Days had past and Stephen was still in Georgia getting everything for their summer home set up and right for the twins. Raven had become fond of her helper David, anything she needed he got without a complaint. Made sure she had her prenatal pills, ate healthy, and even got her back working out and swimming.

He was a six foot one dark skin with a nice body. He had recently came back from Japan and was taking some time off from the military life. Raven had discovered that he worked along side Stephen and ran the gym they had Virginia. David had majored in Sports medicine at the same college she and Stephen were attending but graduated a few years ahead of Steph. She couldn't help but admire his taste in music and how amazing his food was. She had even took a peek at his print one day during their workout and couldn't believe the size.

She was curious and now wondered how he had no kids at his age with the size she peeped.

"So you really have no kids ?"

"Nope. I move around a lot. I don't think you understand how used you get to people leaving you because you're gone all the time."

Raven sat and thought about what David had just said to her. She missed Stephen but not enough to text and call him all day. Just enough to send him pictures of her belly and videos of the twins moving around from time to time. But her main focus had been on David he was mysterious and interesting. He had made her favorite food every night since he'd been there and his foot rubs were the best.

"How are you doing with E being gone ?"

"To think about it. It doesn't really bother me you are all the company I need."

He smiles a little and laughs the goofy laugh that she's became fond of.

"What are you hiding?" She ask while stuffing French fries in her mouth.

"What are you talking about Ray?"

She didn't know what made her ask the question but after staring at him for a while she began getting irritated with how mysterious he was.

"I don't know you seem really secretive to me. And I want to know what you're hiding."

"I'm not hiding anything. But if you don't believe me ask away."

She sits there for a while thinking of all the possible things he could be hiding. Him not having kids is something she didn't really believe. There was just no way. There was also no way he hadn't been married before or had a girlfriend. David was just too fine and too well rounded.

"So you really don't have kids?"

"Never stayed with anyone long enough to have them. Is that the only question that's bothering you."

"No. You really don't have a girlfriend right now? Why?"

"I don't have one and I'm not really focused on one because I'll be shipping out again in a couple of months. And you're keeping me company right now I don't think a woman would really understand that I sit around and babysit you and the twins all day."

She rolls her eyes at him making him laugh.

"I'm just kidding about the babysitting part. But you're all the company I need right now. You're easy to talk to and laugh at my corny jokes and horrible singing."

"Horrible is an understatement."

They both laugh.

David puts on Hotel Transylvania 3 and hands the bowl of sour patch kids and popcorn to Raven. She snuggles up next to him tossing her feet across his lap for him to rub. A routine the two had now become accustomed to over the last couple of days.

Raven liked being like this, it was something her and Stephan hadn't done since the beginning of December. Their relationship just wasn't the same.

David had began massaging and rubbing her somewhat swollen legs to help continue the blood flow and lower the swelling. The attention he was giving had began to make her body heat up at his touch.

Little did she know David wanted to be more than friends with her and the next 4 months that they would be spending together would do nothing but help his case.

"This is nice." He states while watching Raven struggle to keep her tired eyes open.

The twins had been moving all day making it hard for her to catch some rest. But the foot rub David had been giving her was the best and well needed.

"Come on, I'll help you get to your bed."

Walking up the stairs Raven stumbled from time to time from tiredness leaving all her weight to be lifted by David. Finally reaching her bed he helps her in then makes sure she's comfortable pulling the cover up to her chin and turning the fan on to help her sleep.

"David ?"

He opens the door back and peeks in.

"Can you stay.. you know.. just Incase the twins wake up. You always know how to calm them."

He smiles and makes his way to the bed, sitting on the edge he fumbles around to find the remote. While he finds something for the two of them to watch she gets a FaceTime call from Stephen.

"Hey baby how's everything going?"

"Good, David can hear me right?"

She's a little shocked at first but the feeling settled once she remembers what kind of man she has for a husband. She should have known that he would have had cameras installed in the house but in the bedroom that was beyond her.

"Yes, and the cameras in the room and bathroom go or there's going to be a problem when you come home. I know you have plenty of footage of me that I definitely didn't allow you to record."

"Yeah ight, but David let me holla at you real quick bro."

He seems unbothered by what Stephen has to say. Still focusing on the tv and it's Netflix suggestions.

"Wussup."

"Don't get too comfortable nigga, we are not in high school anymore. I will fuck you up over my wife."

"Nobody sweating her but you nigga. I'm just doing what she ask and making sure she straight."

Raven stares at her phone and Stephen stares back at her. Upset. Angry. Furious. Confused. Any feeling he could possibly feel right now he was getting it. His wife was more comfortable with a guy she had just met two weeks ago touching her than she was with him.

He would sit around had watch the live feeds from the house from time to time and David would be cooking for her while they laughed and told corny jokes. He would be rubbing her feet or stomach or massaging her legs. Or they would be outside swimming and playing around. Anything that made Raven smile David did for her.

Stephen hang up without even saying goodbye or that he loved her, which wasn't something he usually did. After a while she could hear the camera shutting down and took the precautions of getting David to cover them with black tape just in case Stephen didn't hold up his end.

She wasn't hiding anything from him or up to anything. She just didn't want to end up on a porn site without her knowledge. The pain of a multimillion dollar lawsuit, that she knew for a fact she would win, gave her a headache just thinking about it.

"Is a scary movie fine with you?" He ask once coming back into the room and flipping through more selections on Netflix

"You read my mind."

After a little encouraging, more like pleading, David made his way beside her in bed. Rubbing her belly while she lay comfortably in the fold of his arm and chest.

He liked this and the thought of having a family of his own began to make his mind wonder. Raven was beautiful and after hearing how Stephen would talk to her. He believed she deserved better. A real man. Someone to make her laugh and smile and take all her worries away. Someone that made her feel like a princess. And that's just what he was doing. Stephen was missing out and the more he fucked up the more David felt him opening that window.

He wouldn't mind playing stepfather regardless of how much younger Raven was. He would be with her for a little less than the other half of her pregnancy while her husband was out buying houses and flipping them. And most likely cheating, the way Raven spoke of him. But he would be here with her and the twins day and night making sure the three of them were healthy and good.

He looked down to see Raven finally drifting off to sleep. He didn't want to move her so he laid back a little farther making sure she was comfortable.

"Don't leave once I fall asleep. They'll just wake me up again."

He laughs and continues to rub her huge stomach keeping his eyes focused on the movie.

"Sweet dreams Ray."
