Wishville

"Baby, none of this is working," my mother groaned and threw the black book to the ground. Pages scattered across the floors. The words were unrecognizable. "Yes, it is. We're dead if we don't figure this out, Ashley. Don't you get that?" My father spat.

His eyes were on William who was strapped down below the water. He looks...dead. His skin was paler than usual. It was a clear tub with a metal covering and bottom. The more I look at him I see the scars across his arms and chest. On the side of the glass were thick locks that looked like a pain to break. "It's been months. Months!" My mother screamed and scattered pictures across the table.

Rocks.

It's pictures of William bloodied and bruised while he's chained to rocks. A cave or something maybe. "We've done everything. I think we should just kill him," Mother sighed. She looks tired, so tired and evil. My head began to hurt but I tried to push through, wanting to see more.

"If you hold on any longer, you'll forget my child," the angelic voice whispered in my head. "No- I'll remember," I fought and held onto the chairs. "Okay. Let's take him back to GoldenCove," my father sighed and rolled up his sleeves to reveal the black veins running up his hands.

He walks to a machine next to William's tank. Father pressed the big red button and William's eyes jolts open as he screamed out in pain.

"Er," Bradey whispers and my eyes flutter open. A huge smile crossed my face and I immediately snuggled closer to my mate. "We have a rough day today, I just wanna stay here forever," Erin groaned and wraps his muscular hands around my torso. We're all making sacrifices for this pack and Everest.

The baby is here.

My nephew. Holy fuck. I've only held him twice before in the two days that he was at the Royal Pack. Now he's here and he's everyone's main attraction. Rieka's eyes actually watered for the first time. She really loves kids. The excitement and happiness only lasted two days before we realized we have to step up our game in order to protect the baby and keep him a secret.

It sucks, it really does but if we announce that King William's child is already born and existing, that arises more enemies and problems. It's safer this way. Until we bring William home. It's been difficult for everyone. Not even Renee and William's parents know about Aisen. Renee claims it's better that way because she finds it exciting.

William wasn't here for the birth of his child, he doesn't even know Aisen existed. That breaks my heart for Everest every time I think about it. "It feels like we're getting nowhere," Bradey continued with a frown. It has been hard on all of us. We care for her so much. She's so loved here and she barely gets to realize it. "We're doing what we can, there's progress. We're winning. William will come back, I know it," I insisted. I kissed his forehead and pulled his leg over mine so we'd be even closer.

"We have to find, William. That damn idiot is more needed than we thought," Bradey scoffed. "I know, but through it all, I think Everest is doing an amazing job running the pack these past couple of months," I pointed out. "Yeah, that's true," he agreed. My finger slid under his jaw and I tilted his face up to press our lips together. My heart flutters at the taste of his perfect lips.

The dominance in me comes to play as we got carried away, I pinned him down to the bed and pressed our bodies impossibly closer together. "Stop, our shift is in ten minutes," Bradey gasped as I kissed down his neck leading to my mark. Though his body reacts a different way by pulling my body down when I attempted to get off of him.

"Are you sure about that?" I snickered and kissed his addictive lips. "Boys! If you aren't up I'll tell Everest!" Renee screams outside our bedroom door. We immediately jolted off the bed. Last time that happened, Everest came in here with water guns. "We're up!" Bradey and I shout at the same time. The rush of the dream hits me hard and unexpected that my head ached badly.

"No fucking way," I cursed through the headache. "Bubs? Are you okay? Your eyes went dull for a sec," Bradey softly mumbled with worry dripping in his tone. "Everest, I need to see Everest," I say before running out of the room, surprising Renee in the process. "Come on!" I grabbed her hand and tugged her along. Fuck, so much information was storming my head right now.

"What the hell is going on right now!?" Renee blurted out as I pounded on Everest's door. Evander opened the door and we barged in. Rieka was sitting on the bed and Everest was holding Aisen in her hands.

"What's wrong?" Rieka worriedly asked for all of them. "Um, I know where William is," I blurted out. "What!" Everest screams and stands on her feet. "Wishville, I've never heard of it before but it's some lab looking thing. It looks so run down but I swear, I got a dream and I heard the moon goddess and everything but Ev...It's our parents," I rambled off.

"Parents? T-They're..." she gasped, her eyes glancing over everything in the room as she absorbed the information. "Wishville is a tiny town that's been abandoned for ages. Ethereal Pack was supposed to expand their land there but they never did. It's the perfect hideout but we already checked there a thousand times, Erin. I doubt William is there," Evander declined.

I frowned at his objection.

"He's there. We still need to check. I smell donuts, I saw the passcode to the door and everything, I know what I'm talking about, Evander," I insisted. We both just stare at each other until Evander sighed in defeat. "Well, come on. Let's go. Someone will stay back with Aisen and I'll go get Will," Everest decided, not thinking for a second that it could've just been an ordinary dream like Evander suggested.

"No, you stay here, Everest. We don't know what we're walking into and I could be really wrong but we still should check. If I'm right then you need to stay here for Aisen, needs his mother," I objected and she glared at me.

"Erin. I'm going, end of discussion. I've done months of training before, I'll be fine," Everest pressed. "I think she should go. I'll stay here with Aisen," Rieka added and gladly took Aisen from her hands. He was enjoying our show, laughing and giggling with happy eyes.

"We'll protect her, it's fine," Bradey mind links me. He's right. "Okay, fine. Let's go to Wishville," I sighed. My fingers raked through my hair as I began to overthink. This better don't go south.

Donut shop.

"I think it's here," Evander said from the driver's seat. "Definitely here. I smelt donuts in the dream," Erin agreed and unbuckled his seat belt. Nervous. I'm so nervous and terrified but I needed to know if he was here to calm the storm of thoughts in my head.

"Let's go," I ordered and the five of us slid out of the car. Erin and I walked ahead, Evander, Bradey, and Renee walking cautiously behind. "Chains," Evander hummed and grabbed the rusty chains. He yanked them off so hard that they crumble to the ground. "Donuts," I scented. Someone's been baking recently.

"Look!" Renee points out to the walls where there was a metal door with a passcode at the side. "Yes!" Erin cheered and we walked to the door. This place was deserted. There was no one to stop us. "Are you ready?" Erin asked, his fingers hovering over the keypad to open the door. "Always," I breathed out. Erin typed in the number 6578 and the door unlocked.

"Thank goddess," he mumbled and pushed the door open. We stepped inside cautiously, awaiting for any predators. Our eyes were met with an empty weird room. So much was going on in this room. There was a tank, machines, a table set, a mini-fridge, and a shelf filled with books and another with small bottles.

What the fuck us this?

Sadly, there were no signs of William and I mentally cursed myself for having an ounce of hope. "He's gone...they're gone! Fuck!" Erin cursed. Out of anger, his fist collided with the wall. My eyes fell on the papers lying on the table. They were pictures. "Stop, wait," I say, my focus on the pictures on the table. "I don't think you want to see those," Erin hesitated and attempted to pull me back.

It was too late. Evander and I grabbed the pictures as we studied their horror. On the pictures were William bloodied and bruised. This is one step closer. We didn't find him but we're closer to him now. The background of the pictures brings back horrible memories. Those were the exact same chains I was once chained up with. "I-I know where this is," I finally say with the pictures gripped tightly in my hands.
