'ARE YOU KIDDING ME KNOX,' Sophia screeched

All those wondering what happened, Sophia and Knox invited everyone over for dinner, Venus, Dante, James, Gabriel, and a few other friends of Knox and Sophia,

long story short, right after dinner Venus and Sophia were messing around in the kitchen while getting desert, and Venus may or may not have jump scared Sophia which caused her water to break...

it was complete havoc, to say the least.

Sophia was actually a week overdue, so she wasn't surprised when her water broke, the heavily pregnant blonde was as calm as the sea but the same couldn't be said for her big mate who was knocking over chairs and decoration pieces in a rush to get the baby bag and zip Sophia to the hospital,

frustrated at how her mate was sweating, INSISTING he carried her and actually swooping her up into his arms without waiting for her reply, acting like she was dying, Sophia had enough.

'Knox,' Sophia seethed, trying to grab a hold of him,

the big man paid no heed to her, his grey eyes wide with alarm as he unlocked the car and gently put her in the backseat,

'KNOX,' Sophia screamed, the poor poor man almost fainted thinking something had happened to his mate or the baby,

'THE HOSPITAL IS TWO BLOCKS OVER WE CAN WALK WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?'

'what?? why would I let you walk Sophia your water just broke,' Knox growled out

'don't growl at me sir just because I'm about to pop out our pup doesn't mean I can't reach over and smack the shit out of you,' Sophia threatened

Knox looked so scared, lost, and confused that Sophia felt bad, he had been so so patient with her throughout the entire pregnancy,

he had been so supportive and loving, he was going to be a great father, and like any parent, he was worried about his child.

Sophia held his large hand and gently tugged him towards the backseat where she was sitting, he crouched down in front of her beside the car as she swung two legs out of the car and he sat between them,

big tears gathered in her eyes and started heedlessly tipping down her beautiful face, she gently cupped Knox's face in her trembling hands and leaned forward, softly kissing him, as teasing sparks lit up where ever they touched.

Knox kissed her back, with all the passion, yearning, and love in his heart, he kissed her back like nothing was enough to make him have enough of her,

after a moment when they pulled back the sight in front of him made him fall in love all over again, her lips swollen and pink from his kisses, her blue eyes bright with love, and her skin glowing from her pregnancy,

her blond locks tumbling over her shoulder like a golden fade waterfall, her hands cradling her belly as she sat in front of him in all her glory,

he was blessed.

the guests of the night let the couple have their moment, as Dante then called out to Knox telling him it was better if they go to the hospital now,

helping her slip her shoes on, Knox with Sophia hand in hand walked two blocks down to the hospital, holding her soft hand in one and the baby bag in the other,

while the others promised to meet them in the hospital, wanting to give them their moment, as a heavily pregnant she-wolf, who didn't even look like she was going into labor, walking beside her mate, happily chatting with him and laughing at something he said.

At the hospital, Sophia wasn't as calm anymore, Knox was the calm one now, telling Sophia to focus on her breathing and telling her to push when a contraction would hit,

Venus and James were with her while their mates promised to meet them later as there was some business to deal with,

they sat outside the labor room, hearing Sophia's screams and cries after every little while, poor Knox, his hand must have been broken with how hard Sophia was holding it.

7 hours later, Grace Lillian Knox came into the world, she was a healthy baby, with dark hair like her fathers, and what was discovered after some time was that her eyes were ocean blue like her mothers, but there were flecks of grey in them like that of her fathers, she was beautiful.

When Knox held her for the first time Grace looked so small cuddled up into his big tan arms, Sophia cried when she saw her baby girl for the first time.

everyone congratulated them, telling them how much of an angel Grace was, until she was hungry, she was downright a little monster then.

Dante joined them later, and in the midst of everything he caught a glimpse of his mate, the forlorn look in her eyes when she looked at Grace made his heart clench,

he didn't know how to make it better, it had been months since the incident and she had got better over time but she got sensitive when she'd remember what she couldn't have,

walking to her side he pulled her to himself by the waist, placing a kiss on her head and she silently hugged him back, she needed him. But there was something brewing, something no one sensed or saw coming, but what was it?
