until it was Class IV's turn. We all stared but still, no one shot the ball. It was Jaehyun's turn and the girls teased me. Their squeals was so loud that some heads turned to us.
Especially Jaehyun's.
He smiled again and threw the ball. It ran around the ring but fell on the other side. "That was so close!" Maeyoung shouted. Jaehyun was the last one so no one held the record for this school year.
It was finally lunch time and we all headed to the canteen. Bora told me she'll go to the comfort room for a minute, which was weird because she often drags me with her.
We lined up in the counter and I was roaming my eyes around the canteen when I saw Jaehyun being dragged away. I didn't see who dragged him, though.
Probably Nox.

Jane Walker is trouble. In a world where everyone is powerful, Jane stands alone and apart, hated for her ability to copy abilities and atrocities far beyond her control. But fate is a fickle friend, and a chance encounter soon finds Jane hurtling towards her lifelong dream - or prejudice, humiliation and a violent, painful death. Unbeknownst to them, Matt and Jane’s paths are inextricably intertwined, and as each struggles to find their place an unseen force will draw them ever forward – closer and closer to a secret whose existence threatens not just their lives, but the fate of the entire world. A loving homage to and twist on the superhero genre, Superworld is a fun, subversive story about identity, empathy, connection and courage which has been called “very entertaining and creative” and “an absolute pleasure” by readers, and "completely unreadable" by the author's blind grandfather.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth. The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
