"In a way," Venus mumbled, recalling how gently but firmly Dante had kissed her, opening her mouth with his to slowly thrust his sinful tongue into her mouth and slide it against hers, then nibbling and sucking on her lower lip, it was as if a starved man was allowed food after a wait that lasted for eternity.

The truth was, Venus was shying away from him.

And since their mates were out for a pack meeting they decided to be productive and bake some brownies and cookies. As they blasted Post Malone in the kitchen and tried to get Venus to loosen up, they also hoped to get her to remember, because Post Malone was her favorite artist.

"YOU PROBABLY THINK THAT YOU ARE BETTER NOW, BETTER NOW!" Sophia and James sang on top of their lungs as they mixed the batter and Venus swayed her hips to the beat.

Sophia and James stopped short, froze, and looked at each other with jaws dropped and eyes wide.

Without knowing Venus silently sang the song till the end and then whipped up the batter into the dish.

"VENUS?!" James and Sophia exclaimed as they tackled their confused luna into a hug.

"OMG OMG YOU REMEMBERED THE SONG YOU REMEMBERED THE SONG ITS POST I MEAN NSKSKSK!" They both kept on squealing and jumping and prancing about the kitchen in utter excitement is when she realized that she had sung a song she didn't know, she remembered something she once knew.

A bright smile graced her lips as they all laughed loudly and embraced each other, it was the moment of true bliss and real friendship between the three that made it all so much better,

it was the fact that they were family and they genuinely felt excited upon the success of another, Venus, despite that only a small bit of her memory waltzed across her mind, she felt complete knowing she had a family who cared dearly for her.

As they then sat on the kitchen counter and waited for the cookies and brownies to bake, gossiping and talking about nothing and everything.

Late in the afternoon, their mates returned to find them sprawled across the sofas in the living room, with their hands over their mouth and stomachs and their faces pale, empty dishes on the table in front of them and Lucifer playing on the TV.

"What on earth-" Knox started but got cut off when James let out a loud groan, rolling over and then falling on the ground with a thump.

"This is all- herrrrr fault," James slurred, as he sluggishly pointed at Venus.

Offended and with the little strength left in her Venus sat up groggily and scowled,

"Me?! Nah uh, Sophia was the one who said let's have an eating competition of who can finish off the most cookies and brownies an-" Venus stopped short as she pressed her fist to her closed mouth and her cheeks rounded, she was going to throw up.

The alpha with his gamma and beta stood shell shocked, their mates really excessively had too much sweet food and now they were sick.

"I swear I'm gonna kill, you both," Sophia threatened, fixing her disarrayed hair.

James and Venus scowled at her and said nothing.

Gabriel gave James a pointed look to which he rolled his eyes, picked up his stuff and tucked his hand into his mates and they walked out of the mansion.

Knox then mumbled something under his breath as he picked his mate up like a sack of potatoes and slung her over his shoulder, walking away with a low on energy Sophia dangling from his shoulder.

While Dante went up to Venus, gently picked her up bridal style, and headed up to her room, he put her on the bed and went back down to get her some medicine to help with her stomach ache,

she shook her head and scrunched her nose at the foul smell, but Dante wasn't having any of it as he pressed her to his chest and held her in place gently but firmly,1 and fed her the medicine like a baby.

Dante then sat on the bed while Venus was lying down, eyes droopy and body sprawled.

Suddenly she let out a giggle.

Dante turned around to look at her, confused as to what she found funny.

"What's got you laughing baby?" He asked.

She let out another adorable giggle, and she looked a bit drunk too.

"Remember when I first stumbled into your pack, your patrol guys were so dumb I even kicked one in the nuts!" Venus exclaimed, laughing profusely as she held her stomach and rolled to the side.

Dante froze.

"Oh Dante, it was so funny the look on his face-" she cut off again because she couldn't stop laughing.

Dante felt like he was in a haze, she remembered?

Her memory was back?

'Venus, Venus look at me, how do you remember that,' Dante asked firmly, grasping her by the waist and pulling her to him, as she sluggishly sat by his side still giggling.

"I do, why don't you?" She asked, as she once again dissolved into gales of mirth, grabbing Dantes's arm and shaking it back and forth because of how hard she was laughing.

"Venus answer me," Dante growled lowly, annoyed.

"Oooo your eyes get shiny, hey do you know I love both your eye colors, like the green is so beautiful and the blue is just stunning, is-is possible you give me some color from your eyes because mine is just a plain brown," venus whined, and then pouted up at him, her eyes dilated.

Fuck, Dante thought.

She was on a sugar rush.

"Venus listen to me y-" Dante got cut off when venus yawned and lay her head on the pillow behind her, the second her head hit the pillow she was out like a light.

Dante stood, mouth gaping.

What just happened?

Did she get her memories back?

What was going on? Were all the alphas thoughts as he pulled the covers over his adorable little mate, leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her rosy pink lips, and left the room to find out what he had just seen.
