《Aashiq Banaya》He's Gone Now

Shivaay: Anika I'll see you later
Anika: theek hai, bye
Anika pecks his cheek as he leaves for office the following day. A few minutes after he's gone, she notices Om, Gauri Rudra and Bhavya going out
Anika: tum chaar kaha chale hai?
Om: hospital. Bhavya ko leker jaara hai Rudra
Gauri: aur hum dono medicines lene jaare as well as shopping
Bhavya: actually, tum sab jao, mein Bhaabi ke saath rukhti
Rudra: Bhavya tera Appointment hai, tujhe jaana padega
Om: Shivaay office gaya kya?
Anika: haa
Om: phir mein rukhta
He works out that no one is home, except Daksh along with Anika and Chutki
Anika: Om tu jaa, Khannah bas aara hai
Om: then we'll wait uske aane ke liye
Anika: no Om, late ho jayega
Om: Bhaabi....
Anika: Om jao, Gauri isse leker chall
Gauri: Om, Di keh rhi hai voh theek ho gi
Rudra: O jaldi challo yaar
They go and Anika rushes to her room to take Chutki. She's not going to put her down for one second until someone else comes. Feeling thirsty, she goes to the kitchen to take a glass of water
Anika: Chutki, tujhe bhi paani chahiye?
Chutki: paani paani
She says and opens her mouth
Anika: ek mint Chutki
She makes her sit on the kitchen slab and pours the water from the jug into the glass next to her. After putting the jug down, her one hand goes around her baby and the other holds the water glass. She makes her drink it before taking a few sips herself
Anika: acha laga?
Chutki nods her head
Anika: you're my good girl
The baby smiles, accepting the praise
Chutki: Mumma me naach wiv Sonu Maasi aur Shaddu Maasi
Anika: Tujhe naachna hai with your Sonam Maasi and Shraddha Maasi? Okay, next time jab voh aayege, hum dance karenge
The baby claps her hands. When others watch movies in the house, more often with Gauri, Chutki sits and watches the various actors and actresses. Her favourites are when she sees her own to Maasi's dancing and acting, making her applaud at the screen. Though she doesn't understand what's going on in the film, she enjoys their appearance on their TV screen.
Anika: oye Chutki, la la land se bhaar aao
She snaps her fingers in front of the lost baby's face. She comes back down to Earth and looks around. A voice then reaches their ears and it is no other than the villain
Daksh: tum dono yaha masti kare hai
Their heads turn and Chutki worries a little, finding the ponytail man quite dodgy, especially his weird smile. No one shows their 32 teeth like that
Chutki: scaly uncle
She intended to say scary and both the adults interpreted that from her words. Anika takes Chutki in her protective hold. It's true that a mother can do anything and everything when it comes to the matter of their children.
Anika: yaha kya kare hai aap?
Daksh: bas ghar mein ghoom raha tha
He comes closer to them and Anika backs away carefully but hurriedly. Her one arm supports the weight of the baby on her shoulder and the other hand on the back of her head
Anika: Chutki ko kuch maat karna
Daksh: relax, mein bas paani lera tha
He takes the jug and pours another glass. Whilst he drinks, Anika's gaze doesn't leave him. She can't trust him one bit that she can turn around and walk off without him getting her from behind. She begins walking backwards, constantly looking at Daksh who had now finished his drink. Taking slow steps with slightly trembling legs, she is about to fall suddenly when someone holds her from behind.

No, not Shivaay, but her brother Khannah.
After collecting herself, she looks down at the floor and sees some sort of liquid
Daksh: damn it, tu giri nahi?
Anika: Daksh
She grumbles angrily. Maybe if Khannah or anyone wasn't there in time, there may have been a serious injury
Khannah: pagal ho gaya tu? 2 saal ki bachi hai uske haathon mein
Daksh: aur bachi mera nahin hai. Hona chahiye lekin nahi hai. Tum mere hone chahiye lekin bach gayi
He angrily exclaims, making Anika hug her child more protectively.
Khannah: tujhe toh thankful hona ki humne tujhe yaha se abhi tak dakhe maar ker baar nahi nikala
Anika: Khannah Bhaaiya rehne di jiye, kuch log kabhi nahi sudharte
She stops him from edging any futhrr
Daksh: toh mein kaha bolra hoon ki mein sudharke aaya hoon, huh? Vahi Daksh Khuranna hoon, jisne tujhe almost apna banaya
Shamelessly, he proclaims out loud
Khannah: bas ek baar mein Shivaay Sir ko bataoon.....
Anika: nahi Khannah, hume bardaasht karna hoge kuch dehr ke liye. Mein baat karungi usse
Daksh smirks
Daksh: kitne crores ka deal tha voh? Hmmmm, sochne doh, yaad nahi aara hai.
He pretends to think then makes a shocked expression
Daksh: Oh, yaad aaya. 100 crores ka deal hai humara
Anika: itne dino ke liye tu yaha nahi rehne wala hai vese bhi
Daksh: ek hafta aur hai yaha. Aur agar kuch ho jaata mujhe jab mein yaha hoon toh deal....
Anika: No, yeh Shivaay ke dream deals mein se ek hai, usse yeh nahi haarna chahiye
Daksh: toh phir mooh band rakho. Varna mere bhi tareeke hote, aur kohi age restrictions nahi hai
He snaps at her, making her shiver a bit. Is she scared of him? No. But is she scared of what he might do? Yes, especially when it comes to her baby girl. They know exactly what he is capable of, taking a child out from his path like it's nothing big.
Khannah: Anika Di aap jaake araam karo, mein Shivaay Sir ko bulata
Anika: theek hai
If anything, to prevent the deal breaking, she can tell Shivaay that she's uncomfortable with Daksh staying here in the house. Maybe be can plan something to reassure her, if not chuck him out earlier than they had originally planned.
Whilst this was going on, Shivaay just finished a small staff meeting
Shivaay: okay, let's wrap it up there, kohi aur enquires toh please Mishra ko consult karo
He excuses himself from the conference table an goes to his cabin. He take a seat and then gets a video call from a recognised number. He accepts it.
Shivaay: Hello?
Seema: Jiju hi, mein Seema bolri hoon
Shivaay: Seema, hey. Kese chalra hai?
Seema: theek, aap batao
Shivaay: all good here
Seema: acha Jiju, mere paas kuch savaal the, business ke baare mein
Shivaay: poocho
She asks and he answers and confusions she has regarding business, and whilst this is happening, Shivaay's staff manager Mishra enters the room
Mishra: Sir Khuranna deal ke papers kal tak poore hoge, abhi hum review kare hai aur improvements banare
Shivaay: good, Daksh ko hum kaal bulayenge aur papers sign karenge
He turns back to the video screen as Mishra leaves
Seema: Sorry meine suna aapki baat, lekin Daksh? Please tell me yeh Daksh Khuranna nahi hai
Shivaay: Daksh Khuranna hai, mere business client. Actually voh America se aaya hai aur Oberoi Mansion mein rehra hai kuch dino ke liye
He replies confidently but then notices her eyes looking here and there
Shivaay: Seema is there a problem?
Seema: kohi picture hai aapke paas?

Shivaay: ek mint
He takes out his phone and a few seconds later, points the device to the camera
Seema: kutha kameena!
Shivaay: excuse me Seema, yeh mera business client hai
Seema: aur yeh humara dushman hai
Shivaay felt to protest, saying that baseless accusations like this mustn't be made, but her reply makes him curious to know more, so he stays silent but leans to the screen in order to hear better
Seema: jo harkaten issne kiya hai, hume se ek bhi unhe maaf nahi kar sakte, kabhi bhi
Shivaay: Khannah aur tum?
He thinks of Khanna, being her brother and together in the academy, he must have some connection
Seema: Anika Didi ko bhi. I can't believe Didi ne ese hone ko allow kar diya. Zaroor badla lene ke liye aaya hoga. Jis insaan ne usko itna stalk kiya, itna pareshaan kiya aur almost rape kiya.....
Shivaay: rape?
His eyes were wide open. Rape? The guy who was one of his closest friends had the audacity to remain with that title after nearly raping his wife? He was angry on Daksh, for doing this with a woman, any woman in fact. Then he became angry on himself. He should have screened this man, may he be a friend or enemy, some sort of background check must have been done. But Khanna knew this, why didn't he say? Being a bodyguard, how come he didn't say anything. Anika. It must be her stopping his from spilling the facts. Now he was extremely angry on her as well. Was being her husband not a role important enough to know about Daksh? How could she endanger everyone, including her lovely daughter?
Seema notice him lost in some thoughts, so she called back out to him
Seema: Didi ne aapko nahi bataya?
Shivaay: nahin toh
His facial expressions showed how he was very angry, so she tries to calm him and save his wife simultaneously from the shouting she would receive. Seema also felt a little guilty for telling Shivaay. Yes he needed to know, but not from her. He could have found out when Anika spoke with him, but she mistakenly blurted everything out
Seema: Didi pe itna naraz maat ho please, uske paas apne vajhe hoge, yeh baat chupane ke liye
Shivaay: Seema mein baad mein baat karta tumse
He shuts the laptop loudly, grabs his keys in his tight fist and storms out of the office. After the call being cut, Seema tries to phone Anika to inform her of the blunder she created. Unfortunately her phone wasn't being picked up so she decided to call her brother. He didn't attend the call either. Meanwhile, Shivaay raced the car back to the mansion and shouts loudly when he walks through the entrance
Shivaay: DAKSH KHURANNA!
He bellows at the top of his voice, and all gather. Daksh also comes, but his collar is immediately taken into the hold of Shivaay.
Shivaay: Anika ke peeche, huh?
Daksh: toh pata chal gaya?
A smirk spreads across his face. It's evident Anika didn't tell him, and this meant there would be many misunderstandings between them both.
Shivaay: Shut Up you jerk
He pushes him back, resulting in Daksh stumbling. Priyanka takes the small girl, who was confused on her father's behaviour, inside to her room.
Shivaay: rape? Seriously Daksh? Tumne almost ek ladki ko rape kiya, voh bhi meri biwi
Dadi, Bhavya, Gauri and Rudra's eyes open wide, unable to digest this fact. Anika looks down on the ground and Om doesn't know what to do
Daksh: yeh ladki meri hone wali thi, lekin kese haath se nikal gayi, pata nahi
Shivaay: Daksh maan kara hai ki tera galla ese dabao, lekin abhi ke liye, just get out from here
Daksh: Shivaay ese decisions maat lo joh baad mein tu regret karenga
Shivaay: Daksh get out
He demands, then drags him out. For whatever reason, media crew are there and they capture Daksh being thrown off the Oberoi property by the bodyguard and security team, so they huddle him and begin asking questions. This makes Daksh very furious as he vows to avenge his humiliation.
Inside the Mansion, Shivaay looks up at Anika, who has teary eyes. He notices she is about to speak something so he walks in her direction
Anika: shiv.....
Shivaay: Anika tum.....
Om comes between them, stopping his brother
Om: Bhaabi ko kuch maat kehna
Shivaay: tum bhi?
He recognises his brother also knew, but he didn't. This was confirmed when Om lowered is gaze.
Shivaay: Impossible
Shivaay just pushed past and went up to the study
Dadi: puttar tune Billu ko kyu nahi bataya? Vaastav mein tune hum mein se kisi ko bhi kyu nahi bataya kabhi?
Anika: zaroori nahi laga
Gauri: Di yeh itni badi baat hai
Anika: mujhe nahi laga voh kabhi vaapis aane wala tha. Aab mein kya karu?
Dadi: jaake Billu ko manaoon
Gauri: haa, voh aapki baat zaroor samjhega
Anika: samajhna bhool, kya voh meri baat sunega bhi?
Om: try to karlo
Bhavya: Anika Bhaabi app unko samjhao, pata nahi kya vajha hai ki aapne yeh baat nahi batayi unko lekin kuch valid reason toh hoga
Anika decides to go after him ans then sees him when she gets to the study. She calls out in a mere voice.
Anika: Shivaay......
Shivaay: Oh, toh aab tujhe mujhse baat karna hai, kyu naa phirse Om ko batao, ya iss baar Rudra?
Anika: Shivaay suno meri baat....
He again cuts her off, making her eyes well up
Shivaay: kuch baaki nahi hai, samjhane ke liye. Acha theek hai, batao aur kya kya secrets hai joh tune still mujhe bataya nahi. Uss din toh tune bol diya ki kuch aur nahi hai, lekin yeh Anika, Oh My God
He sarcastically claps whilst lecturing her, but her response startles him a bit
Anika: Toh kya aapko lagta mein maze leri thi, Daksh ko yaha dekher? Jab pata chala ki voh aapka bachpan ka dost tha aur naya important business associate, aapko pata mera kya haal ho gaya? Aapko pata kya constant fear tha mere man mein, jab bhi mein Chutki ko ek second ke liye chodker, paani peene ke liye jaati? Kitni dhar gayi thi mein, aur upar se pata nahi kese batao aapko.
She lashed out and shouted, releasing all her anger and fear. Shivaay was astonished by this. It wasn't the wisest decision to hide it from him, but she seemed to have a reason, despite it not being so strong. Maybe he should try and consider her point of view. But still he is right, he had the full right to know if his wife has gone through something like this.
Both of them stood in silence, facing each other. More tears threatened to stream from Anika's eyes but she tried to contain herself. Shivaay also didn't know how to break the tension in the room. The silence wasn't always, but they didn't know how to react. On one side she was waiting for him to react whereas he was confused on what else she had to say. At the same time, they both turned around and left from there.
Shivaay directly went to Om's room to father information
Om: Shivaay?
Shivaay: tell me meine sahi kiya
He well and truly knows he should not have lashed out on her but he needed to know he wasn't they only one thinking he was somewhat right
Om: Chilana nahi tha lekin Bhaabi ko batana tha aapko
He sighs and drops with a thump on the bed, sitting down on it.
Shivaay: kya voh mujhper bharosa nahi rakhti, isi liye nahi batay?
Om: no, esa kohi baat nahi hai, Actually voh dar gayi thi. Usko pata nahi tha aap kese react karenge kyuki usne pehle tujhe nahi bataya. Bhaabi ko laga yeh joh Daksh chapter hai, voh band ho gaya. Toh phir jab achanak se uske saamne aaya, voh ghabra rahi thi
Shivaay: lekin baad mein nahi bataya
Om: usko deal ki fikhar thi, kuch aur baat bhi tha. Voh nahi batayi
Shivaay reflected with Om, meanwhile Anika went to Bhavya and Rudra who were in their room. Bhavya immediately took her in a hug
Bhavya: Bhaabi, aab voh chale gaya
Anika: mein bas batane wali thi
Rudra: Bhaabi ese bade baat chupakar kisi ka faida nahi hota
Bhavya: Bhaabhi aap Chutki ko humare sath chod raat ke liye. Aap aur Bade Bhaaiya baat karo and play-school ki fikhar maat karo, mein usse ready karungi aur vaha chodungi bhi
Anika: sorry Bhavya
Bhavya: sorry ki baat nahi hai, apne parivaar ka madat kari hoon mein
Anika leaves from there
Rudra: kal mein Chukti ko play school leker jaounga
Bhavya: no, bilkul nahi
Rudra: kyu?
Bhavya: meine suna kya dushamani tha aapke paas, school ke saath
Rudra: phir tum bhi aao
Bhavya: theek hai
By night, Anika walked into the room with the filled water jug. She kept it on the table and then looked at Shivaay. He was sitting on the bed using his phone and he also looked up at her. They shared a brief eye lock before recognising what each other wanted. Shivaay extended his hand slightly towards her, keeping his phone on the side table. Tears streamed down Anika's face when she ran to the bed, climbed on it, and buried her face in his lap. His hand caressed her hairs and she simply cried more
Anika: sorry Shivaay
She sobbed as he wiped a few of his own tears
Shivaay: No Anika, Mujhe vese react nahi karna tha
Anika: yeh aapka dream deal tha aur mujhe pata nahi tha aapko kese batao. Upar se yeh public affair bohot bada tha, agar meine interfere kiya toh........
khaandaan ki izzat ka kya hota?
Shivaay: kohi bhi deal iss parivaar se aur important nahi hai. Aur izzat bilkul theek tha
He makes her sit but she doesn't leave him. She rests her head on his chest and Anika listens carefully to his heartbeats
Anika: mein achi Maa nahi ban sakti, meine pehle kaha tha naa?
Shivaay: Nahi Anika, tum bohot achi Maa ho
Anika: kohi achi Maa apni beti ko iss danger mein nahi rakhti
Shivaay: galti ho gayi tumse
He kisses her forehead
Shivaay: aur sabse galti hoti
Shivaay was angry and didn't see any strong valid reason she hid the matter from him. But alas he forgave her. After all, she wouldn't do something before considering the matter a 1000 times.
Anika: Shivaay aap please security ko tighten karo please
Shivaay: lekin voh jaa chuka, He's gone now
Anika: vaapis aayega, zaroor. Pehle humare uspe nazar tha, lekin aab toh voh chale gaya aur kohi na kohi raita phelake aayega
Shivaay: mein extra security enforce karunga, okay
Anika: thanks you
And with this, they carried on their talks
Shivaay: Anika, vese it would have been better agar tune mujhe bataya
He finally tells her but she doesn't respond
Shivaay: Anika
He slightly lifts her head and notices her fast asleep
Shivaay: so gayi ladki
He also turns off the light and lies beside her

For those of you who missed it, this is a Multiple Lead Characters story, hence the tag. I should also mention that this will get crunchy as far as numbers go and please pay attention to the Profanity tag.

Re: Dragonize
After an unexpected turn of events, Drew must now survive in a world full of challenges with life-or-death stakes. Gone are the days when the biggest problems to face were awkward small-talk at physics department luncheons or mountains of lab work; this former physicist is now adrift in an unfamiliar land without any equipment. Now, Drew's only tool (if it can be called that) is a System, which provides constant reminders of all of the things that are still out of reach for a low-level being who's just arrived in a new world. Luckily, Drew has one powerful asset when taking on the challenges of this new world: surviving violent conflict is a lot easier when you have the power of a dragon at your disposal. Still, Drew has always considered violence a last resort. Why turn to fists (or claws) when a bit of quiet consideration might expose a better path forward? Maybe a life of quiet contemplation is still within reach for this former academic researcher. ...Or maybe not. It probably won't be a life of bloodless pacifism. Additional information for those who wish to calibrate their expectations (I'm adding this based on a few comments I received from readers who feel that the story is not what they expected from a dragon-themed story): Re: Dragonize is not a power fantasy -- or at least, it's not intended to be one. Re: Dragonize is a progression fantasy starting with a protagonist who must start at the bottom (or close to it), and work gradually upwards, making incremental progress with plenty of setbacks along the way. The protagonist, as someone coming from the world of academia, tends to be cautious, methodical, and contemplative. As such, expect this story to contain more than a few digressions as the main character takes the time to pontificate on a variety of topics ranging from Newtonian physics and horology to the nature of existence and the ethical dilemmas associated with being an obligate carnivore.
