《Obsession》2.

We walk into his apartment and slide past a room door quietly. I giggle a little and the door starts to open making Stephen rush me into his room.
"I told you to keep quiet."
We both laugh again and I grab my head in agony. He hands me two blue pills from his dresser and tosses me a bottle water from the mini fridge.
I toss the pills in my mouth and chug the water before tossing it in the trash can and stepping out of my shorts. At this point nothing but me sleeping comfortably matters. I toss the clothing in his hamper as he tosses me a shirt.
"I'll be on the couch if you need me."
I climb into the bed and waive him off.
"Stephen?"
"Yeah?"
"You don't have to leave if you don't want to. Just don't put your feet on me. "
I can sense his smile as the bed dips and he pulls the cover over him making sure to leave me enough. I cuddle closer to him since I'm not used to sleeping with someone other than Benny, my stuffed teddy bear.
"Thought you said no touching."
"Yeah, you no touching. Good night"
He kisses my forehead and I listen to his breathing slow as he drifts asleep leaving me awake with my thoughts.
I went from never wanting to hook up with a guy, to spending the night with someone I don't even know. I wonder how far he'll try to take this, or what kind of story he'll make up about the situation. As my thoughts run wild my body drifts off into a peaceful slumber.
I'm woken at what feels like moments later by my alarm clock. Stephen comes out of the bathroom with a mouth full of toothpaste and a towel over his shoulder.
"I was going to wake you but I thought you needed time off after last night. You can stay here if you want. I only have an 8 o'clock on Friday's. We can hang or go out if you're up for that?"
"I only have an 8 too but I don't know, I still don't know much about you to be staying here until you get back."
"I understand I can drop you off, and pick you up later if that's ok? Maybe we can get to know each other a little better. I never knew sleeping next to someone could be that nice."
I nod and and agree to him taking me back to my dorm. I think I'm going to stay in and get some sleep for a while and take him up on his offer later.
The drive back is short and he doesn't talk much except for reminding me that I left my clothes and to exchange numbers.
Ignoring the stares from the various early morning college students I walk into my building and walk sluggishly up all four flights of stairs to get to my room. I walk in to my roommate getting ready.

"Well look what the cat drug in, you know everyone's been talking about you, are you ok?"
"I'm fine Grace, I just want some sleep at this point."
She gives me a hug and continues to pack her laptop and things before grabbing her keys and heading to class. I on the other hand undress and head to shower, before taking a nap and attempting to get ready for whatever Stephen thinks he has planned for later. Pulling a yellow off the shoulder top and black leggings out of my drawers, I place them neatly on my desk beside my makeup kit. After adding all my accessories I finally snuggle into bed in an attempt to fall back asleep.
Hopeless. Every pending ounce of sleep now gone. Vanished. How annoying.
As if knowingly Stephen texts me telling me that his class is canceled and he would like to go to breakfast if i don't mind. I agree and rush to get dressed, apply my eyeliner perfectly, and find my fluffy slides before heading down to him.
"You clean up nice."
"I'm not usually the drunk girl you met last night."
"I mean she was cool too."
They both laugh as Raven reclines the chair back and goes into deep thought. She never expected to see Stephen again, but secretly she hoped she would. He was beautiful, nice, charming, but she could sense danger when it came to him. She pictured him as this sophisticated gang member or drug dealer that loved everyone except for the girl he had on his arm. Voices played in her head encouraging her that whatever wild antics he came with she should be apart of. While her gut told her that he would be no god for her. But what was really bothering her was the fact that there was something different about him, the way he portrayed himself during and after the party, how quickly he was to try and make friends with her. Something just didn't sit well but she wouldn't continue to let her thoughts bother her.
As they approach the restaurant Ravens' mouth starts to water with anticipation, she hadn't been to this place in so long and was anxious to get her hands on one of their blueberry pancakes. Oui! was one of her favorite places when she had first started visiting Georgia and to be back there made her think of how much she missed the place.
"So I'm taking it as you've been here before?"
She nods her head and practically rips the seat belt from the buckle trying to get out.
"Slow down we're going to eat."
"I'm sorry I'm just really hungry and this place has like, the best pancakes in the world."
As soon as they walk in they're seated almost immediately, the young girl taking their order takes short but noticeable glances at Raven from time to time while waiting for them to order.

"I don't mean to stare, but you're pretty and I love your hair."
She gives the girl a warm smile before complimenting her back making a wide grin appear on her face before leaving to place their orders in.
"So I'm guessing you get that a lot?"
"I wouldn't say a lot. That's kind of an exaggeration, but people that take time to stare at me do tend to compliment me a lot, especially about my hair and skin."
"I think I can name a couple of other things to compliment you on."
She frowns thinking that his compliments are going to be about her body. But she wouldn't expect that. Not from him at least, she's chunky but her breast and boobs make up for it she doesn't have the hour glass curves but her hips poke out just a little farther than her stomach on the sides. She has a fupa that she covers with her tights and tucks in her jeans. But Stephen looks at her like she's the most beautiful person in the planet and she doesn't understand.
"Ok well name them?" I say while taking my straw into my mouth and sipping my apple juice.
"Well to start with your lips are probably my favorite feature on you, but your eyes are just as gorgeous they bring more attention to you than anything else, they're so big and brown. Your face is just something that anyone would want to stare at and I wouldn't blame them it's captivating. But I can tell it annoys you bc you keep shaking your bang in your face." He states matter-of-factly
"What else can you tell?"
"You like your hair behind your ear but you don't like the way it pokes of from your glasses that's why you tuck some behind, pull some forward, then press down on it. You have a addiction with your lips and thighs because your always picking with one or the other. Even on the way here you licked your lips and would suck on the top one repeatedly, and you played with your thighs the whole time unless you liked a song."
I roll my eyes because even though he's right who told him he could profile me like that?
"What can you tell about me?"
I stare at him a little longer before speaking.
"Based off of looks, you're a player. You rather keep your guys happy than the girl you're with, in your eyes your "brothers" stayed down since hmmmm I'll say middle school, and every girl you've been with left when times got rough, you have a scare that's almost unnoticeable on the left side of your jaw which means you're either hard headed or dangerous but someone older than you did the damage. You keep yourself clean but not too flashy or too high maintenance, you wanna look like you have money but don't want people to know how much. But by the look of your dresser and the car you drive you make more than enough or have more than enough money to out dress any niggas you hang with. Last but not least you believe in love, and you're genuinely a good person but you rather make your mom happy than for you yourself to be happy."
He stares at me in awe but replaces the look with a sly smirk.
"Correct me if I'm wrong."
"You got all that from one night an a little conversation."
Raven stares at him eyebrow raised with a playful smile dressing her face. She had been around more than enough guys to know Stephens type. She could tell by the way he smelled and the way he kept his room that he was expensive. He tossed clothes to her that most niggas would cherish and keep in their dresser. What he didn't know was that she could read people better than he thought. And that whatever games he had up his sleeve would backfire if he planned on hurting her.
"No, I got all that from growing up in the hood and being raised around guys."
He nods and their food finally comes out. She waste no time drowning her pancake in syrup and cutting it in a million pieces. As he does the same.
They continue to chat and eat, eventually leaving the small place and heading out to who knows where. After moments of silence Ravens phone rings and the picture of her best friend pops up.
"Yes bitch, what you want?"
"Why the fuck you not on campus? It's my weekend remember tell grace to come down and let me in."
"I'm out right now, I just texted her she's on her way down now. Don't touch my food."
"Bitch you left me here alone I'll eat whatever I wanna eat."
"Victoria don't play, I'll be back shortly."
"Yeah yeah, suck his dick bitch bye."
"Girl fuck you, bye"
Stephen stares at me in awe like he's never heard a girl swear a day in his life.
"What?"
"Such Bad language"
We both laugh as we pull up to Lenox. I despise this mall greatly but I guess I'll go.
"I just came to pick up my watch, then we can head back to campus. You look bored with me already."
"I would rather be in the room watching a movie or a binge watching."
"We can do that tonight, think you can get rid of your bestieeee boooo"
"Your disgusting and yes."

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
