"Hurry up you asshole! I need to shower as well you know!" I was banging on the bathroom door. Why? Because Clay, the ass, has been in the bathroom for 30 minutes! What the fuck is he doing in there to take 30 minutes?
"I'll be out now, calm down." He mumbled, I heard a bit of shuffling before he unlocked the door and stepped out. "Finally." I mumbled pushing past him and locking the door behind me. "Yeah your welcome you ass!" He yelled, I just rolled my eyes and turned on the shower.
While it was heating up I looked in the mirror. He's going to hate you, they're gonna tell Phil and get you shipped to a different school, he's going to judge you. I groaned. I hate my thoughts, always thinking of the worst thing to happen. I rubbed a hand down my face before stripping and stepping into the now hot shower.
The hot water hitting my skin instantly soothes me, relieving me of all worries and doubts. I've always loved showers, it's time to myself where nothing can get to me unless it's a 50 year old perv. But not the point. The water hitting my bare skin washes away all my problems, my insecurities, making me feel safe. None of my stupid thoughts try to get to me while I'm in here.
I grab my shampoo, yes I did bring my own shampoo. I don't want to smell like Dream. I rub it into my hair, massaging my scalp. The smell of my apple shampoo mixed with the steam of the shower calming me even more. I almost forgot about my parents, about him, about school. Shit! School starts soon. Oh well, never hurts to be late. I rinsed out the shampoo watching as it flowed out of my hair and into the drain.

I washed my body before stepping out of the shower. Although I'd love to stay in there forever, I don't really feel like having my hands be all wrinkly from the shower. I got dressed into my simple black pants, blue sweater, or jumper. Fucking Americans again. With a white collar on top. Yeah, there's supposed to be a uniform but right now I don't feel like wearing it and I doubt anyone actually wears it.
I left the bathroom, grabbing my bag from my bed and head out the door, I'm assuming Dream's already left or he's just disappeared. I'm hoping the second but you know, this is the real life, you don't always get what you want. I calmly walked through building, heading towards the stairs while loads of boys ran past me laughing. How can people have so much energy in the morning?
As I left the building the cold air hitting my face felt like the best thing on earth. I walked towards the school hearing loads of chatter and laughs, I just blocked it all out. As I got closer to the school I could see a group of people surrounding something, or someone? There were girls giggling, probably trying to flirt with whoever it was. They don't even go here, why are they here? This is a boys school. There were a handful of boys, most looked to be the ones surrounded but there were a few in the group of girls.
The talking and laughing stopped when the school bell went off, I just smirked while everyone burst out laughing. I heard a few people while I walked past, one of them saying, "I heard there's a new boy! Apparently he's worse than Dream!" I smirked and continued walking, I heard someone running towards me but I just carried on walking. "Holy shit! That ways amazing!" Karl and Nick both laughed now walking besides me. I just smiled, half forced half not. "I know."

We walked to class together, unfortunately I wasn't late to class but I did get to pick my seat. Obviously I sat at the back, I'm not some nerd. Here I can hide from the teacher, talk, throw things at people, draw, listen to music, and just do what I want to. Me and Karl were talking about random stuff while Sapnap played on his phone, "Really? I think adventure time is so much better than any show ever!" Yeah, Karl was explaining to me why he thought that adventure time is the best show. "Mhm, but then sponge-bob exists! Your saying adventure time is better than sponge-Bob?" He nodded.
"Yup, it's amazing! There's no way spon-" Karl was cut off by someone slamming their hand on the desk. "fuck off. This is our table." Great, Dream. This obviously got Sapnap's attention but since he's friends with dream he just went back on his phone. "I don't see your name on it?" I reply, searching the table for his name. Obviously I didn't find it. "But we always sit here, so move." "We? Last time I checked your alone." By now the whole class was watching us, a few giggling and a few doing work. Nerds.
Dream smirked and turned around, "Techno!" Oh no. I froze. Shit, what do I do? Um. "Calling for backup i see." I cross my arms, watching the door nervously. It seems like I'm watching it for hours when I'm reality it's just a few seconds until the asshole with pink hair walks through the door.
"Oh, so you have princess bumble gum as backup? Karl I thought you said Adventure time was a cartoon?" I chuckled, Karl laughed as well. "Haha very funny." Dream's voice was laced in sarcasm but yet again. I love a reaction, even a shitty one.
"G-George?"

Nowhere Stars
For as long as anyone can remember, humans have been preyed upon by Harbingers, living nightmares which devour dreams and passions and souls, and defended by Keepers. These children alone hold the gift of magic, the wild and wondrous ability to impose emotions over reality and empower their frail bodies with the splendor of their souls. Under their protection, humanity was able to survive and thrive. While modern Keepers have come to enjoy a social position somewhere between celebrities and religious idols, very few accept the mantle simply to be a hero. The Messengers of the Goddess Claiasya, spirits charged with awakening the magic in suitable souls, promise that Keepers who consume and purify enough Harbingers will obtain the power to change themselves or the world in nearly any way they wish. It’s for this purpose that Liadain Shiel, a young girl born terminally ill, throws herself into life as a Keeper when her opportunity comes, hoping against hope to rewrite her fate and save her life while she still can. But magic wants its wielders to grow and change, not simply continue living, and the secrets swimming beneath the sea and behind the sky have lives and designs of their own. Nowhere Stars is an ongoing fantasy-horror web novel about traumacore magical girls, nightmares clothed in ribbons and lace, alienation from reality, and broken children twisting the world into whatever shape they must to make their dreams come true. This is a mirror of Nowhere Stars' home site, located here. Updates will be posted at the same time, currently once a week on Wednesdays. Support Nowhere Stars on Top Web Fiction here!

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
