《Into The Unkown》Chapter 31

Olivia stood before Aro, Marcus and Caius. The three of them was surprised when she arrived with Demetri, A vampire. "My dear Olivia. Immortality suits you. You look wonderful" Aro says and walked towards Olivia. He took her hand and she stared into his eyes and she could feel herself copying his powers.
"Yes, I can copy another vampire's power," Olivia says answering Aro's unasked question. Aro let out a laugh as he steps away from Olivia. "Whose powers do you have?" Aro asks curiously as he took a seat on his throne. "Edward, Alice, Jasper, Jane, Alec, Demetri and now yours," Olivia answered back and Aro clapped while smiling.
"It seems we have a new addition to our guard," Aro says smiling at Olivia who smiled back. "I'll be honoured to be part of the guard," Olivia says and Aro smiled at her. "Your diet will need to be changed," Caius says and Olivia nods. "I suspected that the moment I chose to come with Demetri," Olivia says standing straight, she knew that once she arrives in Italy and she becomes part of the guard, she would have to feed of off humans and she is okay with that.
Caius nods at Olivia when she said that. "We'll hold the ceremony in a few weeks. We'll invite a few guests," Marcus says and Olivia nods.
Olivia stood in her and Demetri's room staring down at the street. She stood in the shadows, if a human would look up towards her they wouldn't see her sparkle. Suddenly two arms wrap around her waist and Olivia felt Demetri kiss her on her neck before leaning his chin on her shoulder.
"If you listen closely you can hear Heidi gathering our dinner," Demetri says and Olivia closed her eyes and started to listen. She focused in on Heidi's voice. Olivia could not only hear Heidi but she could hear the humans that were accompanying her's heartbeat.

"You can hear them, can't you?" Demetri questions and Olivia nods. "Does it make you hungry?" Demetri whispered and Olivia nods again. She could feel her throat burning as she listened to the heartbeats. "Don't worry darling, we will feed soon," Demetri says to Olivia. Olivia suddenly turned around and kissed Demetri.
Demetri backed her into the wall as they continued to kiss. His hands trailed down her back to her hips. He held her hips before pulling her closer to him. Closing the space between them.
+Few weeks later+
Olivia laid on the bed and she could feel Demetri's hands trailing on her bare back. "You do know I have to get ready, right?" Olivia questions as she turned her head to look at Demetri who gave her aa smile. "I know, but I can't seem to keep my hands off of you," Demetri says smiling and Olivia laughs.
"I know. You've been saying that for weeks. And I can't keep my hands off of you. Not that I minded," Olivia says and leaned towards Demetri and started to kiss him again. "All right. That's enough of this. Demetri, get out. Olivia needs to get ready," Heidi says walking into the room, not caring that Olivia and Demetri were indecent.
"FIne," Demetri says. He gave Olivia one more kiss and took the blanket and held it against his waist as he walked out.
"You, in the shower now," Heidi says to Olivia as she walked into the closet. Olivia stood up and walked into the bathroom. She started to shower. When she was finished she took a towel and wrapped it around her body and another one she wrapped around her wet hair.
She entered the room and saw Heidi hanging her dress for the ceremony on the closet door. "You and Demetri have been has busy the last few weeks. You barely left each other alone," Heidi says and Olivia smiled. "I know," Olivia says sitting down at the vanity as Heidi began to do her hair.

"So when are you getting married?" Heidi asks and Olivia looked at her. "We've talked about it, but with my sister getting married today or tomorrow we decided to wait a few years then tell my father since I want him present," Olivia says and Heidi nods.
"You can always hold a small ceremony here and then in a few years get married in forks with your father present," Heidi says and Olivia hummed. "That sounds like a good idea. Let me talk to Demetri first," Olivia says and Heidi nods.
Heidi finishes with Olivia's hair and makeup and Olivia smiled when she saw what Heidi did. "I love it. Thank you, Heidi," Olivia says smiling at her and Heidi smiled back. Olivia stood up and carefully got dressed in the dress that Heidi picked out for her. She then pulled on a pair of black high heels.
A knock came to the door. "It's time," Jane says from the other side of the door. "Let's go," Heidi says and Olivia nods. The two of them walked out and towards the throne room. Heidi entered while Oliviastood before the closed doors. The doors started to open and Olivia entered her dress trailing behind her and her heels echoed throughout the quiet room. She could hear Demetri suck in a breathe even if he didn't need to breathe.
Olivia came to stop in front of the three thrones and got down on her knees, bowing in front of Caius, Marcus and Aro. "We are here today to invite a new member to our coven and our guard. She has extraordinary powers and she will use them to our advantage, like all our guards. Olivia, do you accept our laws and terms?' Aro asks as he looked down towards Olivia.
"I accept," Olivia answered and Aro took the necklace she got from Demetri. "We as the coven leader accept you into our coven. This necklace is proof of that," Aro says and he puts the necklace around Olivia's neck. He held out his hand to Olivia and helped her up.
"Welcome to the Volturi Coven, Olivia."

Of Gods and Dungeons
March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.
