《The Innocent Salvatore (Niklaus, Elijah and Kol)》Chapter 27

"Angel, Angel," a voice whispers causing Angel to stir from her slumber. With a groan, Angel opens one eye. Looking out in front of her before opening the other. The room is still dark, and all she can make out in the room is the faint silhouette of a man.
"Nik, Kol?" Angel questions sleepily, confused why someone was waking her up so early.
"I'm afraid not," the voice comments. As soon as the words are spoken Angel's eyes spring open, her previous tiredness being forgotten. She knew that voice.
"Elijah," Angel gasps. Jumping out of the bed and speeding to the light switch and switching it on. The sudden light made everything blurry for a moment before Angel's eyes settled. Specifically on the suit-clad man standing next to her bed.
"How, but," She splutters before she can say anything, lips cover her mouth, causing her words to stop. After only a couple seconds, Angel pushed him away. Anger covering her features as she recalls what happened.
"How are you alive? You know what, don't answer that right now. What were you thinking? Why would you sacrifice your life, kill yourself just to keep me alive? There could have been another way, we could have found another way." Angel yells, the noise-causing Nik and Kol to come into the room. Surprise covering their features, although before they can say anything Elijah waves his hand to signal them out of the room. Mouthing 'later' to them as a signal that he'd tell them everything later.
He needed a few minutes alone with her right now.
"Angel," he tries to interrupt her. Her words stopped him again, "Elijah. I thought you were dead," She finally stops. The anger in her face starting to fade into sadness. Elijah tries to speak now, but again Angel interrupts him. This time by leaping into his arms.
"I missed you," she whispers into his neck. Tears starting to grow in the corner of her eyes. "I missed you so much," She continues. Grabbing onto him tighter, and digging her face more into his neck.

Stroking her hair softly, Elijah lets her cry into his shoulder. After a few minutes of her crying, it starts to slow down until it's only soft hiccups. Only a couple of minutes later, Angel's asleep. Still in Elijah's arms.
Smiling softly, Elijah sets here down in the bed. Covering her in the soft white sheets, and placing a single kiss on her forehead before walking out of the room. Shutting off the light, and lightly shutting the door behind him.
Speeding down to the 'livingroom' of the house, Elijah pours himself a glass of whiskey before downing it in one gulp. Coming back from the dead was not an easy task, and all he wanted to do right now was sleep. But first, he had to tell his brother how exactly he was brought back from the dead. He knew they wouldn't let him sleep until they knew.
"Brother," Elijah hears Niklaus state as he hears 2 sets of footsteps descend the stairs. Although, before they can ask any question. Elijah takes out 2 more glasses and fills them with whiskey. Turning around with one in each hand as a silent gesture.
As soon as Klaus and Kol each take a glass, the formerly dead original turns to take a seat on the couch.
"So, Niklaus. Kol. What would you like to know?" The man questions, joining his hands together and placing them on his knees.
"How exactly are you alive, Lijah'? No offense and all, but we watched you stab a white oak stake into your heart." Kol asks, moving to sit in a dark red armchair across from Elijah. A confused smirk on his face.
Letting out a small chuckle, the suited original pauses for a moment. Thinking of how to answer the question when he didn't know an exact answer himself.
"All I really know is that Bonnie did some kind of spell before I died. Tying my life to someone else's, similar to what she did for Elena a while back. It worked differently of course, given how I am an original. Although the basic effect was the same, I was brought back to life," Elijah tells the other originals in the room. Trying to give as much information as he could, although it was hard given the limited amount of information he had.

"I know that spell, it requires someone else to give up their life for yours to put it simply. Whose life did she tie yours too?" Kol questions, placing the now empty glass on the table next to him.
"That's the thing, I don't exactly know," the man answers. Shaking his head in annoyance.
"I know who it was," a voice interrupts them. The new person causes everyone to turn to its source.
"You should be resting, Love," Niklaus tells the blonde who was now standing at the bottom of the stairs. Walking over to meet her there, and placing an arm around her waist. Ready to bring her back upstairs to the bedroom
"I'm not that tired anymore," Angel protests. Twisting out of Niklaus's arms and walking further into the living room, finally stopping to stand in between Kol's and Elijah's chairs.
"I know who's life Elijah's was linked to," Angel continues. Reaching into the pocket of her red sweatpants and pulling out a piece of lined notebook paper. "I found this under my pillow when I woke up, it's from Katherine," Angel adds.
"What did it say?" Kol questions, grabbing Angel's hand and pulling her into his lap. Hoping to lighten her mood a bit. Clearing her throat and trying to ignore the small blush on her face at the gesture, Angel opens the note and begins to read it out loud.
"To my Little Dove, I wish I could have said this to you in person. But time is running short. I hope you can understand I had to do this. As your mother, all I wanted to do in life was make you happy. I understand I wasn't the best mother in the world, and there was a lot I could have done better. But I want you to know, I love you. I cannot put into words how much I love you. I never really had much to care about in my life, until you were in it. Because of that fact, this choice was easy. I knew your life would be happiest with your mates in it. And with that fact, I had to go to Bonnie and find a way to keep them alive. All of them, no matter the cost. I am writing this note with only a minute left, and I'm hoping Bonnie keeps her word and gets this to you. I love you my Little Dove, and I hope you live a wonderful life. Tell my grandchild I love them. All of my love, Katherine." By the end of the note, Angel has small tears in the corners of her eyes. Although, she wipes them away with her sleeve determined not to cry.
"Darling," Kol starts from behind Angel. Although, he stops himself and settles for just running his hands through her hair. Before anyone can say anything else, a baby's cry interrupts them. The sound causing Angel to spring up from Kols lap and speed up the stairs. Her mates following after her only a few seconds later.
As soon as they enter the room, they're met with the sight of Angel rocking Hope slightly in her arms. The cries were now becoming only small gurgles, as she begins to fall back asleep.
"I love you," Angel whispers to seemingly no specific person. More like stating it was a fact. Those 3 words causing a smile to grow on all 3 men's faces, them now knowing somehow. Everything would turn out fine. As long as they had each other

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

Rise of the Desolate Star
“The soul is a sword. The body its sheath. Adversity is the hammer, while courage is the anvil. Oh, and son? Your tears and snot, they’re just the sparks that chip away at the impurities, like dungflies off a sow’s arse.” - Kendric Farrow Ever since he could remember, young Skyle Farrow’s body and mind have been hammered relentlessly like red-hot steel against the anvil of adversity under the watchful eyes of his father. All the while, Skyle’s heart and soul have been nurtured by the enduring warmth of his loving mother. Skyle has always asked why a simple farmboy would have need for all manner of skills like hand-to-hand combat, wilderness tracking, archery, beast taming, geography, history, politics, and even embroidery! The one vital question remains unasked, however: just what are his parents preparing him for? The invasion of a demonic horde? The advent of an age of war and endless bloodshed? The dark legacy of an ancient mystical power? A desperate struggle to save the lives of those he holds dear? The end of the world? It is a good thing he never asked these questions, for the answer would have been yes - to all of them. Now Skyle must take his first steps beyond the sheltered world he has known. He has been raised strong, but is he strong enough? Welcome to a tale of friendship, love, loss and heartbreak. It chronicles the growth of a young boy into a legend whose path will shatter the very foundations of the world. Expect a rich, detailed world with vivid characters. Each will pursue their own complex agendas due to realistic motivations. The MC will be overpowered, not through liberal use of plot armor but rather the deliberate application of arduous training, clever thinking, and nurtured talent. Battles will be graphic, victories will be bittersweet, and defeat will not mean the end of the world - for time waits for no one and life goes on whether we like it or not. The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
