No person wants to ever say good-bye

but that day eventually comes for us all.

It waits for no man, as time will simply fly

till the day comes when fate makes the call.

When laid to rest another chapter ends

as new paths and contacts quietly form.

There will always be new family and friends

new people here to help weather the storm.

Saying farewell to a loved one isn’t easy

a lesson we all must eventually learn.

While this poet doesn’t want to be cheesy

life forces each of us to take our turn.

When someone goes, we feel it deep below

but take each hit in stride, go with the flow.
