《L O S E R》-Chapter 9-

I flinched at the sudden yelling and swiftly turned around to see who it was. In the hallway stood a tall boy around the twin's age. He looked me up and down before turning back to my brothers. "Can someone tell me who she is and what she's doing here?" He enquired quite rudely.

Carson was the first to speak up. "Aaron this is Alexa." He introduced us and I gave him a small smile, but Aaron just straight up gave me a look of disgust.

"Can you guys please stop bringing sluts to the house? I am trying to study for a test." He pleaded, annoyance clear in his voice. My jaw immediately dropped and I couldn't believe what I just heard. How dare he call me a slut?

I looked over at my brothers and I could tell they were just as shocked as me, but their confusion quickly turned into anger. I almost felt sorry for the poor guy that has to face my brother's fury. It took exactly 2.3 seconds for Mason to march over to Aaron, grab his collar and push him against the wall.

"How dare you call my little sister a slut!"Mason roared.

'Here we go again' I thought as I watched him tightens his grip around Aarons's neck.

I stood completely frozen in place while Mason continued hitting the poor guy's head against the wall, the family pictures practically shaking on the walls.

I looked over at the twins that were just standing there watching. Is he not their friend? Still, in shock, I gave them a look of disbelief. "Aren't you going to do something?!" I asked. Damon just gave me a look that says 'he deserved it. I rolled my eyes at his immaturity, but he just chuckled at me.

Left with no choice I carefully approached my fuming brother. Careful not to upset him any further I gently grabbed his arm leading it away from Aaron.

"It's okay Mason he didn't know" I assured him. I gently tilted his head down to meet my gaze. He looked down at my scared expression and his eyes softened slightly.

I turned my attention to the whining boy currently laying on the living room floor and a very unladylike snort escaped my mouth.

"So who exactly are you?" I asked Aaron as he wiped the dust off his hoodie.

" shouldn't I ask you that? You are supposed to be their sister, but I have never seen you here before. How was I supposed to you weren't just a common slut?"

I sighted and crossed my arms over my chest. I seriously cannot deal with all this bullshit.

"Can't you just get the fuck out of my house!?" I yelled back pointing at the front door.

"Well, that's gonna be a bit difficult since I live here." He argued back.

I was just about to argue back when Axel cleared his throat. Both of us turned around to demand an explanation for all this. They can't seriously expect me to live in the same house as that selfish asshole.

"Alexa, Aaron" he acknowledged both of us. "Alexa when you were gone we kind of rented out the guest room to Aaron and he is going to continue living with us," he said looking at me with a stern expression.

Aaron smirked teasingly at me and I rolled my eyes at his childishness.

"Aaron this is our little sister Alexandra and she is starting her senior year tomorrow so it will be your job to keep an eye out for her at school."

I looked up at Axel in shock. "I don't need someone to watch out for me and especially not him!" I exclaimed. I was just about to protest when Mason butts in.

"It isn't up for debate Alexandra. We have already lost you once, we are not losing you again." He spoke with such force that I know that the conversation is pretty much done. There is no room for debate and the sense of losing control is slowly creeping up on me.

I glared at my other siblings expecting at least Carson to stand up for me, but none of them said anything and I could tell that they are avoiding meeting my gaze. I have to admit that it kind of hurts being called Alexandra. I guess that you just get used to being someone else, in my case I became Alex.

A carefree young girl that loves hanging out with her friends and experience everything life has to offer.

And I still do and I am not letting myself go back to my old ways.

I'm not going to let people walk all over me anymore, I'm gonna show everyone that I am no longer the loser they used to know. That girl died the day I left LA.

I managed to tear my glossy eyes away from the people in front of me and I ran straight out of the front door. Shutting it with all the force I have. For the first time since I got back, I have the chance to walk the streets where I grew up. The sky is painted in a pretty blue color and I couldn't help but be amazed by the beautiful nature that surrounds me.

The streets were quiet as I continue to walk past all the new houses that have recently been built. Some have been painted in a classic white color while others in a bright yellow color.

That's what I like about this city, it has room for all kinds of people. Except myself. Or at least that's what I have always been told. The words 'We don't want to here' or 'You don't belong here are forever stuck in the back of my mind.

After a while, I found myself in the park where I would come almost every day. While the sky was slowly darkening I found a bare spot to lie down. Everything was so quiet and my thought were constantly wandering around. I thought about the place in life I currently find myself in.

I don't know if it is the feeling of a new beginning where no one knows what a loser I was that seemed appealing to me a couple of years back, but I never seem to get used to the idea that some genuine people wanted to be friends with me.

I clearly remember my first day in New York. I was only a young girl with no experience with people whatsoever, but somehow I managed to run into a group of guys that hung outside a sketchy-looking gym.

-FLASHBACK-

I had just managed to get off the crowded bus, but I soon realized that this was probably not a safe place to be late at night. I held tightly onto my backpack that held all of my valuables. It wasn't much, only a stack of money and the jewelry that I had inherited from my mother.

The streets were pretty quiet, but the distant sound of cars and sirens could be heard in the dark.

I continued wandering around for a couple of hours with no nice-looking place to sleep insight. Suddenly I heard the sound of loud talking from one of the dark brick buildings. I slowly approached it in hope of finding shelter, but just as I was about to knock on the front door it was quickly pulled open and the force sent me flying straight for the concrete ground.

The chattering got louder as I tried to pull myself up from the hard ground. Out the door came a group of scary-looking teenage boys.

The chattering stopped and they looked down at me shocked to see a little girl bleeding on the ground. One of them took a step towards me and I desperately tried to get back up. But my clumsy ass self only managed to slip and back on the ground I was.

The same guy continued approaching me and then proceeded to reach out and grab me. I flinched and the thought of being hit again made tears flow down my red cheeks. I waited for the impact, but instead, I was being pulled into a warm chest.

"Shhh it's okay I'm just gonna help you" he reassured me as he gently carried me inside the door to the building he came out from. The next thing I remember is being placed in a warm bed.

That was the first time I met Xander.
