《Phantom Transgression》Chapter 40

Bob knew it was better to be silent but broke it, "I know no Walker."
"You were the one who used to black mail him since a long time. You had threatened to kill his family members if he dared to share the secret with anyone."
"No, I'm just Bob. My name is Bob McGrath. They call me Bob with love. You can check my- my citizenship, birth certificate and anything you can. I am not someone who can blackmail. I am not a blackmailer."
"Yes, now you are Bob but a little more than a month ago you were corrupt Mohammad Haq."
No one could believe what they were hearing.
Camshron resumed, "Yes, Haq. Md. Haq, the trust resistant embassy member. Was it what they called you behind your back?" "No."
"But it is true. The final truth. Do you think I kept napping for two days when I bunked CIA works? I studied the house, parking area and interrogated neighbors alone. You understand? Alone. I found more and more about the missing lad. Doing so made me steal a photo from your house while you and your people kept sleeping in the basement."
"So you were doing that Camshron? I don’t have anything to say about dogs now." said Mr. Fernsby.
I was not alone in the house. Camshron kept the fact of Mr. Meredink accompanying him to himself.
"You were in the house?" culprit angered.
"Oh! I was talking about Walker. Haq had chosen Walker because he was from Navy. And most of all, his height, weight as well as blood group matched with Haq. He was a perfect man to be slaughtered. Haq tortured him and gave so much mental pressure on him that he had no other solution except being a body double of Haq. Only his sacrifice could save his family. He was forced to agree."
"Then what happened?" Les became curious, looking at Bob.
"As agreed the preparation for set up had started. Haq's absence note proves it. He erased information about him but forgot about the coat in the embassy. More than the coat, absence letter in his pocket made it certain to me about it. Later in 4th July when conference got canceled due to security reasons, Haq got delighted because had found somebody to be trapped. The security manager. That day Haq went to The White House but in home, came poor Walker whose face was now like Haq's. Plastic surgery by a doctor made all this possible."
Camshron couldn’t stop, "As per his plan, he hired an assassin for it naming Phantom Being."
"So where did you go, Haq, that day?" Mr. Hadfield asked.

Bob answered, "Went to South Dakota with a doctor for a plastic surgery. Phantom Being was not a problem for me because he had never met me before. We just had talked on the phone. And when he saw me in Hot Springs, it was too late for him to find out what I looked like."
"When Walker got eliminated then…" Camshron spoke, "then Phantom Being erased every proof but he had killed him as Haq had told. Head, heart and chest. It was a token like thing of another assassin naming Levi Mike. In this way, he pushed out investigation to the wrong path. But how funny…there is always a But. Haq couldn’t get rid of Lorgé's case on him."
"Keep going." Mr. Morris boosted him.
"So he decided to kill Lorgé as well but this time also he chose Mike. From this matter, he connected this case in an unusual matter with Colonel Norton. This was an advantage. Linking the case with Mike was the best way to carry out an incredible setup which could make both Phantom Being and Haq look far from all these. So this made Phantom Being to free Levi Mike from St. Elizabeth's from where he could play with Mike's psychology. Then he was made by Haq to kill Lorgé but he survived. These things turned up his strategy. It made the sword of suspect lean at Colonel Norton."
"Because coincidently, Mr. Hadfield took Norton's name before the attack on Lorgé." Said Les looking at his gun's handle like he was about to fire it any time if something went wrong in there.
"What do you mean?" Mr. Fernsby exclaimed, "Was it per Haq's plan?"
"Sure it was. After the attack, we confirmed that the man who attacked Lorgé and killed Haq was same but Haq had made us dumb. The failure was best condition for him. His plan was perfect. Even a failure could catapult his name far too away. Mike came to Bob then he put fake information in his mind and left Bob's name. His plan was perfect but he had suspicion due to his pessimistic behavior. He thought he had made a mistake, which he hadn’t, so he again hired Phantom Being to kill Mike but we got Mike at the right time. Then he made a confession. We were in shock then. But I…we all knew that a psychopathic patient can never kill such a VIP at all. So we kept investigating."
"Come on!" Mr. Fernsby could hold more and was now more like as a child.
"But media got to know we were suspecting Norton and then they leaked it. But Norton kept quiet due to agreement he had made in London last year. You took serious advantage of it. The absence of prototype made me think Norton is the only possible culprit but as I knew about Walker's disappearance then I figured out something."

MPDC head said, "The only available prototype was stolen by Walker there. Norton was silent because he was blamed for the security in White house too and he was being pulled in your murder Mohammad Haq."
"Right, Mr. Meredink, all truth. But before we got to know that, we thought Norton had hired Phantom Being to kill Haq, Mike to Lorgé and again Phantom Being to Mike because of the prototype in South Dakota. We couldn’t conclude Bob's identity but the clues that were available told us a story- Norton killed Haq. He had appointed Bob for all the controls. Then Bob hired Phantom Being as well as Mike. A bunch of confusions. Full confusing shit! Who was with whom? We couldn’t predict anything…"
"Camshron!" Les broke his emotions.
"Okay…" he paused for a second or for two to get a breather, "but you know, Mike got us informed that you were not linked with Norton at all."
"IMPOSSIBLE!" Haq roared.
"In right time, the locked memory got opened which was in Mike's mind otherwise we would have been deceived. But do you know what your greatest mistake was in the plan?"
He was certainly not going to ask What even though he wanted to ask.
Instead he fell silent.
"You killed Dr. Kevin Jones. This made me sure he had conducted cosmetic surgery on you. But for others, the story resumed- to save Bob, Norton made him kill Dr. Jones too. Rubbish! I tried to convince everyone but no one was convinced. All started searching the evidences against Norton. And the phone call from Norton to Walker's family made the situation even worse. Nothing could help him. The agreement in London made him pay a lot. His silence dragged him to the evil. When Norton decided to open his mouth and show up in from of public for clarification it was too late because…"
Mr. Meredink said, "He had nothing in his favor to defend him. And you know one thing sir?" he looked at Mr. Fernsby.
"What's more?" he looked back at him.
"Detective Camshron somewhat…err…somewhat stepped across secret service regulations."
"I guess more of the breaches will be revealed with days passing." Mr. Fernsby sighed
"It was his personal plan to show Central Intelligence Agency the photograph. This was way too risky than expectation. I suggested him to hide the photograph and carry on the passive investigation but he denied my suggestion…"
"Perhaps I felt too liberated." Camshron spoke, "I told lies to you and in an irresponsible way, dragged Mr. Norton to the court. I guaranteed you the second murder story was true and the condition made you believe it. I had convinced you about Norton's story. I made the trial happen immediately because I knew trial's delay would lead to nothing but more trouble to Norton. Any new point against him could take him to legal actions by the court."
"I wonder how many lies I have listened to." Mr. Fernsby felt somewhat cheated as a DSA Director.
"The only solution to make culprit feel safe is to investigate with his plan." Camshron muttered, "I did the same. I made Haq feel that Norton could go nowhere so he stayed relaxed. His plan was to leave US after few days the court decided that colonel was guilty for those murders. Haq would have never come in his house if I had not stolen a gun from Haq's house after getting to know about Phantom Being's fetish."
Camshron looked at Les.
Les was looking elsewhere.
Les was the person who was responsible for his escape from the temporary prison.
"So Haq…it's time to go to the prison. And have some haircut there. You look like a bear that eats nothing but kills everything." Camshron breathed, "Since the name of Walker disappeared I got certain that Haq and Bob are same but there was no other way to prove it except me going in my own way. I ran from the prison and put the whole MPD behind me. Risking an innocent life was the only solution to prove this." He said in little bit of embarrassed voice, "So, Bob…I mean Haq, do you accept all these things?"
"Detective Nathan Camshron," he said in anger and looking at a tape recorder in a cops' hand which had veeb recording all the things, "I accept I am the man who killed Walker, Dr. Jones, I made the master plan and attempted to kill Lorgé as well as you detective."
"Any particular motive? You had everything here, didn’t you?"
Haq said after a short silence, "Because I knew everyone called me corrupt and I was. As long as I was there, I was in risk of being discovered as a corrupt politician."
"All this for this matter?" all raised their eyebrows.
"No just that. I was also involved in some of the-"
"-attacks last year in Florida?"
"Yes."
"Why did you start such a big string of crimes?"
"Why do you want to know now?" Haq looked at them, "You have got me. Cherish in it, Mr. Camshron."
