Jaeshin's POV
I was nervous to go to school because Bora might tease me about Jaehyun. I let out a heavy sigh and walked to school. Our house is just a block away from school so I got there immediately.
As usual, I was the early bird. I sat on a bench near the fountain and waited for Bora. I read a Sanha fan fiction in Wattpad until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Bora. She sat beside me and I groaned when I saw that my tablet was now dead.
I kept my tablet inside my bag and Bora and I talked. The bell rang and we went to our room for classes.
Instead of Ms. Lee, Bang Chan from Class IV-A entered our room. "Good morning, fellow students," He said. His friends, which some are our classmates, greeted him teacher. He just rolled his eyes and continued.
"The teachers would be busy making the props for the field demonstration so we, Class IV students, are responsible for their subsitution. I am Ms. Lee's substitution for her subject. Is that clear? And you shall address me 'sir'."
"Yes, sir."
Chan smiled. "That's more like it." He started discussing and as usual, I took my Winnie the Pooh notebook from my bag. I'm surprised that it has still enough pages for notes for all subject.
I heard my boy classmates chittering about substitutes for other subjects. "I heard Jaehyun hyung would be the Math teacher for now." I almost choked on my own saliva and I hurriedly took my tumbler from my bag.
I drank half of it down my throat and sighed heavily. I felt Yejin's eyes on me. "Are you okay, Jaeshin?" She asked. I nodded. "Yeah." I placed my tumbler back in my bag and finished writing my notes.

After we wrote the notes, Chan started discussing about it, but my mind was on another universe. I kept thinking about Jaehyun. Okay, call me crazy because I'll agree with you. I wondered who his friends are, where he lives, what things he love.
"Yow, Jaeshin," Yejin snapped her fingers near my ears, dragging me back to reality. I blinked my eyes and looked at Yejin. She tilted her head to the right. "You're spacing out." She said matter-of-factly.
I sighed. "I've been thinking about something," She raised a brow. I clicked my tongue. "Someone." I corrected, making her lips curve up into a smile. "Oh. And who could this Romeo be?" She asked teasingly.
I gave her puppy eyes and clasped my hands together. "Promise me you won't tell anyone." She thought for a second and nodded. "Okay." She smiled. I leaned my mouth near her ear and whispered, "Jung Jaehyun."
She was one of the oldest students in this school so she immediately knew Jaehyun. She backed away with wide eyes, almost laughing. "You have a crush on-" I shushed her and she completely laughed.
"You know him, right?" I asked. She nodded. "He had a sister and brother here but yeah, she graduated about like years ago, I forgot. I mean, I was a kid," She paused and chuckled. "How did you have a crush on him?" She asked.
I shrugged. "It just eventually came into me." Yejin nodded meaningfully. "I can't blame you. Jaehyun oppa has the looks, but I never liked anyone in this school.
"But, Jaeshin, I'm scared for you. I don't know, I just am." I smiled at her. "Because I might get rejected?" She sighed. "It's not like that. Maybe he wouldn't accept your feelings for him-" She paused and sighed, nodding. "Yeah, rejected."

I waved my hand. "Don't worry. I won't tell him." She rolled her eyes and decided to listen to class when Chan already dismissed us.
She opened her bag and peeked on something inside before shutting it back. "Yejin," She flinched when Yuta called her. "You scared me, Yuta-" The Japanese squinted his eyes at her and said in a whisper. "Are you hiding your phone?"
Yejin immediately put a finger on her mouth, shushing Yuta. "No tell!" Yuta waved his hand, laughing. "Of course, I won't tell. I kept my own, too." The two of them laughed and another reality hit me.
"Oh, guys, I didn't deposit my tablet, too." I said. Yejin and Yuta laughed, telling me not to tell anyone. Well, in Tomodachi High, we have to deposit our gadgets and we forgot to give ours.
"Good morning, class!" We immediately stood up when Kino walked up. "Good morning, Kino hyung!" My boy classmates greeted. He rolled his eyes. "It's Mr. Kang."
"Kino hyung!"
"Mr. Kang."

There was a short practice for the lyre and drum corps while the majorette stayed longer because of their lousy dancing a while ago. Younghee was left in the gym and her friends went home. Bora and I decided to spare some time and went to the library.
We also decided to just make our assignments and also, read. Bora took some books while I laid my notebook and pen on the table. Bora came back with Goosebumps books.
I took 'Night of the Living Dummy' from the pile and flipped the page open, reading it. I was focused on my reading when I heard voices coming in the library.
"Hyung, what are you gonna teach me again?" A little boy asked. The older one that was asked answered. "I will teach you how to count one to one hundred. Is that okay with you? You like Math, don't you, Nox?"
"Yes, Jaehyun hyung!" My face immediately went red and in my peripheral vision, I saw Bora turn her head at me. I can see her wide smirk. I looked at her and scowled, saying not to look at me. She rolled her eyes, chuckling.
This time, I used the book to cover my face while I listened to their conversation. Nox was one of the teachers' son and he's still not attending school. Jaehyun is so considerate to teach the kid.
"Now, let's start with one to twenty."
"One, two, three," Nox started counting. "Fifteen, sixteen.. what was next again, Jaehyun hyung?" He asked. Jaehyun chuckled, making my heart leap so high.
"It's seventeen, Nox. It's okay, continue." Nox continued counting until he reached twenty. "Twenty-one, twenty-two.." The little boy continued.
"Oh, you learned that earlier, Noxie?" I looked up from the book and saw Jaehyun pinch Nox's cheek. The little guy chuckled. "Yes, hyung." Jaehyun ruffled Nox's hair. "Wow, Nox is getting better."
My heart melted at how soft Jaehyun was to Nox. I didn't realize I was staring at him when his eyes landed to mine. He smiled then later went back to teaching Nox.
I felt my heart flip. Why does he smile at me like that?
