You did everything to keep down your half-digested lunch, but it wasn't nearly enough. The acid that rested inside your stomach slowly crawled up your throat, burning away at the tender skin. The putrid smell of burning flesh was enough to make your stomach churn.
Another quick glance at the charred body before you was your undoing. Your jaws forced themselves open to let your stomach acid spew out.
Your hunched-over form was utterly vulnerable, and he took full advantage of that. A hand gently patted your shoulder, but it made you feel sicker. There was no sense of comfort when he was around. All his presence brought was sorrow and disgust.
"Aww... does little (Y/n) have a weak stomach?" You wish you could punch him in the jugular. It would be so satisfying to get him to shut the fuck up.
After a few minutes of dry heaving and gagging, you finally regained your composure. You quickly swiped your sleeve across your mouth to get rid of the lingering vomit. Tears pricked the concerns of your eyes as you did your best to bite back sobs.
"Why? You- you killed him. Why did it have to be him?" Your voice was hoarse and barely above a whisper. The unstable man before you only tilted his head as a response.
"Why did I do it? I thought it was pretty obvious," He spat out. His words were bitter and sour to the core. His eyes were locked onto your form, only flickering to look at the charred corpse once or twice.
Was it obvious? You didn't know anymore. Everything he did wasn't normal. He was far beyond being stable, that much you could understand. What made him snap was an entirely different mystery.
"No. It's really not that obvious. Normally people don't burn others alive, but that's my opinion." You knew that being sarcastic wasn't a brilliant idea, but you didn't feel inclined to hold back.
Sapnap only scoffed and rolled his charcoal colored eyes. His eyebrows were furrowed in annoyance while his lips were drawn in a tense frown, his teeth poking out a bit.
He was doing his best to hold up an appearance of confidence, but his mask was slowly slipping.

No matter how good of an actor he was, you still managed to see through cracks forming in his façade. He wasn't nearly as talented as Dream was.
"You know, that smart mouth of yours isn't going to help you out of this situation," he playfully chided, his smirk only growing.
Sapnap, for the short amount of time you had known him, never seemed quite right to you. He was always staring, always watching. Always observing. For the past few months, you never felt alone, which wasn't a good thing. Now you realized you hadn't been alone.
"You're sick." This only caused him to spiral into a fit of laughter.
"Hah–sick. Sick, I'm sick! Ha!" Your eyes narrowed, feeling greatly disturbed by his behavior as you watched him double over.
His body shook with every thunderous laugh. You didn't see why it was funny, but you didn't expect an unstable man to have a good sense of humor.
Sapnap wiped a tear from his eye while trying to hold himself together. He finally let out a satisfied sigh and straightened his posture.
You held a weary look in your eye that just... ticked him off. He really wished you wouldn't look at him like that.
At least he finally had your attention. Anything was better than you ignoring him.
"Things could have been different, y'know. You could have accepted my confession instead of throwing me away like I was ." His blazing eyes stared into yours with an intensity that you had never seen before.
"Instead of picking me, the obvious choice, you chose Dream of all people. That's what hurts the most. Why wasn't I good enough for you?"
Maybe because you barely knew him! You had known Dream since you were a child. You had grown up together side by side, never being apart for more than a few months at a time.
Sapnap had just forced his way into your life without considering how it would make you feel. He had harassed you, belittled your friends, and even tried to hurt you. After all of that, he simply expected you to fall into his waiting arms.
That's not how life works. He was beyond delusional if he didn't see the blatant problem.
And to top it all off, the absolute cherry on top of the crumbling cake, he just murdered your best friend. He set him on fire and forced you to watch as the life was burned out of him.

His screams still replayed like a mantra over and over in your head. You would never forget the way his flesh melted and turned an ugly shade of red before it became black. His lifeless eyes would never, ever leave your memory.
All of this trauma and heartache was the cause of a demented man. He had made your life a living hell. He had twisted your mind so much that you didn't even know if it would ever be normal again.
No amount of therapy would ever bring back your best friend. That thought alone made your knees buckle. You- how were you supposed to continue without him?
"You're even crying over him. He's not here anymore! Just- just pay attention to me!" Sapnap desperately reached out towards you, but you only crawled away.
His frustration and anger were starting to come to a dangerous boiling point. He just wanted your affection! Why couldn't you give him what you gave Dream? Why did you have to shun him? Wasn't he far better?
Your choked sobs filled the air as you continued to scramble away from the crazed man before you. Your heart was beating so fast that it was starting to stutter.
"You will never replace Dream! You're a fucking monster. I would never love you, even if you were the last person on earth." Sapnap seemed to go still at your hurtful words. They obviously struck a chord with him.
"You'll never love me? Fine. Fine! Have it your way, you ungrateful bitch," He snarled, his eyes growing darker. "If you won't love me, I won't let you love anybody else."
Your hazy mind went into a panicked overdrive as you thought about the meaning behind his threat. Realizing that he was probably going to hurt you somehow, your eyes widened.
Before he slammed his foot onto your chest, you didn't get very far. You opened your mouth to scream, but a choked gurgle was all. The tears that had once pricked your eyes now cascaded down your face.
"This is your fault. This... this is your fault!" He continued to repeat that phrase repeatedly as he continued to slam his foot down. A sickening crack rang through his ears, but that wasn't enough to stop him.
Sapnap continued to stomp on your body, not realizing that you had stopped moving or making noises after the second or third kick. Your eyes became glossed over, and your face was frozen in agony and terror.
He finally stepped away from your body, his chest heaving for air. His impossibly wide eyes glared at your body with the same bitterness he felt before. His forehead was slick with sweat.
Sapnap thought that killing you would make it better. That it would make the emotions go away, but he felt empty. It was like his heart had stopped beating as soon as yours did.
A sudden thought struck him. Dream was dead, and now you were. No, this wasn't fair! It wasn't fucking fair.
Even in death, Dream still won. He would be in the afterlife with you. He harshly bit down on his lip, not even noticing how badly he had ripped the skin.
Blood dribbled down his chin as he blankly stared at your mangled corpse. Blood had slowly started to pool around your stiff corpse.
He- he needed to fix this. He couldn't let Dream win, not again. He would finally have you, even if it meant joining you.
With a content smile, he reached into his pocket for a single match. Yes! This was it. This was the answer to all of his problems.
With a single flick, the match was struck. He watched the tiny flame dance, feeling oddly at peace. With a happy sigh, he held it up against his white shirt.
It didn't take long for the fire to consume him. His screams and fits of manic laughter filled the forest. His final moments may have been torture, but at least he'd see you again. It was all worth it in the end.

Holy shit... this got dark very quickly. I originally wasn't going to take it down this path, but uh... well... oops.
What do you guys think? Is this better than the old version? Lemme know what you think.
Also, I plan on re-writing "Lovely Day For Tea" soon. I just have to scrape together enough motivation to get it done.
Stay safe lovelies! ❤

A Wish Beyond Chaos
Knights cultivate Laws to transcend mortality. They live for centuries, leading all of humanity while ceaselessly searching for the ultimate path. Mages study Runes to control creation itself. Their lives are short, but burn with unmatched radiance, leaving marks that may never fade. Roland Crescent consumes food to continue existing. He has lived for almost fifteen years without accidentally choking to death, a feat not yet committed to chronicles and song. Five years ago, at the tender age of nine, Roland suddenly stopped dreaming and instead started seeing the imminent deaths of those around him in nightly visions. Believing himself destined for greatness, he set out to become a righteous hero of justice. But as the years passed this young wannabe savior found that his duties brought him almost no discernible benefits, whereas new burdens kept piling onto his small shoulders without end. When a longtime plan’s failure ends up opening the path to several twisted opportunities, Roland might have to finally admit to himself that nobody of importance, much less fate itself, had any regards for his heroic inclinations. Slow paced, character focused story. Gets very dark at times. Basically like Lord of the Mysteries with more comedic aspects at the start. Chapters are released Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Average chapter length is about 4000 words, with only the first vision being noticeably shorter. Have fun reading.

(DEMO) Colorless vol.1- Phantamoire Enigmata
This is a demo volume consisting only seven chapters. The sole reason of this publication is to show the world a glimpse of the project. Therefore, the final quality of the product will be lot more refined and polished. This demo might get deleted from RoyalRoad after the actual publication. Synopsis: "Knights wearing their shining armor serving righteous justice riding their glorious horses." We all have heard that story- Heroes who do the right in the purest way without any tampering. But, is it really that easy? Is the world and it's heroes really that pure? After all... fairytale is just a lie. I might be the first author in the world who despises writing. I haven't read any story books or novel in my entire life but children's story book (not even ten of them). So, why do I write? Simple answer- the story. Inexperienced I may be but I believe my project and it's quality. The actual story will be posted somewhere in 2019. The story will be devided into 7/8 volumes and 90 (approx.) chapters. I have been working on this project for 1 year now. It took me 5 months to finalize the concept and plot, 7 months for the story and it's already been 6 months in writing along with 2 times of total revamp.

absolution.
When Tommy dies, he expects to see Wilbur. Or Schlatt. Hell, even Mexican Dream. After all, that'd mean that there was at least an afterlife in the DreamSMP. What he doesn't expect is to wake up to another world, one that his communicator tells him isn't exactly a server. He can't seem to find any other servers, this one doesn't have a whitelist, and... there's no admin. No Dream. Instead, there are heroes. Heroes, villains, vigilantes, and civilians. There are powers called quirks, and they don't come from hybrid traits--they're natural. There's an entirely different society, one that doesn't have records of discs, mistakes, and the Blood God in its history for its base. There are schools that teach hero-wannabes how to soar to the top, and there are villains capable of flipping the world over its very roots. There were no heroes in his past life. Tommy himself is far from one.Yet maybe, in this life, he can at least try to be there for those who need it.===or; in which Tommy Innit "Theseus" Craft becomes a vigilante, a cafe barista, and then a somewhat-hero, wrecking BnHA canon in the processor, a dsmp x bnha crossover because i'm in love with the idea===(WARNING: this fic will depict lots, and i mean Lots, of sensitive themes, including but not limited to: violence, trauma, suicide themes, etc. due to the dsmp in general as well as how i'm making this realistic as i can. if you are triggered by some of these sensitive topics or what c!tommy goes through, DO NOT READ THIS.
