Hypocrite.
I felt like a hypocrite because here I am, for the past three hours, trying to eat but I cannot. Not without Everest, it feels weird. It has taken all of me not to go searching for her, all I know is that she isn't at the castle. Renee enlightened me that she told her about my old feelings for Rieka. Now I regretted my past actions even more.
If that was even possible.
The castle doors slammed hard. Really really hard that I heard it from all the way in the kitchen. So I used that excuse to escape from the spaghetti that has been staring back at me for hours. I walked to the main room only to see Everest holding onto the wall as she attempted to walk up the staircase. Relief floods through my veins and I quickly walk to her. I wondered why it is she didn't just use the railings on the other side and why is it she's having trouble walking up the stairs?
"Everest," I called and slid my hand around her waist. She turns around and I instantly spot her bloodshot eyes. She's drunk...she got drunk. Because of me? "Don't call me baby again! You got your reasons. I know that you're tranna- wait, where did all the music go?" Everest sang the first two lines and then pouts her perfectly kissable lips. I sighed and held her tighter in which her hands finally wrapped around my neck. She's really drunk.
"What happened? How did you get here?" I asked her, pushing the blonde strands away from her still beautiful eyes. "With a car...duh," she laughed at her own joke. "Alright, Drunkie. Let's get you in bed," I decided and easily lifted her and managed to wrap her legs around my waist for ascending the staircase. "Why are you being so nice to me?" She wondered from where her head was resting on my shoulder.

"I'll always be nice to you, Everest. Well...I'll always try. We're mates, you can't get rid of me," I truthfully tell her without thinking hard about it. Everest pulls her head back so we were eye level. The shock on her face makes me stop walking. "We're mates," she gasped, her pretty eyes go wide. I shake my head and continued to walk to her bedroom. "This room is pretty," she laughed as we walked through her room and into the bathroom.
I sat her down on the countertop beside the sink in the hope she could sit straight but instead, she almost falls over. "Oh, Everest. Why did you get drunk?" I mumbled, hooking the hairs behind her ears again. She shrugged her shoulders, her sleepy eyes looking deep into mine. "Bradey made me to it, we were having fun! I forgot I could dance," she acknowledges in excitement.
I had so many questions. Where did she go? Did she find Bradey? Where did she get this dress? What happened? Is she okay? Does...does she hate me? For now, I'd rather her sober answers so I don't ask the questions. Instead, I push her back slightly so her back is pressed to the mirror. "Speaking of the smurf, he told me a joke," she laughed as I looked for makeup wipes.
Finally, I found them in the last drawer. "And what's the joke?" I played along, pulling out a single wipe and with one hand I pulled her back to the edge of the counter. "Knock knock," she started and replied," who's there?" While carefully wiping the makeup off her face.
"Dismay," she stated with the smile I love so much. "Dismay who?" I asked and she tilted her jaw so I can get to the product she blended out towards her neck. Everest laughed again, her body moving away from mine. "Ev if you don't stop moving I won't hear your joke," I threatened and she finally sobered from laughing.

"Dismay be a bad but I think it's funny!"
Everest actually managed to get a laugh out of me. I wasn't taking the knock-knock joke seriously but the ending got me. "See! It's funny!" Her eyes lit up paired with another smile. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," I brushed it off and continued wiping the makeup off her face. The hardest part was probably her lipstick since she used the staining ones so they don't come off while she's drinking. Smart, but a pain to take off.
Also, it was a pain because it reddened her natural lips and I couldn't kiss them better. Five make up removal wipes later, Everest's face was clean and she had consumed two full water bottles. "Shower time," I say and she nods her head while rubbing her eye. The action reminded me of a little child.
I leave the bathroom door open while she takes her shower while panicking. What if she slips or something? "You can go peak," Rilas reminded me in times of weakness and I push him away again. That horny bastard. It had been ten minutes when I was about to knock on the door and ask if she was okay when the door opened and Everest walked out. She looked at me and blushed, her eyes a bit better now.
My eyes remained on hers, not daring to look at the towel wrapped around her naked body. She squealed and ran into her closet. I sighed once she was gone and flopped down on her bed with my arms wide open. Control.
Eventually, she stepped out of the closet. Her eyes were glued to the ground, her hands held together in front of her. Everest wore a purple nightgown. The entire thing was lace material that drove me mad. "Everest," I gasped, noticing the bra and underwear she chose to wear underneath it, knowing very well I'll be able to see through it.
Rilas whimpered at the sight as she walked closer and closer to me. "It's pretty right?" She mumbled, her eyes bright and innocent as she looked up at me for the first time. This is possibly the most naked I've ever seen Everest. "Y-yes, insanely beautiful," I stuttered. My hands itched to hold her.
Keep your eyes on hers, William.
Her lips stretched into a smile at my response. Everest gets into the bed and under the duvet. "Do you need me to stay here with you?" I hesitated because if she says yes, it would take a lot of me not to touch her. "No, I wanna be alone right now," she mumbled and I begin to think that she's finally sobering up. For some reason I frown but don't let her see it, I turn around and was about to head for the exit when her tiny hand fisted into my hoodie.
"Can you be alone with me?"
