Jieun's POV
"Park Jieun"
I suddenly woke up when I heard my name but no one is in my room. Who the hell is trying to pull a prank on me?!
The door suddenly opened and it showed Jisung who's currently wearing a white shirt and a short, while his hair is still messy.
Jisung is glaring at me
he shouted and crossed his arms
Jisung
Jisung raised his eye brow
Jisung
I threw my pillow to him
Jisung
I quickly pushed him out of my room and locked the door
I took a quick bath and did my morning routine. I wore my school uniform and started brushing my hair. I carried my bag, phone and wallet and went to Jisung's room.
I opened the door and saw him smiling at his phone
Jisung rolled his eyes
Jisung
Jisung answered and gave me brown envelope
I opened the envelope and saw money. I gave it back to him
Jisung
The door opened and saw our maid smiling at me. She's sometimes creepy and sometimes not. I wonder what happened, what's with her smile this time?
she smiled
Jisung answered
our maid smirked and started blushing
She may be old but she's still blushing when hot or handsome guys go here. Also, she's like a Mom to me. She and I were always talking about Kun, I am so comfortable with her than my real Mom.
Jisung
she said that made me drop my wallet
she asked and gave my wallet to me
she smiled and started poking my waist to tease me
Jisung asked
Our maid nodded and Jisung rushed down. I quickly went downstairs and saw Jaehyun talking to my parents with a smile on his face. Damn. I am just planning last night to ran away but he is already talking to my parents.

He smiled as soon as he met my gaze
I gulped down. My parents looked at me and faked a smile at me. I just looked away and walked to them.
Dad asked
I nodded
Mom smiled at me while caressing my arm like a real caring Mother
She's so fake but she's still my Mom.
Jisung asked, I forgot he is standing beside me
Mom glared at him
Dad
Yes, I already know. You don't have to tell me, old man. You two are so disappointing, you kept pushing me to leave this house. If only I can live on my own, I will.
Mom said
I nodded
Mom hugged me and whispered
I just left the house without looking at my brother, and my parents. I saw a black and white Bugatti Veyron Mansory Vivere. MY DREAM CAR...
he said and opened the door
ourshe nodded and smiled
he smiled again
We both got in the car an he started driving it. Why does he need to pick me up when it's just 10 minutes walk from my house to Stonehill? After a couple of minutes we finally arrived at the school. He parked the car inside, there's a parking lot there. All eyes on the car. Damn. I hate this feeling.
He nodded
he winked and smiled showing his dimple
I got out of the car and saw a lot of people staring at me I whispered
Yoonah called and smiled while looking at my back
Jaehyun said behind me leaving everyone in shock
Damn it, Jaehyun.

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
