After being with Hawks with some time now, you began to learn what exactly his love language was. At first, you didn't notice it and saw it as affection for you. But then you saw the pattern, to say the least.
When you were sitting at the couch and watching a movie, he would carefully scoot closer to you and pull you into his arms. Or he would lay down and reach for your hand to hold while watching.
Once you caught him carefully stroking your arm absentmindedly as he read a book.
When lying in bed, his hand held yours softly as he snoozed. It was cute seeing how affectionate Hawks could be with you and not even realize it. It made you wonder if he noticed it too.
So, while he was sitting close to you—shoulder to shoulder—and he was deep into reading something for work, you spoke up about it.
"Keigo?"
He looked up from the papers and hummed in response. He slightly leaned more into you and waited for your response.
"Have you noticed how close you've been to me lately?"
Immediately you regretted how it came out from your mouth. It sounded like you were going to scold him or that it was bad how much he had been touching you.
And that's how he took it. He leaned back from you with worry etched on his face. He said, "I'm sorry Babybird, am I too clingy?"
"No, no that's not what I meant! I love it, actually... I was just thinking this might be how you express love...," you trailed off as the words came out your mouth and you realized how silly it sounded.
"Like a love language? Is that what they call it?" He asked as relief spread through his expression and he returned to his original spot.

"Yeah, love language," you agreed and added, "You've been touching me a lot these days."
He intertwined your fingers with his hand kissed the back of your hand. "How can I not? I want to be as close as possible to you," he whispered into your skin as he peppered it with small kisses.
"Hawks...," you mumbled as you felt overwhelmed from his sudden onslaught of affection.
"What happened to 'Keigo'?" He teased as he gave one last kiss and dropped your intertwined hands at your sides. He squeezed your hand before looking back at his work.
