A month had passed since Knox and Sophia had their beautiful daughter and things had been going smoothly other than the fact that rogue sighting had increased a lot, 

this would happen every few years, rogues would reproduce amongst themselves a lot and they'd try getting into pack territory.

the warriors would chase them off the territory but they wouldn't stop coming back, they wouldn't attack but they'd move around. 

Dante had been in contact with neighboring pack alphas to know that they were dealing with a similar situation, and dealing with all of that as well as trying to find an effective solution to the problem was had Dante busy for weeks straight, 

Knox would help now and then but he was mostly at home with the baby and Sophia which doubled work on Dante and Gabriel.

it was after dinner that Dante and Venus finally got an hour to themselves, a soft kiss from Venus soon turned passionate and ended up with them making love right next to the fireplace in the living room,

'i missed you,' Venus whispered against Dantes's lips, laying bare in his arms, her head on his chest and their naked bodies tangled, they were covered by a soft blanket that Dante pulled over them.

he kissed her soft lips soundly and ran his fingertips up and down her arm watching as goosebumps rose from his touch, 

he smiled at the effect he had on her body, and his Lycan growled his approval over how the soft contours of her body molded perfectly into his hard ones.

'i missed you too love,' 

'i don't wanna talk pack business but is the situation with the rogues under control yet or ...' she trailed off, 

'i really don't know what they're up to but I can't risk anything, we had some pack houses built towards the borders, 

some people wanted their privacy and had been requesting to have something built for them towards that side, and there's pack members there so it's hard because I have to ensure their safety as well since its risker because they're closer to the borders, 

not all rogues are bad but obviously, we can't tell what type they are, patrols have been doubled and I've put the warriors on high alert,

 after this if we find them we have no choice but to capture and try ending the problem,' Dante said, breathing out deeply, his green and blue looking darker in the firelight.

he had one hand under his head and one wrapped around Venus, his chest looking bronze under the firelight, 

Venus leaned over him and put her chin on his chest, admiring him, he was looking at the ambers of the fire, his blue eye looking less icy, more like the dark calm ocean during a full moon night, while the green that mostly looked bright now looked juniper. 

his bare defined chest rose gently from every breath he took. As her eyes trailed over his sharp features, how his mostly clean shaven jaw had a 5 o'clock shadow now, 

and it made him more attractive, his dark inky hair messy from the many times Venus was tugging at them during their love making, his firm pink lips enticing her to kiss them. 

Letting her eyes wander to his arms that were thick with muscles, they screamed the sheer power and strength that they held.

almost high from admiring the man in front of her that was all hers, she leaned down and gently placed a soft kiss on his chest and looked up to dark eyes regarding her silently, 

reaching up she pulled his head down to hers and kissed him with all the passion and love she had for him, and he kissed her back hungrily, rolling her onto her back he took her to places she loved reaching with him in her.

The next morning Venus woke up in their room, her body pleasurable sore from their lovemaking, 

a gentle ache reminding her of the night before making her alabaster skin flush with color, when she reached over to his side of the bed instead of her hand meeting warm skin she encountered cool sheets, he had left for work she realized a little sadly.

rolling out of bed she went and showered, wearing a pair of light-washed boyfriend jeans and a white tee with a pair of airforce. 

making herself some breakfast she ate it alone in the big kitchen while she watched some videos on her phone, 

Dante had left her a note on their nightstand saying he would be back late in the evening, that there was an emergency he was sorry but he would make it up to her.

she wasn't complaining, she was sad, yes but she couldn't complain, he was an alpha and many lives depended on him, 

he couldn't just be with her all the time, this was his duty just as it was hers, to do her part as luna to be there for her mate, to rule beside him and be his number one supporter. 

she had left a text saying I love you to him but he hadn't seen it yet.

she was on her last bite of toast and eggs when her stomach turned and made her feel sick in such a way that she dropped her phone on the table right there and ran to the washroom to hurl up all the contents of her breakfast, 

her eyes watered from how much she threw up, as she went up to her room and brushed her teeth, freshening up once again, she did throw up but nausea lingered.

Brushing it off she went to attend to all her luna duties, then later went to Sophias house and spent some time with Grace, it was around 3 pm when she got a text back from Dante

i love you more, it read and Venus felt her cheeks heat up, 

she felt like a school girl texting her crush, except that this was a 6'3 man that was an alpha and she was a grown-ass woman.

after they all had lunch James and Venus decided to hang out, it was on their way home that Venus started feeling a bit sick again but she brushed it off, 

'then I started putting the flour in and you wouldn't believeeeee wh-'

'shut up James,' Venus wheezed out, getting breathless

'excuse tf me bitch, I swear what is with u and Gabriel cutting me off every time I'm talking,'

'maybe it because you talk too much,' Venus said mindlessly, feeling like the oxygen getting to her head was getting less and less

'someone hold my drink I'm about to beat this girl up,'

'James shut up god, I can't breathe,' Venus said, bracing her hands on her knees

'girl you won't be after I'm done with you,' 

'James I'm gonna faint,' Venus said breathlessly, 

'you're about to catch these handssss AHHHHHHH BITCH WHAT THE FUCK,' James screamed when Venus did exactly what she said, she fainted right in his arms.
