ADHI'S POV

I've heard of wedding jitters but that usually happens to the groom. But why do I feel uneasy since this morning. Maybe its because of my superstitions that too much happiness can bring sorrow. Im happy, Im the happiest now than I've ever been. My brother is getting married with a great women, he's getting the happiness he deserves. My maya is with me, happy and healthy and so much in love, My issues with Jeeth is resolved. everything is falling into its place.

Then why do I feel like this. This anxiety, that something bad is going to happen. I dont have the slightest idea. But I dont have time to deal with it now. Because today is the last day my brother is going to be single. Today after the mehndi party, as the best man I have a bachelors party to plan.

So with the absence of strippers and condom balloons we decided to do the bachelors party with the usual booze and a heavy bass playlist. Speaking of the playlist, after maya destroyed my pen drive the whole arranging the song, cutting, merging cycle had to be performed again. My wildcat of a girlfriend knows exactly how to drive me crazy.

The mehndi prep was going on strong. The entire color scheme of the stage had been changed. The yellows and oranges were changed to greens and blues. The mehndi design on tara's hand was drawn by varun. Who would have guessed. Guess being a civil engineer makes you a good artist.

The sun is almost setting. The party will start soon. My dark blue sherwani was ironed and placed down on the bed for me to wear. Maya said she had a red lehenga, designed by Tara of course. God I cant wait to see my goddess wearing red today. Hopefully today I will be able to call her my fiancée.

I double checked the sapphire ring in my pocket. I put that into my pants pocket and zipped it up, there is no way in hell im losing that. I quickly dressed up when I heard the music started playing down stairs. I quickly rushed to arjun's room and escorted him to the stage area.

We got a lot of dancing to do.

MAYA'S POV

Tara looks absolutely stunning. Her dark green and red lehenga with a light layer of air brush makeup and jasmine flowers on her open hair made her look like she walked straight out of fairytale. All the bridesmaids and the boys were dressed in red while the groom party was dressed in blue. I coordinated those colors with the Color scheme. As Tara descends through the pathway, it was designed that after the passes each lamppost then only it will light up. So it looks like she is the light bringer for the evening. And it is true, Tara is everything light.

The blasting music from the courtyard was dimmed as Tara entered. The whole crowd got quiet and gasped at the exact same time. Because my sister was dead drop gorgeous tonight. But my eyes searched for the most priceless reaction of Jeevan uncle and Latha aunty. Their eyes were lined with tears as they watched their baby walk down the pathway. Tara gave them a wink as she passed by and went straight towards the gaping groom. A laugh burst out of me as I took in arjun's reaction. His entire face was flushed and his jaw had hit the floor. Everyone I mean every girl was swooning over arjun's reaction. Wishing that their man would look at them the way arjun looks at Tara.

Well im lucky in that case. Because my man was looking at me like he's gonna eat me alive. I just winked and blew a kiss at him. And his eyes darkened even more. oooh im getting some tonight alright.

The function started soon enough. We started with our program, ladies first of course. It was a fusion dance with Bollywood, Tamil and Telugu songs. And in the middle we did pull Tara and arjun to dance with us. Tara knew the whole routine so she danced like gazelle arjun just awkwardly stood there and gaped at Tara. Which was so much better.

Then came Adhi's dance. And boy did he dance. The pen drive destruction didnt work as they played the song by someone's phone And he rocked it. I could take my eyes off of him. And so many others too. I wont blame them but that's my guy, anyone got eyes on him declares war with me. My eyes caught with greeshma between the dance. She looked victoriously at me as she partnered up with adhi in the dance. I just smirked at her and moved on but her look gave me the chills.

Somebody tapped me at my shoulders. when I turned around it was Jeeth.

"Hey... what's wrong?" Jeeth was covered in sweat.

"What's wrong? What's wrong? What's wrong is that your best friend is a princess, that's what's wrong" Jeeth yelled.

"Manny is a princess?" I had sent Jeeth and his chopper to fetch manny for the wedding. Since there is a chopper at our disposal why waste it.

"yes he is" he ran a hand through his ruffled hair.

"is that why youre covered in sweat? Did you guys fight?"

"No... Not quite" He stuttered. That is when I really noticed him. his ruffled hair, wrongly buttoned shirt, and swollen lips.

"OH MY GOD! You hooked up with him? In the chopper?" I yelled while Jeeth was trying to shush me

"No darling, We hooked up after we stopped the chopper. Were not Illyrians to have sex on air" Manny walked upto us his arms spread, clad in a baby pink kurta, not a hair out of place so unlike Jeeth.

"I would hug you, but youre covered in sex so No" I moved out his held out hands.

"Well your loss, where is the groom?" manny moved towards the stage pinching casually at jeeth's butt leaving the poor guy yelping.

"I thought he was a princess?" I asked Jeeth

"Yeah but also he is hot!" Jeeth fanned himself. A chuckle rose out of me as I took in his face. He was happy.

"Im happy for you Jeeth. Manny is a good guy. If you guys are serious and that was not a random hook up, then that guy is a keeper"

"I dont know yet, But I hope it works out. I want to be stuck on something I cant have, so Its better I that I take what I can get. And manny is a catch." Jeeth grinned.

"yeah he is. Good luck buddy" I hugged him and received the most warmest hug one could ever give a person.

As I moved to the stage, the elder's were performing "aaja mahi ve" from kal ho naho. All the guests joined and ended the dance ceremony gracefully. The next programme was the video montage. While Tara and arjun will sit down and apply mehndi their childhood pictures, photos of the engagement and haldi will play as a slideshow.

I walked towards the montage and set up the laptop and the video. All they had to do was press enter and the video would play on the big screen. As all guest got seated the video started playing Arjun and Tara's childhood pictures were the first. After a few of their single pictures, Pictures including mine and Adhi's pictures came up. A picture where little arjun was looking over a tiny baby in a crib wearing nothing but a diaper came in and I melted. Adhi was so adorable. Baby adhi had the purest, toothless smile on his face while he looked at his brother.

I looked over at adhi and saw him standing right behind me with the goofiest grin on his face as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He whispered in my ears "Our babies will look like that"

I just leaned into him as my eyes found the screen again. There I was in the ugliest of yellow dresses running behind Tara and vivek at the old Tharavadu while my mom stood by and smiled. A small smile tugged at my lips as I looked at that picture, Life was so easy then.

"our babies will look like that" I pointed to my baby picture.

"Ill take it" Adhi says as he nips at my ears sending shivers to all parts of my body. "Lets get out of here, I have a surprise for you"

My heart started doing a salsa in my chest. I wouldn't be surprises If I was gonna faint anytime with excitement. I knew what that surprise was but I had to act surprises when he actually performs that surprise. I suddenly hate vivek for spoiling it for me. If I didnt known it would've been much easier. Adhi lets out his hand, I take it as we walk out of the courtyard hand in hand making sure we are not seen.

He leads me inside the Tharavadu and we walks the stairs to the top floor giving me occasional kisses and bites on my neck which sends me spiralling. We stop infront of Tara and mine room. He walks inside and opens the window we use to sneak to the rooftop. Adhi returns to me and blindfolds me with a red cloth. The minute my eyes are closed he bites down on my lower lip as he pulls me in for a kiss.

The kiss sent me to oblivion, searching for the depth of the universe and seeping through the lengths of it at the same time. His lips envelope mine perfectly, his tongue meets mine and I nearly levitate off the ground. My toes curl as his hands leaves my face and drags down my neck between my chest and on to my waist and as the blouse only covers my chest and exposes my entire waist, His hands on my naked flesh awakens something in me. Adhi draws something on my waist with his hands and im in no position to understand what it is. My mouth expresses what I feel and I let out not so soft moan as my nails dig into his back.

Adhi's lips falls to my neck and I slowly die right there. He gives me kisses and bites as my moans get louder. He pinches my waist and my hand falls to his and dig my nails. Adhi pulls back suddenly and I feel him walk away from me. The blindfold makes this situation 200% hotter. I have an idea where this is going and im so ready for it. I slowly reach out my hands towards where I hope adhi is but his hands slowly envelope me from behind.

"Keep walking baby" He whispers into my ears.

I feel him leading towards the window as the cold air hits my face. Adhi's strong hands tighten on my hips as he lifts me by the waist and places me on the other side of the window. I reach for a support to steady my feet and I feel his hands fall into mine. He places a soft kiss on the back of my neck and slowly removes my blindfold.

My eyes adjust to the bright light as my breath catches. we were on the nook of the roof, which was completely lighted up with led lights. A small tent like structure was made in the corner with transparent white cloth, inside was a small bed and a lot of throw pillows. At one side there was a small cake and some kind of pink drink I dont know the name of. Smells sweet though.

Tears find their way to my eyes as I turn around to look at adhi. I completely breakdown as I see him on one knee, his hands hold the most gorgeous sapphire ring I've ever seen. His eyes welled up as well.

"Adhi..." I breath.

"Maya, you are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. When im with you, I act different, in a good way. I smile more and laugh more. With you, I can drop the fake smile and put on a real one. I dont feel hurt and alone when im with you. Instead I feel safe and loved. I know I've hurt you in the past, I know I've been selfish with you but there is no way I hell and heaven that I will do it again. Baby, I want to wake up with you beside in the morning, I wanna spend my evening looking at you across the dinner table. I want to share every simple detail of my day with you and hear every detail of yours. I want to laugh with you and fall asleep in your arms. I cant imagine a life where you aren't in it. So Maya Menon, Will you marry me?"

I break down in sobs as I sprint towards him and jump into his arms, burying my face in his neck as I whisper "Yes, Yes a hundred times Yes"

Adhi's arms tighten around me as sniffs. I cry in his arms and he in mine for a long time before we tackle each other with each other's lips. We pull back only for Adhi to slip that ring in my finger and for me to click a few pictures of us together. Because Duh! I dont want my kids to not see their parents proposal.

Adhi picks me up bridal style and leads me inside to the tent. He clicks a switch and the whole roof descends into darkness. Only the light from the courtyard illuminates the roof. It was gonna happen we both knew it and I was ready. For the first time in my life I was absolutely sure of something I want.

"Are you sure about this Maya? we can wait" Adhi says.

A small smile pulls at my lips as I say "Liar. We both know we cant wait"

"Hell yeah" Adhi laughs as warm lips took mine. His hands grew urgent as he caressed me. His shirt fell away along with my lehenga and my heavy jewellery. His hands ran through my hair freeing it off those pins and tangles. He grabbed my leg and hooked my leg around his hips. His lips fell from my lips to my cheek to neck to my breasts, sucking on them until he's driven me mad with lust .I wrapped my arms around the barrel of his chest and pressed my lips to his neck. Im ready. My hands went to his belt as I fumbled to open it.

He lowered me to the bed, and his body covered mine. He nuzzled against my jaw and ear, pressed soft kisses to my cheek, the corner of my mouth, my lips. "You have to talk to me, okay? If something hurts, if you dont like it, if you want something more, if its perfect. Say everything."

Eyes still shut, I said, "Ill . . . try"

He began to lower himself inside me. This is it, this is the moment a girl's life changes. My first time...

The very next minute Mine and Adhi's phone started blasting with phone calls and texts. Adhi groaned as he pulled away from me. A slow smile pulled on my lips at his misery, and mine. Lets face it I was horny as fuck.

Adhi pulls a blanket over my chest as he crawls out of the tent to get our phone. He attends his phone as he hands over mine. My phone has been bombarded with texts from Vivek, Tara, Varun, Dhriti, Mahima. 4 missed calls from Vivek. I called him back and before the first ring he answers.

"Maya, where the hell are you? Everything's gone to shit maya. Oh my god!" He began to blabber.

"Vivek what's going on?"

"Where are you now?"

"Im at the roof top with Adhi"

"Oh he is with you that son of a.."

"Vivek" I warned.

"Listen to me, No matter who calls you dont attend the phone. switch it off lock the door and stay inside only open it when we come and get you okay"

Okay now that's weird and scary "Buddy youre scaring me. what's going on?"

"Nothing. Just lock your door and dont check your phone" Vivek cuts the call.

I look over to adhi and his face is grim as ever. As If he heard what vivek said to me he quickly puts his pants back on and runs to the door to locks it.

"Adhi what's wrong?"

"Put your clothes back on baby" He fetches me my clothes and urges me to put them back on.

I just wrap the sheet around me as I pushes him away. I got up with my phone in my hand and went into my room through the window as I pulled on some regular clothes. I sit down on my bed as I open my phone and check through my texts.

The first text was from Vivek "Maya the projector broke halfway where are you? we have more photos to show."

The next was from the rest asking me where I am and to stay In my room at any cost.

Then I noticed the hundreds of Instagram notifications in my phone. I was tagged in some kind of post and now all the like and comment notification was now showing up in my notification bar. I click on one of those posts and I nearly fall off my bed.

Adhi rushes in fully clothed his face as white as paper "Maya dont!" He yells as he sees my phone.

It was that video. The video that nearly caused me to die. The video of me and adhi making out in college, The one Khushi took but now posted from an anonymous account. Me, adhi and our whole family was tagged in that post.
