The figure was tall and thin, and wore a luxurious red robe with golden Phoneix inscriptions on it. Her deep black hair was colored by a crimson red at its end. Her silky hair was held together by a golden Phoneix hair clip.

Her red robe barely covered above her kneecaps, showing off her jade white legs and chest, leaving quite the cleavage for anyone who could dare to look.

''So this is the so famed 'Heavenly Merit Acquisition', huh?'' she mumbled to herself.

''Hi, Lin Er, it's been a while.'' she greeted the Space Empress with a faint smile using her actual name, ''It's nice to see you as well, Ice Empress'' she nodded to Li Jing and finally, ''Little Ghost.'' she merely nodded at her and left it at that.

''Oh, our famed 'Phoenix Empress' finally showed herself.'' Space Empress nudged her with unconcealed joy as she finally had someone to talk to that didn't have a gigantic stick up her ass.

Phoenix Empress chuckled, ''Yeah, that joke is getting old. Call me Huang An.''

She turned her head to the screen after getting silent greetings from the other Empresses there.

''I'm pretty much up to the most recent event thanks to my disciple there,'' she waved her hand to a cute girl in a red dress that was sitting on a comfortable seat guarded by several disciples. ''But something caught my eye that nobody seems to talk about.'' she grinned as she looked at the Ice Empress as if she was trying to rope a reaction out of her, completely ignoring the Space Empress that was signaling her to stop by crossing her hands.

''Hey, 'Little Jing' w-'' her mocking words were cut short by Li Jing's killing intent flaring up with a deep edge.

''You don't get to call me that. Only my elder brother can call me Little Jing.'' she said before taking back her aura and killing intent, and acting like none of this just happened.

Space Empress who was happy simply from the cheerful personality of Huang An sent a telepathic message to her, ''It is kind of a sensitive topic, don't wander into it.''

Huang An slowly nodded with a pained smile as she truly meant nothing of it and turned her focus into the Heavenly Merit Acquisition screen.

''100 lives full of good karma eh?'' she seemed to have a deep interest in Wang.

''Yeah I know, what a sucker. If he was a little bit more selfish maybe he could be among us right now.'' Space Empress transmitted to her head, not wanting to mock Wang in front of Li Jing for obvious reasons.

Besides her words, she actually admired him a little as well.

''According to the Legends, acquiring the acknowledgment of the Heavens like this means the person in question has already ascended to a higher realm.'' she said, half to herself, half to the Ice Empress to mend her heart.

''Maybe he is already in a higher dimension, looking at us like ants.''

''Well, I guess he deserved it after 100 lives full of suffering and self sacrifice.''

Unknown to them, the person in question was listening to their conversation.

His sense of self was kind of detached from the life on the screen at this moment, perhaps because it was nearing its death, and he could listen to the happenings outside the screen.

''They turned my death into quite a spectacle.'' he didn't know what to say.

They were nothing compared to what he learned at the start of his Heavenly Merit Acquisition.
