With the mystery about the system and the world it created still being in the air. Collin commanded Snuggly and chirp-a-lot to be on guard and patrol around a bit. Just in case the system were bored and wanted to throw some secret bosses in their path. Collin, Sophie and Ronald went to the treasure chest and stood around it in a circle.
"This is my favourite part!" Sophie said while shaking from excitement.
"You know that greed can be fateful right Sophie. Before you know it you jump off a waterfall, because you see a treasure chest at the bottom of it. Only to end up as a puddle of blood without having even seen the contents!"
Sophie crossed her arms and tilted her head.
"There is a fine line between curiousity and plain idiotic behaviour Ronald"
Collin ignored their idle chatting and opened up the treasure chest. Inside they found 20 magic screws. Which obviously made Collin happy it is always good to have a pile of those damn things with him.
There was also a pouch inside the chest. Which Collin opened and looked into excitingly. Hoping there were even more components within there. For him to craft his heart out. But he was quickly disappointed when he saw the actual components.
Inside were about 50 knives that seems to be in between the small and medium size. The handle was made of an orange wooden material. That they don't recognise. It certainly doesn't grow within Lareyville at least. The handle itself looks to have been made for a large hand. Which resulted in a pretty big handle. The blade itself was made of steel and went from large to thin, much like a needle at the pointed end. There was an amber inserted in between the blade and the handle.
As Collin looked further through the chest there was a metal rod with engravings of a strange mythical creature that none of the trio have seen before. Which is pretty strange with how many mythical creatures there are in the Lareyville province.
This mythical creature in particular has a vulture-like neck. The head of a disfigured man. The bottom of a chicken like creature and two huge human like arms. Whats about the same size as the bottom of the creature. Those arms held the handle of the rod. Which was simple a long handle that could hold two hands.
Collin inspected the weapons:
Bull's Eye
Throwing knife (50/50 uses)
Gold
5-8 DMG
A throwing knife which can also be used as a normal knife if needed. The tribe of the Golden Chance has found it, after defeating the infamous bull of merry ranch.
Ability:
If used as a normal knife:
You got a 20% chance to not consume an knife, when attacking with it.

If used as a throwing knife:
Have a increased chance of hitting a critical hit.
He then inspected the rod.
The Rod of Herding
Magnage's Rod
True Gold
Deals damage that's about 50% of the ATK stat.
A staff once used by a common herder. It is decorated with a mythical creature known as the Gakala. It was originally engraved into it to protect the herd of the farmer from being attacked by vile birds. However in the new world this particular staff got a special power. Which can be unlocked only by a skilled mage in the art of metal.
"Hmm it is pretty strange that we haven't really seen any armor pieces so far." Collin said to himself while looking at the content of the treasure.
Sandy pardoned herself and activates herself and started talking.
"Armor pieces? Why would you want to walk around in iron bars, during a hot day. With your small body that will likely hinder yourself more then it benefits yourself."
"So no the system haven't yet introduced a clothing system in their ecosystem just yet. But just expect it to be jeans and shirts with special stats really."
Sandy went back in her device form.
"Thank you I suppose. Either way Sophie, Ronald those are for you"
"Really for me? I thought you would like to play a little mage and give that class a try." Sophie joked while poking Collin softly with her elbow.
"Haha, very funny Sophie. Let's keep it going shall we?"
Sophie nodded and equipped her new rod and looked at it in amazement. She started swing around a bit with it and planted it in the ground and accidentally hit Ronald who ended up falling over from the unexpected impact.
"Woah woah careful there lady!" Ronald said while standing back up to his feet again holding the implanted rod.
They then followed Collin who was heading towards the shack. Which they got for reaching the golden clearance reward.
However it was then they realised, they have no clue where this shack is supposed to be.
As they looked around the first floor where the fight just happened. They found a door at the right side of this room with a keyhole in it. The key luckily was hanging beside the door so they decided to open it up. To their suprise it was actually a balcony so they put their hand onto the fenced and started looking around.
There was the muddy road that they walked onto to get to this farmhouse which went. Straight through the farmlands who was beside this road. It was weathered corn plants giving the area quite the somber sight. At the end of the mud road they could see the concrete road. Which they crossed before to get here. This road actually connects Lareyville to Greenspar. Which was another big city nearby. But putting their focus back on the farmlands, they managed to see a old black shack standing in the middle of the death plants.

They walked downstairs while the stairs were creaking. Collin wondered how they didn't fall through them just yet. They opened the door to the basement and walked down to the basement. They won't stay here too long and quickly went upstairs once more. All while snuggly and chirp-a-lot were still holding their guards up.
They walked around the outside walls of the farmhouse and walked to the left patch of farmland. They were able to see the balcony they just stood on confirming they are at the right spot. They then pushed through all of the rotten crops. The shack was farther then they expected and the walk took a good ten minutes.
It was a small wooden shack. But the wood had become almost black, from the many rainy days they have seen through their lifetime. At the top of the shack there are some creaks but not big enough to sneak into it from there. So they walked to the door which also had some holes in it and pulled it open.
Inside there stood a workbench below a small window near the roof. There stood a chest on it. There was an axe, a pickaxe and an shovel hanging above the workbench. So Collin took them and put them in this portable storage he got called an inventory. Which went easier then expected. Sandy just scanned it and slowly it broke in particles which then got vacuumed inside of Sandy.
Collin then opened the chest on the workbench and found a few items inside of it. Which only seems to be a few old books, however Collin opened it to read through it. But then it suddenly vanished from his hands which spooked Collin slightly. He then got a system notification.
Congratulations host, you have successfully learned the recipe of the robotics workbench.
Then Collin remembered that there is an entire system behind the world right now. He felt stupid being spooked by something this predictable. With the new world being like an video game of course it also has recipe books. But most likely skill and spell books too.
He then opened the second book and got like expected, another notification. The book then also vanished.
Congratulations host, you have learned a new skill set called the Robomechanic skills.
Collin scratched his head.
"Robomechanic skills? Would this be similiar to the lifestyle system in many of the mmo's that the world had. With a so-called robotics workbench. That does seems the most logic."
At last he read the final book in the chest. Giving the third notification while vanishing.
Congratulations host, you have learned how to craft basic parts for your minions.
He grabbed the bag in the chest which was the final item in the chest. He put it in his inventory and checked what it was. Turns out it was something called a basic robotic crafting kit. Containing a bunch of components and a new robotic crafting components pouch.
Being really satisfied about all of this and trying to theorise what it might allow him to do now. Another suprising but welcome notification popped up.
For clearing the old farm and your outstanding performance in this structure. The platinum clearance reward has been unlocked. You will have access to a secret chest.
The three of them looked confused to this notification, and then gave the same look to each other.
"There was a fourth clearance option? Why didn't Sandy tell us about that before?"
Ronald shaked his head.
"Because she's a pawn of the system of course. That would ruin the 'fun' of the exploration of structures."
Collin decided to just confront Sandy and explain themselves.
"Ahh I thought this was the reason you went into a tier 2 structure? You tribe average is still that of copper or tier 1 depending on a dungeon or a structure. But you decided to tackle a tier 2 structure either way."
"Most of the average people in the world at the current stage. Would just die in a tier 2 structure really. But still you all decided to give it a shot and somehow managed to defeat the named creature. So the system decided to reward you with a secret chest."
Collin was happy to hear that and really excited. He had already gotten all of those amazing rewards and there was still one more waiting for him?!
However Ronald quickly got Collin out of his daydreaming.
"This is what I meant with greed taking over Collin. Haven't you even realised that Sandy just didn't warn us at all when we entered that farmhouse."
"Like it might have been nice if they gave us a sign if there is a big chance we would die in that damn structure!"
Sophie then just put her hand on Ronald's shoulder.
"Agreed but at least we are all still alive and we got quite some nice goodies. So just let it rest Ronald."
Collin gasped and gave a angry look at Sophie.
"Sorry? We are not even counting Pillow anymore? He died in that damn structure for you, no us Sophie."
Sophie just shrugged
"It was just a machine you can just build another one if you wish Collin. Who cares?"
Sophie then wanted to leave the shack to look for the platinum chest.
However before Sophie left. Ronald suggested to first look through the shack in case they missed anything. The rest of the group agreed and Sophie went back in to help looking. Turns out they did miss something. In the right corner there was another bag. Collin picked it up and inspected it this was called the basic robotics upgrades bag. Containing well more components and a robotic upgrade components pouch.
Ronald though swore there wasn't anything in the right corner when he checked it out earlier. Sophie, Collin and also Sandy by some reason. Laughed at him and they all exited the shack

Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)
