I tapped her shoulder. "Aeryn?"

"Aeryn, wake up." I again tapped her shoulder and she groaned.

"You can sleep in the hotel but get up now. We don't have all day to spend in the jet."

Instead of waking up, she slapped away my hand.

It's hardly been a day since we got married and she is already getting on my nerves.

"You have left me with no choice", I muttered and then picked her up in my arms in bridal style. And she automatically snuggled into my neck.

The moment she snuggled into my neck I felt weird. A good type of weird and I lightly shook my head trying to brush it off.

With her in my arms I carefully climbed down the steps of the jet. When I glanced at her I saw that one of her eyes was open and she was peaking at me.

"You were awake all this time, huh?"

She rolled her eyes. "Obviously."

My jaw clenched. "You did this to irritate me?"

She grinned and nodded.

"Get down, immediately", I ordered.

"No", she whined.

"Get down, Aeryn or I am going to throw you on the floor." I loosened my grip on her body but she tightly wrapped her arms around my neck.

"No! Don't throw me! You have to carry me now like this."

We were already getting late so giving her one last glare I carried her to the car. The driver greeted me and opened the door and with her in my arm, I slipped in.

Once inside, she still didn't make an effort to move.

"Get off now", I said.

She shook her head. "No."

"Aeryn", I warned her. "Get off my lap."

"Not until we reach the hotel", she said.

And I groaned in frustration knowing she is not going to listen to me.

So, with her still sitting in my lap, I took out my phone and started answering a few emails while she looked out of the window as the car moved.

All of a sudden, she started poking my cheek.

"What now?", I spat.

"And don't touch me", I muttered afraid if she touches me I will feel weird again but I guess she didn't hear it.

"Stop using your phone and enjoy the scenery after all we are in Sydney."

"I have already visited Sydney before. And now don't disturb me", I told her dryly.

I focused my attention back on my phone and from the corner of my eyes saw her rolling her eyes.

I feel like strangling Gareth for making me marry her.

"The view from here is so beautiful!", she exclaimed looking out of the glass wall of our presidential suit.

After getting freshened up, I took out my laptop and settled down on the coffee table in the room and started working.

"Come on, Everette", she said standing in front of me. "Let's go somewhere!"

I had my eyes focused on the laptop and said, "I am busy, Aeryn."

"No", she whined. "I want to go somewhere!"

"I said I am busy", I said a bit loudly.

"And I said I want to go somewhere."

All of a sudden, she shut my laptop and my head jerked up to her as I glared at her. "What the fuck, Aeryn?!"

She smiled innocently. "Let's go somewhere."

I got up angrily. "Don't you understand simple english? I told you I am busy!"

She frowned. "I am getting bored here."

"That's not my problem. Go, entertain yourself; I don't care!"

She walked closer to me and grabbed my forearm. "Come on, if you won't work a few hours, it won't hurt."

I yanked myself out of her grip. "Don't touch me!"

She scowled. "What are you? A president?"

"Just don't touch me."

"You know what?" She walked even closer. "I will touch you."

Saying that she shoved my shoulder. "See. I touched you."

"Aeryn", I warned.

She then shoved my other shoulder. "I touched you again."

She was about to touch me again but I caught her wrist tightly. "Enough!"

In a moment she turned her hand and moving backwards twisted my arm and broke free of my hold.

I groaned rubbing my arm and she grinned. "For your kind information, I know some tricks of martial arts so you better be careful about hurting me."

My eyes widened a little in surprise but I quickly covered it. I really need to be careful now.

"Now, Mr Wilbrose", she said. "Can we go out now?"

"No", I stated and she narrowed her eyes.

I sat down again and opened my laptop and started working.

The next few seconds she was silent but then she spoke, "Can't you take me out? I am your wife."

I chuckled humorlessly. "Wife? Seriously, Aeryn?"

I continued, "I already told you that this marriage is only on paper. Don't expect it to work, okay?"

Her brows knitted together. "You don't consider me your wife?"

"No", I said in a heartbeat.

She went over to the bed and sat at the edge of it. "So...you won't mind if I go out and find someone else to explore the place with?"

"Definitely not. You are free to do whatever you want."

"Very well! Then, I am going!" She got up excitedly and without even bothering about her dress or makeup, grabbed her handbag and walked to the door.

"Ba-bye!" She waved her hand.

I waved back. "Bye, Aeryn! Enjoy!"

And she went away. Peace. Finally.

I dialled my bodyguard's number.

"Keep an eye on her. Make sure she is safe", I told him before hanging up.

.

.

.

It has been an hour since she left and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

My phone buzzed and a notification went off. I picked it up to see a message from Aeryn.

I opened it and she had sent me a picture, the picture download and I saw that she was standing in front of the Sydney Opera House but the main thing was, she was not alone.

There was a man with her, green eyes, clean shaved face. He had his arm wrapped around her shoulder while they both smiled for a picture. She did find someone to explore with. Good for her.

I kept my phone aside and continued with my work.

Half an hour later, I again received a picture from her. This time it was a selfie and they both had ice cream in their hands.

I rolled my eyes and again kept my phone aside continuing with my work.

And again half an hour later, I received yet another picture.

She was still with that man in a church and she wrote under it: Enjoying with Sam.

Yes, yes, enjoy with Sam or whoever the hell he is. I don't care.

Five minutes later...*sighs*...I again received a picture, I wasn't going to download it but I did it anyway and the moment I saw the picture, my grip on the phone tightened.

It was a selfie and they both were in a cafe, sitting too close for my liking and the thing that made my blood boil was their faces that were inches apart and they both had pouted their lips and were about to kiss.

The fuck!

I quickly dialled my bodyguard's number and asked him to tell me her location.

As soon as I got her location, I ran down to the lobby and went outside where there was a car already waiting for me and I climbed in telling the driver the location.

The cafe was not far away and I reached there in fifteen minutes. The cafe was near the sea and they were sitting outside on a table, chatting and laughing with each other with their backs towards me.

That's enough exploration for today.

I marched towards them and grabbing Aeryn's chair, I dragged it back so that she was facing me.

Her eyes widened in shock and before she could open her mouth, I bent down and grabbing her legs, thew her over my shoulder not caring about the public who were staring at us.

She punched my back. "Put me down!"

"We are going back to the hotel."

I put her inside the car and then slipped in beside her.

The whole ride back to the hotel she had her arms folded and kept grumbling to herself while throwing daggers towards me.

As we reached the hotel, I grabbed her hand and dragged her upto our room.

"What the hell is your problem?!", she shouted once we were inside the room.

"Why? I ruined your perfect date?", I mocked her.

She folded her hand and rolled her eyes. "Yeah...you did. I was enjoying a lot. He was so much better than you."

"Locking lips in the name of enjoyment, huh?"

"Oh, yeah...his lips were so soft and sweet...", she drawled.

My jaw clenched. "I don't need the details."

"And that's enough exploration for today", I told her dryly.

"Who are you to decide that?"

My head snapped to her. "Who am I? Your husband; that's what I am."

"Husband? Seriously Everette?", she mocked. "I told you this marriage was on papers only. Don't expect it to work, okay?"

My palm folded into a fist and I cleared my throat. "I take my words back."

She grinned. "So, do you consider me as your wife?"

I took a deep breath. "Yes, I do. Happy?"

"Very."

She then moved past me into the room but I grabbed her hand and brought her in front of me.

"But that also means I am your husband."

She gave me a salute. "Of course, hubby." And winking at me she went inside.

.

.

.

During night, I changed my clothes and wore a pair of sweatpants leaving my upper body uncovered.

When I walked into the room, Aeryn was standing in a corner scrolling through her phone. She glanced at me and immediately lowered her gaze, a tint of pink appearing on her cheeks.

"We can share the bed; it's large enough", I said gaining her attention. "Or if you are uncomfortable, I can take the couch."

She scratched the back of her neck. "Oh, umm...we can...share the bed."

I shrugged my shoulders and layed down on one side, with my back towards her.

Few seconds later, she switched off the lights and I felt the bed dip as she layed down.

A minute passed by when I heard her clearing her throat.

"Everette?", she whispered.

"Hmm?"

She again cleared her throat. "I didn't kiss him. That was just to irritate you."

"Go to sleep, Aeryn", I whispered and she mumbled goodnight.

With my eyes still closed, a smiled formed on my face. Of course, she didn't kiss him.

And sighing in relief, I drifted off to sleep.
