《The Awakened One, Book 1: Remnant》Chapter 56: Finally

What proceeded to ensue after the thick but innocent Ruby disrobed and tackled the blushing, embarrassed Weiss Schnee was exciting to say the least, however the details of this story should be revealed at another time. Soon after the lovers joyfully erotic activities concluded, one by one the lovers fell asleep, leaving (Y/N) to decide to leave explaining the important information to a later date. Waking up first the next morning was the incredibly energetic Ruby who saw that (Y/N) was still awake and whispered a secret into his ear, the secret turned out to be the fact that today was Yang’s birthday. So, instead of spending the day in dread, the rest of the day the lovers celebrated Yang’s twentieth birthday in spectacular fashion, and since the stalls and vendors from the Summer Tournament were still up and active, it didn’t take much for them to find exciting things to do. Although it was late notice, (Y/N) did manage to whip up a quick present for the firecracker, using the System Forge to create special, powered up bullets for her Ember Celica that she deeply appreciated. As things were calming down later that night, the lovers were walking along the path next to the massive cliff-side water fall the glew brightly in the night-sky, enjoying the nights silent, calming atmosphere as Yang’s birthday came to an end.

It must have been something about the empty, night atmosphere and the cool chill of the wind that left Yang with a slightly somber expression, and midway through the groups walk, Yang decided to separate from them, leisurely walking to the edge of the lakes railing. (Y/N) immediately noticed Yang walking off and so did Glynda, but he waved the woman off and with his eyes he told his lover that he’d talk to her. The Professor nodded in response and began leading the group back to their room with everyone being knowledgeable about Yang’s situation, and with that they continued walking along their path, leaving Yang and (Y/N) a lone in the cool night air. The Faunus man leisurely stepped into line right beside the fiery woman, leaning over the railing, and staring into the moonlit lake, silently looking at the ripples in the water with a curious eye.

Yang did the same, although she constantly glanced to the side, looking at (Y/N)’s face as she impatiently waited for him to say something. She didn’t have to wait long as a moment later she heard, “it’s quite the beautiful sight, isn’t it? A cliff-side moonlit lake, with the calming sound of rushing, but relaxing, water coming from a dazzling waterfall that is in clear view. And topping all that off, a fiery, alluring, shining, gorgeous woman looking over it all, I don’t think anything could get more appealing than this. Unless of course, the fiery, alluring, shining, gorgeous woman was also smiling, that would definitely make it like ten times better” he said as he gave the girl a side eye, watching as a small smirk grew across Yang’s lips.

The fiery woman scoffed slightly before saying, “your kinda corny you know that?”

“Yeah, I know,” he said with a grin as he turned to face the pretty firecracker, “but it worked, didn’t it?”

Yang’s cheeks rosed up slightly, “shut-up asshole” she spoke, playfully punching the man in his shoulder. The duo laughed off the exchange, chuckling as they stared back over the edge, into the rippling moonlit lake. “So, what do you wanna know? I’m not stupid enough to believe that you just walked over here to give me a compliment and then just dip.”

“I mean that is something that I would do if it would make you feel better, but if your in a speaking mood then I’d like to know what’s been on your mind all day.” At his comment, Yang’s eyes widened slightly in surprise, “what, you thought I wouldn’t notice? Trust me, if there is anyone in this world who knows what it looks like to be somewhere physically but mentally be on another planet, its me. It’s pretty obvious that somethings been eating at you, but the question is, what?”

The blonde took a moment of pause as she inhaled a deep breath before exhaling again, “I had a lot of fun today don’t get me wrong, thanks again for the firecracker shells, but it’s kinda hard you know. Like, I don’t know… it’s stupid.” She exclaimed, standing up from the ledge to look over everything with her whole height. “I don’t really wanna talk about it, it’s just me being dumb. Sorry I wasted your time.”

Before Yang could walk off, she felt a warm, comforting hand on her shoulder, stopping her from moving forward. The hand stopped her in her tracks, not with force, but with the comforting touch and voice that came with it. “Yang, I would never force you to talk about something that you aren’t comfortable talking about, if you don’t want to share then don’t. However, I can’t let you believe that your feelings are dumb or stupid, or that you could even theoretically inconvenience me with them. You could never waste my time with anything, you matter, your feelings matter, and I will do anything to help you out. So, if you think that letting me lend you an ear or a shoulder would help you even a little bit, then lay it on me.” Yang didn’t want to walk away from him, she didn’t want his hand to leave her body, she didn’t want his voice to leave her ears, and more than anything else, she didn’t want him to leave her.

It took her a moment to come to a decision, but as she made her choice, she found herself walking right back to the guard rail overlooking the lake, arm pressed up against (Y/N)’s as she took in a deep breath. “Your so fuckin corny,” she whispered with a grin, “but I guess it worked so I can’t really get mad.” The duo chuckled about the comment for a moment before Yang finally said, “I love you. There’s no reason for me to explain it because I’m sure you already know why and its way more than you just telling me about my mom. Your just so… fuckin nice and shit, and it’s like you always know what to say, you treat Ruby kindly, your strong but you use it to help others, your like a walking almanac, and your hot on top of it. It’s kind of unfair when you think about it. Even hearing about your past yesterday just made you seem even larger than life, but then it just makes it so much more lovable to know that your so humble and down to Remnant/Earth. And the worst part is, I’m pretty sure you at least like me too. Do you?”

“Yeah, I’d definitely be lying if I said I wasn’t smitten by you, and it’s a lot more than just a little crush. I’m not the only one though, you should see what everyone else be saying about you, you’re a group favorite Yang.”

“See! Doesn’t that sound so damn perfect? Like, its way to perfect, especially for me. A large group of beautiful women that love and help each other unconditionally and the sexiest man on the planet, not from this planet, that loves harder than anyone else and is willing to go to insane lengths to ensure that your happy. It sounds like a fuckin trap, there has to be some kind of flaw somewhere! All of that is just directly in front of me with a bow tie on it and everything in my body is telling me to just take the fucking present, but at the same time my mind just keeps telling me no. Its just…” she began, turning to face (Y/N), “last night you know? Last night was probably one of the best nights of my life and for once in my life I really felt like I was… loved, if that makes sense. I know Ruby and my dad love me, but for whatever reason I just can’t feel it, ever. But when you touched me and-and kissed me, I really felt it, you know? But when I woke up, I felt… empty.”

Yang took a moment to compile her thoughts and feelings before continuing with, “I felt like I was just borrowing something from someone else and I needed to give it back. It felt like I was an outsider that had just intruded on someone else’s party, or like I blew out someone else’s candles on their birthday cake. I literally don’t know how else to explain it, and I don’t know why I feel this way about everything, but I feel like I can never be apart of something else because something is wrong with me!” Tears began bubbling up in the corners of Yang’s eyes and in that instant, she was wrapped in the most comforting embrace she had ever felt, and in that moment, it almost felt as if everything was right with the world.

The deep rumble of the enthralling voice that Yang yearned to hear then whispered to her, “there is absolutely nothing wrong with you Yang, you are perfect the way you are, and I love you for every single piece that makes you up. Yang Xiao Long is a perfect woman and I love her, I can’t let you talk shit about the woman I love like that.”

The tears that Yang had been holding back for so long began to flow from her eyes, allowing the girl to release all of the built-up emotion that she had felt for all of these years in the comforting embrace of the man she loved. In the mist of her tears, she managed to say, “your lying to me! I know you are! If I’m so perfect, if I was anything but broken, if there wasn’t something wrong with me, then why did my mom abandon me! Why doesn’t she love me!” (Y/N) continued to gently stroke Yang’s hair and giving her reassuring back rubs as he slowly coaxed out the rest of the tears and feelings that Yang had built up all these years, hiding behind her insistence of finding her mother. The two of them stood in that open area overlooking the lake for a long time, Yang going through an assortment of different emotions as she worked through her feelings, but the entire time (Y/N) never let go of her, letting Yang get out whatever she needed to get out all while in the safety of his embrace. Slowly but surely Yang’s tears died down and with one final sniffle, she was finally able to remove her face from (Y/N)’s chest and say, “fuck that was gross.” The firecracker then wiped the remnants of tears from her eyes before she was able to look up clearly at the Faunus in front of her, immediately realizing the damage she did to his shirt. “Sorry about your uh, shirt, I’ll buy you another one if you want me to.”

“Nah it’s cool,” he responded, “it was a sacrifice for a good cause. By the way, how are you feeling?”

“Better. I haven’t cried like that, hell I haven’t cried at all, probably since the day I almost got me, and Ruby killed. Honestly, I didn’t think that mom was eating at me that bad.” Yang took that moment to cuddle closer up against (Y/N)’s side, hugging tightly to his arm while she leaned her head up against his shoulder. “I knew I wanted to find her and ask her about why she left me, but I didn’t think it was seeping into literally everything else about my life.”

(Y/N) leaned his head atop Yang’s as he said, “yup, childhood trauma will do that too you, but self-awareness is the first step in the healing process, so I’d say your well on your way to a healthy mental state of mind.”

“Oh really? So, now that I know that my mom abandoning me and possibly never loving me caused me to never feel like I could be loved by anyone else, what’s the next step in the process Mr. Therapist?”

(Y/N) then adjusted the non-existent glasses on the bridge of his nose as he got into his supposed therapist character, responding with, “well Mrs. Xiao Long, I believe that there are multiple different branches in the next step process, one would be forgiveness not for the other person but for yourself, others would be various steps to work on feeling others emotionally as a way to tackle the problem head on. However, the one step that I feel you’d be most comfortable with is simply confronting the woman who has brought this feeling upon you.” After his statement, (Y/N) turned to face Yang with a serious expression, “I think that you should continue doing what you have been planning on doing this entire time, just go to Raven and ask her. I think that’s the fastest way for you to heal and, I can’t be sure, but I think that you’ll be happily surprised to hear what she has to say.”

A small glimmer of joy shinned Yang’s eyes as she responded, “you really think so?”

“Yes, I do, Mrs. Xiao Long” the doctor replied.

“I think, I’d feel a bit better if you told me what happened between me and my mother in the show. Do you think you could spill a little bit?”

(Y/N) thought about it for a moment before pulling Yang closer and saying, “listen Yang, in the show Rwby, Raven was implied and often outright stated to be an extremely flawed person, and internally she feels very week. It’s because of this that she chooses to run from her problems instead of facing them head on, but even as she is shown as the ‘bad guy’ in almost every aspect of the show, she still chooses to come to your aid when your life is in danger. Raven in Rwby is an awful person, she tried to manipulate you and shows indifference towards your wellbeing in multiple instances, but that is terribly inconsistent with the way she shows up to protect you from danger. Basically, in a long-winded way I’m just tryna tell you that Rwby’s writing is fucking terrible, and it’s something that I’ve noticed a ton since I’ve arrived in Remnant, and I believe that this applies especially to your situation. I think that Raven loves you more than you know and is stricken with guilt at the fact that she left you and never came back, but I believe that she’s too scared to approach you about it because she’s afraid that you’ll reject her for what she did to you. All of that is just a hunch though so take it with a grain of salt.”

After Yang finished absorbing all the information that (Y/N) provided her, a nervous smile found its way to her lips. “Honestly, I’m kinda scared now, I don’t know. I really wanna confront her, but for the first time I think I’m actually thinking about what she might respond with. What if she tells me that she really didn’t want me, you know? What if your wrong and in this world, she actually doesn’t care about me?”

“Well, regardless of what happens with Raven, you’ll always have me, because I will always have your back, I promise I will never leave you and I’ll always love you. And as a plus we could jump her ass, fuck her up really bad before we leave, only if that would make you feel better though.”

Yang’s nervous smile gradually shifted in a mischievous one as she closed the distance between their faces, “really? I have you?”

“mmhhmm, you’ll always have me” he whispered back, bringing their faces centimeters from one another. With every exhale (Y/N) could feel Yang’s warm breath brush up against his lips, and with every passing instant the pair’s lips grew closer to one another other.

Yang only slightly parted her lips to whisper, “kiss me.” In that instant, their lips met in a softy kiss that brought a loving haze to Yang’s mind, giving her a sense of true joy as her lips were kissed, parted, and sucked on by the man she loved. The soft, chaste kiss quickly turned erotic as Yang felt a slippery tongue slip past her lips and began exploring her sensitive mouth as she happily sucked on it with her own oral appendage. After Yang was finished sucking and drinking the substance that was given to her by (Y/N), she pushed his tongue from her lips and began nibbling on the one she love’s lips before forcing her tongue into his mouth to continue the make out. Eventually, the duo broke the kiss together, popping their lips apart as they caught their breaths from the erotic exchange. “I feel much better now” Yang said happily as she brought her arms around him.

“That’s good, I think I feel much better now to” he responded with a smile.

“So, I guess now we wait for an opportunity to go find mom and then everything will be goof then, isn’t that, right?”

(Y/N) thought about it for a moment and said, “well, we don’t really have to wait too long.” That comment got Yang’s full attention as she looked quizzically at (Y/N), and he swiftly continued with, “I was going to tell you later, but I guess now is as good a time as any. Sometime at the End of Heat (August) I’ll be going to Mistral to go to this meeting that I need to be in attendance for, but I thought that you might like to go as well, and then we could go search for your mother together. Do you wanna?”

“Fuck yeah!” Yang excitedly responded, jumping up into his arms and giving him a rough kiss on the lips, and following the release of the quick kiss she said, “I love you so much!”

“I love you too!” The duo shared a few more kisses and spent a bit more time enjoying the night sky before they turned in for the day, heading back to the room and finishing up there discussion. It was then that Yang said that she didn’t feel like she could officially join the relationship until she resolved things with her mother, but she still wanted to hang out, sleep, and ‘have fun’ with them until that day, and (Y/N) was very supportive and understand of her decision. Although in his mind (Y/N) thought, “that’s pretty much everything that comes with being a lover minus the title, but I guess the title is what makes it hard for her to commit.” As they made it back to the room, Yang made it a point to make sure (Y/N) knew to tell no one that she was crying, but the instant they entered the room Ruby pointed out that it looked like Yang had been crying, resulting in the girl getting a fist to the mouth.

The following day it was finally time for everyone to learn everything, and (Y/N) made a quick Scroll call to Ozpin to make sure he was ready to reveal everything in order to catch everyone up on everything. Soon after the call, the massive group of lovers, with Yang, walked there way through the school, catching everyone’s eyes as they passed, towards the special glass room that would send them up to the watchtower. As they reached the desk, half of them went to the left doors while the other half went right, entering the elevator doors, and waiting patiently as they rose up to the highest point in Beacon.

Ozpin watched from his seat at his desk as both elevator doors dinged simultaneously, slowly opening to reveal the mass of students and administrators that he’d be relieving his darkest secrets to at the behest of his future telling ally. Speaking of which, it was (Y/N) who was the first one to step out onto the soft green carpet as he walked up to the thousand-year-old headmaster and whispered, “thanks for doing this, I know it’s not easy to willingly tell and trust this many people with your secret,” he said as he shook his hand.

The Headmaster responded with, “I won’t lie to you, I still feel in my heart of hearts that a group this large knowing of the imminent threat that we face will bring catastrophe to your plan’s structure, but I know that I am not taking lead here. I told you that I would adhere to your wishes as long as they result in a better world and I am not going to break that oath over anything, especially not this. If you believe them to be trustworthy individuals, then I feel more than inclined to believe you.” Ozpin then broke the handshake with a small smile before sitting back down in his chair and taking a small sip of his endless cup of coffee.

“Thanks anyway Ozpin” (Y/N) said before turning his attention to the women that were funneling into the office, watching as Ruby and the Malachite twins looked around the office in wonder. For most of the women, this wasn’t there first time meeting the Headmaster or being in his Office. The only ones that hadn’t been in Ozpin’s office for any reason were Ruby and Yang, and they had varying reactions when it came to officially meeting the Headmaster, at first Yang was very stand offish, quietly analyzing her surroundings while she waited for the talks to begin, Ruby on the other hand was running around the room while she stared at the carpet and shoving her face up against the glass window as she tried to look past the clouds.

The Headmaster of Beacon found Ruby’s expression amusing, if not a little nostalgic, and he took the moment to get up from the chair and meet her at the window, “it is very nice to meet you Miss Ruby Rose,” he said as he reached out his hand for a shake.

“Oh yeah, nice to meet you too! I’m Ruby Rose! Oh wait, you already knew that hehe” she responded as she rapidly shook the man’s hand.

Ozpin chuckled slightly at her antics before saying, “you look very much like your mother, it seems you even have the same eyes as well. I’m so very sorry for your loss, she was an amazing Huntress and I’m sure that she would’ve been an even better Mother.” From across the room, (Y/N)’s ears twitched slightly as he received the information from what Ozpin said, understanding the implications of the comment.

“I guess Ozpin thinks Summer Rose is dead as well, but that doesn’t mean he has no knowledge of her supposed cause of death. I guess I should ask him about that later” the Faunus man thought as he ushered everyone into the office.

The Headmaster’s comment seemed to surprise Ruby slightly as she said, “wait you knew my mom!? Duh, of course you knew my mom you’re the headmaster, stupid Ruby. Do you think my mom is dead too? (Y/N) said that he doesn’t think that my mom is dead! Oh yeah, (Y/N) told me my mom had my eyes too! I mean, that I had my moms eyes too. Wait, that doesn’t sound right either…” as Ruby continued on trying to find the proper way to word what she was trying to explain, Ozpin receded slightly into his mind as he began to think.

“Huh? (Y/N) doesn’t believe that Summer is dead? Could he have some knowledge about Summer’s whereabouts? I must ask him about that whenever I get the opportunity. And it seems (Y/N) knows about the Silver Eyes as well, I guess there really is no limit to his knowledge of things on Remnant after all. Well Ruby,” he said to break her out of her mumbles, “how about you tell everyone that we are about to get started, I could use your help in getting everyone in order.”

“OK!” As Ruby ran to the large group of women to tell them that Ozpin was about to start talking, the Headmaster turned to the group at the same time that (Y/N) turned to face him, having their eyes meet for a moment where they each nodded slightly and communicating that they needed to talk. It only took a moment for everyone in the room to find there place as they waited for the talks to start, (Y/N) and Ozpin chose to stand side by side at the window, facing inside the office to face everyone else. The women however spread out in various ways, with Ruby and the red and blue twins sitting on the carpet in front of (Y/N), Neyah, Neo, Yang, and Blake sitting on top of Ozpins desk, much to his chagrin, and everyone else standing around next to one another.

As the room fell silent, the Headmaster cleared his throat slightly before saying, “first off, I would like to say it is nice to meet you Miss Yang Xiao Long, my name is Ozpin, but as you all will soon learn that is not the only name I have gone by. I’m sure that you all have been debriefed by (Y/N) before you came here today, but if not allow me to summarize the subject of todays discussion. The past, the present, and the future of Remnant and the danger that we face in keeping our world safe” he stated, giving the group a moment to let the words sink in before continuing. “Now with that being said, allow me to ask you all a simple question. Do any of you have a favorite Fairy Tale?”

Glynda had received this talk once before, learning of the 4 maidens and the threats that may come in attempt to take that power from them, however what she didn’t expect to hear was the story immediately following it. Ozpin explained to the group how the world came about, the two brother Gods and there creation, then going to his origin story with Salem, and ending his explanation of how the Relics came about. He told the group that Salem is the cause of all of the Grimm in the world and that she is looking for the four Relics in order to end her own torturous existence, but that would also destroy everyone in the world as well. Before he handed the floor back to (Y/N), he finished with, “I have been trying my best to protect the world against Salem for thousands of years and I’ve been successful up to this point, but all that is doing is delaying the inevitable. As far as I know Salem is completely immortal and cannot die from any attack that anyone throws at her, that is why she wishes for death so much, but (Y/N) is confident that he can stop her for good, so I am trusting in him. A storm is brewing beyond the horizon and (Y/N) says he knows what is to come, so I’ll leave it to him to explain that portion of this little lecture.”

The Faunus man that had been mentioned then took a small step forward and said, “You all already know why I know some shit is about to go down, so we’ll skip over the why part for now, that’s for me and Ozpin to talk about later, so lets focus on the main bit. As in any good cartoon bad shit happens so that the good guys can overcome that bad shit, but sometimes the good guys can’t overcome that bad shit, or it comes at too great of a cost. I’m sure most of you know what I mean when I say this but if not, allow me to make it plain. In Rwby Beacon gets destroyed and it’s overrun by Grimm, and even worse than that some people lose their limbs and someone people lose their lives” he said, being careful to not give away who. “Now, I am going to make sure that none of that happens, but I still need all of your help to make sure that doesn’t happen. I know I’m being really vague right now but just bear with me for a moment, let me explain the general idea of what needs to be accomplished between now and whenever this invasion happens.”

(Y/N) understood how much he was putting on the women’s minds, not only did he tell them about a world consuming threat that was bound to come regardless of their inputs, but Ozpin also just revealed the threat to all of the worlds existence that was more immediate and real than the coming Animus. However, even though they just dropped two massive bombshells on their heads, they were taking the information greatly. It could’ve been because of the shock or because the threats did quite feel real yet, but either way they were handling the entire situation extremely well. Although (Y/N) was explaining the crux of his idea of how to stop the invading force, the only thing that he really needed from the majority of his Lovers were for them to get stronger, everything else he figured that he’d handle behind the scenes. Ozpin seemed to understand the same thing, cooperating (Y/N)’s idea of making sure that the students were as powerful as they could become to ensure the school and cities safety upon the Grimm invasion.

The long discussion slowly came to an end and after (Y/N) and the Headmaster finished answering all of the women’s questions, they slowly, gradually made their ways towards the elevator doors, getting in the open doors, and leaving Ozpin and their male lover alone in the office together. The two men sat in silence for a moment before (Y/N) turned to the Headmaster and asked, “what happened to Summer Rose?” The sudden question caught the man a little off guard, but (Y/N) softened the blow with, “I mean I know that she ‘died’,” he began, adding air quotes to Summer’s supposed death, “but how did it happen? I’ve heard that it was just on some random Grimm clean up mission, but that doesn’t really sound correct to me.”

The Headmaster took a slight pause before he started with, “Summer was an excellent Huntress even among the powerful members of Team STRQ, but above that she was loyal and trustworthy. When I told her about Salem and all of the nonsense that came with it, she was extremely gung-ho about helping and even after she had Ruby, she still wanted to assist in anyway she could. At some point during Ruby’s early years, I had gotten word that a former ally of mine had betrayed me and turned to Salem out of fear, which wasn’t out of the ordinary. After approaching him about the topic, he played innocent, but after searching his study I found that he was planning a meeting with Salem, possibly going to discuss future plans or rendezvous with her in some way. It was my first real lead in what felt like centuries, so I immediately tried to contact STRQ to give them the mission to tail him, learn whatever they could during the exchange. Qrow said he was busy with ‘stuff’ which meant no, Raven had already gone ghost so I couldn’t get a hold of her, and Summer and Taiyang offered to help but they still had Ruby and Yang to worry about, so Summer chose to go alone. I told her that the lead wasn’t worth the danger, but she was stubborn and adamant that she’d not only be okay, but she’d return with the best news possible. Her smile was infectious, and her confidence was more than persuasive, so I sent her on a mission that I knew she wouldn’t return from. She had done miraculous things before, so I thought that maybe she would do them again, but…” he said as he turned to the sky, “but she never came back.”

The two of them sat in silence for a while, a mutual moment of silence for the absence of the Super Mom that tried her best to raise both Ruby and Yang and sacrificed everything for the cause. However, after that moment of silence left, (Y/N) asked, “so, did you ever find her body or anything of that nature?”

Ozpin picked up what (Y/N) was putting down, saying, “no, officially she’s missing, disappearing off the face of the planet after the meeting, but the chances of her being alive are infinitesimal.”

“she’s done miraculous things before, shit, maybe she’ll do em again” the Faunus said with a smile, getting a small chuckle from the Headmaster.

“Just maybe, but we can only hope that she’s out there somewhere. However, hoping will get us nowhere if we don’t do anything about it right now, so I ask, how are things on your end advancing thus far?”

“Everything is going as smooth as I thought it might, the Demon Clan just recently killed 3 Goliath’s yesterday, so pretty soon the Grimm beyond the southern wall will be no more. The more they fight, the stronger they’ll get, that means that we could be seeing all of mount Glenn being cleared in a few months. That means no Grimm to storm the city even if the wall falls, step 1 is lookin pretty much complete, and everything else is getting set up smoothly as well. How are things going on your end?”

“Well, about as poorly as I expected them too,” he said with a small smirk, “Qrow said he’ll get here when he finishes up whatever he’s doing, Taiyang is retired but I didn’t think you’d want me to get him involved anyway, and Raven is still a ghost as I have no clue where she is. Other than that, Lionheart is out of the loop and won’t admit to knowing anything about Salem, and Amber the Fall Maiden is still comatose. Thank you for trying to use your power to assist her, but its no use, either we get her maiden powers back somehow or transfer them to someone else.” (Y/N) was brought down to the underground bunker with Ozpin to see the Maiden and he attempted to somehow heal her with one of his skills, but neither of them worked.

“I want to save the later option as a last resort and right now I may have an idea on how we can transfer the power to someone else safely, but that is another topic that we’ll have to address on a later date. I’ll take care of getting Raven here so don’t worry about that, for now just carry one as per usual and we’ll just have to hope that everything else falls into place or we may have to act a bit sooner than expected” the Faunus said as he headed towards the elevators.

Ozpin then went back to his desk, sitting in his chair, and taking a sip of his coffee before saying, “Understood Mr. (Y/N). I hope I’ll be talking with you again soon with some good news.” (Y/N) waved a simple goodbye to the Headmaster before he entered the elevator and walked back to his room that was inevitably going to be filled to the brim with lovely, beautiful women.

As he walked through the quiet halls of the school, he found himself wondering, “how strong do the girls need to be in order to easily deal with the upcoming threats? Rwby’s power scaling is all over the fucking place and it’s kinda hard to tell whether or not the real versions of them are stronger or weaker then their CGI counter-parts. Shit, I don’t even really know how stronger they can get, or how to help them increase their strength at a reasonable pace. Maybe I can find a way to teach them how to use Mana or something.”

[Partner!]

“Yeah Meta, whats up?”

[Do you remember when Meta told you that Meta did something that you’d be happy to hear about? Hint: It was right after you finished killing Roman Torchwick and completed the ‘Conquering Vale’s Underworld’ Quest!]

“Yeah, I definitely remember that. Why are you bringing it up now though?”

[Meta thinks now it is the best time to surprise (Y/N) with this information! Surprise!]

In that moment, Meta opened up the Clan Creator menu in (Y/N)’s mind, clicking on the Lovers Clan instead of the Demon Clan below it and showing him what Meta was doing all this time. Once (Y/N) ‘saw’ what Meta he had done stopped dead in his tracks, eyes widening in pleasant shock at the surprise that Meta left for him. Firstly, the Lover clan had grown a ton, it was still the same layout as before with only a single category titled ‘Lovers’, but the number of people in that category had grown. It was now, Nix, Neyah, Pyrrha, Scarlet, Glynda, Weiss, Willow, Winter, Blake, Ruby, and Yang, with Mil, Mel, and Neo still stuck in the Demon Clan as they joined that before they were his official lovers. He figured that Yang being a lover in all but title made the System identify her as a Lover regardless, but that wasn’t the thing that shocked him so much. Atop the visual gallery of the members of the Lover’s Clan was a bolded message that read ‘Consumable Experience’ and directly in front of those words was a very large number. “498,803 Exp! Holy fucking shit Meta, what did you do!?!?!”

[Meta noticed that each of the Created Clan’s function independent one another! So, while you gained 100% of the experience from the Demon Clan, Meta gave 50% of your Experience to the Lover Clan without penalty and stored it rather than use it! Meta had been doing this ever since you gained Clan Creator! 50% of all of the Experience that you have gained since then has been allocated to your Lovers so you may level them up at your discretion! Surprise!]

“I love you so much Meta! I really don’t give you enough credit for all the shit that you do, Imma give you a trillion mental kisses and hugs, if only I could give you some real ones to show you how much I appreciate you.”

[Meta Loves you too! Meta also appreciates the sentiment!]

As (Y/N) thought about the current situation further, he figured that it would be better for the rest of the lovers if he were to keep saving this experience up for a rainy day. He could see that training for them had more effects than just leveling up, they all also managed to grow their growth rates as well and if vigorous training was harder to come by because they were too high of a level, then they’d possibly miss out on growth rate increases which would be detrimental later down the road. So, instead of dumping all the Experience now, he chose to save the loot for later so he could boost their strengths when it truly mattered, and with that thought in mind he confidently walked back to his temporary room where all of his lovers would be waiting for him.

…………………..

Willow and Winter were only able to extend their vacation for so long and once the time came for them to leave, they had a somber send off, they all gave each other deep hugs and loving kisses before the two women walked up the ramp and flew off towards Atlas with a stowaway on board. Before Willow and Winter were set to leave, (Y/N) asked them to take his clone with them again and they quickly accepted although they were a bit skeptical about whether or not he'd be caught on board. However, their lover knew that it would turn out just fine since his Call-Off was taking the time to thoroughly analyze the airship and stealing some Atlas uniforms while they were watching the Summer Tournament matches, so he was able to safely travel, unseen, with the duo back to Atlas. This time, the clone was determined to enter the manor by any means, no longer caring about remaining completely discrete since Willow’s safety was at risk this time around. Once they were over the air of the massive Manor’s property, (Y/N) stared daggers into his mental map as he tried to locate a Dungeon on the property, and luckily enough he found one. The rest of the process was simple, he teleported out of the plan which immediately alerted the security as they saw the streak in the sky that could be a threat to the Schnee’s safety, but once they reached the spot that they believed the object would’ve landed they found nothing. They found nothing because before (Y/N) even landed on the ground he had entered the dungeon, making him completely invisible to the outside word.

Once inside he applied the Atlas Military appearance and exited the Dungeon, sneaking his way close enough to the central building, that acted as the Schnee Mansion, that he could teleport inside, from there it was as simple as tracking Winter and Willow’s points on his mental map and following them to their rooms. After he managed to sneak his way into the women’s secluded rooms, he hunkered down for the rest of the day, only exiting at night to clear the single dungeon that was close by before returning quickly to sleep by Willow’s side, watching over her while she slept.

For (Y/N) and the rest of the Lovers, the weeks practically flew by as they spent the time relaxing and enjoying one another’s presence before the start of the semester. Everyday was spent in each other’s company and every night (Y/N) spent asleep at Neo and Glynda’s behest, finally having the time to truly rest as his major jobs were finished for the time being. However, his time to rest and ban from training was lifted quickly as the morning of the tenth of Heat (August) was quickly upon them, and Glynda forced her love awake as the group rushed to shower and dress in their pristine uniforms before heading to the Amphitheater. Instead of dressing in the usual manner, (Y/N) asked Meta to apply the Beacon Uniform appearance to him, Byakko, and Lilith which Meta happily did so, dressing them instantly much to the irritation of all the other women who had to actually get ready.

Once everyone was prepped, they exited the small temp room together, coming face to face with Yang and Ruby who had slept separate from the lovers that night, and heading all together for the cafeteria so they could get a mobile snack before heading towards the Amphitheater that Glynda was supposedly already supposed to be at As the group of lovers walked towards the large food court, the Faunus man said, “wow Mrs. Goodwitch, I think that you are setting a less than stellar example for this year’s incoming students by being late to the day one Ceremony. Don’t you think so to Yang?” (Y/N) had been teasing the women all morning for her slip up, choosing to bring Yang in on the joke since she had always been really good on the pickup.

“Oh yeah, Mrs. Head-Professor Goodwitch, I believed that punctuality was essential to being a great Huntsman” Yang jokingly said, pouring salt in the professors wound.

It didn’t take long for the joke to get old as the Disciplinarian pulled her riding crop from underneath her pencil skirt and slapped the both of them on the head. “Shut up you lousy delinquents! I will take responsibility for waking up late for such an important event, but this is why I choose to sleep away from you” she explained as her riding crop was plastered on (Y/N)’s forehead, “when I have things that I need to attend to. This is all your fault my love” she said callously, adjusting her glasses before slapping him once more on the forehead. “Now, I will be taking my leave, do not show up any later than you already are, or I will be forced to punish you all!”

“Yes ma’am/Yes ma’am!” Glynda’s command was not missed by anyone in the group, and they watched as the beautiful head professor covered herself in purple Aura, float high above the ground, and rocket herself out of the Hope Building, to the Amphitheater.

Before anyone was able to grab the things that they wanted, Scarlet said, “unfortunately I’m going to have to make my exit as well, I have some Administrative work that needs to be attended to. Have fun at your Ceremony my Honeys, bye bye!” Before leaving she took the time to give everyone a quick peck on the lips, and she then took off, lightly jogging her way through the halls of the school on her way to do her job. The remaining group of Lovers quickly grabbed whatever they could get their hands on before they began jogging leisurely out of the Hope Building and towards the large building directly next to the largest building on the campus. Like the Battle Arena, the Amphitheater was very large and looked stadium like in structure, however the difference between the two was their design and presentation. The Amphitheater had clear class to its infrastructure, emblems of all kinds were carved into its structure, statues of hero’s lined the walkway to the large building, and two large wooden doors were the only way in from this side.

Walking up to the building, it was very clear that they were late since the pathway leading up to the building that every student was supposed to be attending was completely barren, which wasn’t a very good sign. The group of lovers then picked up their pace a bit, quickly walking through the open doors, navigating through the halls, and loudly opening the door that led into the auditorium. The loud creaking of the door echoed throughout the silent stadium, the distracting sound stopping the Headmaster mid-sentence, and turning the tens of thousands of students eyes beaming on the disruptive group of gorgeous women and an extraordinary Faunus Adonis. “How nice of you all to finally join us all for the Opening Ceremony” Ozpin began sarcastically, his words creating a chuckle throughout the crowd of students. (Y/N) looked up on the stage to see Ozpin at the center of attention with a mic in front of him, Glynda to his left standing a single step behind him, and Scarlet in her tight red dress standing to his right, giving her Honey a small wave as she saw them appear.

“You’re all late” Glynda added matter-of-factly, slightly adjusting her glasses as she said so.

(Y/N) then decided to shout, “you were late to!”

Instead of the brutal assault that the crowd expected Glynda to retaliate with, the Disciplinarian simply responded with, “I don’t know what your talking about, as the head professor here at Beacon I need to set a stellar example of what it means to be a Huntsman and punctuality is essential to becoming a great Huntsman, as such I would never be late to such an important matter. Now, my love and the rest of you lovely’s, please make your way to the stage please, we do not have much time to waste.” The students in the crowd were shocked, not only had THE Professor Goodwitch not blown up at the blatant disrespect caused by the Faunus student and they swore they could’ve seen a slight smirk making it’s way across her lips, but the so-called cold-hearted professor even used such an endearing term to address him. They didn’t know what to think, so they simply watched as the long line of women led by the Adonis walked up onto the stage, lining up beside one another just behind Miss Goodwitch and Headmaster Ozpin.

The Headmaster cleared his throat loudly to regain the attention of the students before starting, “as I was saying before, you all have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft, to acquire new skills, and once you are finished, dedicate your life to the protection of the people in this world who are unable to protect themselves. However, there are those among you that have come here because of insatiable greed, lust for power, inflated pride, and numerous other selfish reasons that I need not name for the sake of time. To those of you who think this way, to those of you who have come thinking that you may have your desires of fame and fortune met, know that in you I see nothing but a sad soul. I see in you nothing but a waste of time, energy, and a heart that could’ve have been spent on someone more worthy than yourself. You know who you are, and I know what will become of you, those who come to Beacon to gain will only loose, but those who come to sacrifice will achieve greatness.”

Ozpin paused for a moment to allow his words to sink into the young crowd before continuing with, “at Beacon we only accept the strongest and the brightest of those who believe they can lead this world to a brighter future, but even among the strong there are the strongest and even among the bright there are those that shin the brightest. The students that stand behind me today are the ones who will be leading this world to its brightest days! These students are not only the strongest and the brightest among you, but they are also the kindest and most selfless as well! These are the few that would gladly give up their lives in the line of duty just for the miniscule chance that the ones they sacrificed for may see a better future than them!” The crowd erupted in a round of applause that quieted the Headmaster for a moment before her was able to begin again. “From D-Rank to S-Rank, all of you are the same, you all are Huntsman at heart, and those that you see up here today are the ones that you must look up to not only as your peers, not only as your leaders, but also as your Beacons Of Hope!”

While the students in the crowd were lit of fire with Ozpin’s speech, he took a small step back to allow Glynda to take his spot, but before she said anything, she whispered to her lovers, “step forward when your name is called.” Giving them the stage directions without anyone else knowing, Glynda then whipped The Disciplinarian against the air, whipping the surrounding air in a whirlwind that silenced the crowd almost immediately, “the following students are your Beacons not only for the next four years, but as you will soon see, they will be the Beacons that we all look up to for hope for the rest of our lives.” Glynda then paused for a moment before glancing back to make sure her lovely’s were prepared before beginning the announcements. “Miltia and Melanie Malachite for the incredible love and loyalty you both showed towards your peers and the lengths you will go to ensure the safety of those important to you.” The twins stepped forward and basked in the praise of the students that had no prior knowledge of their existence, flashing poses as they enjoyed the limelight. “Blake Belladonna for the sacrifices you have made just to be given an opportunity to make the world a better place and the strength you showed in making those sacrifices.” Blake was met with a resounding applause from the crowd, some even standing on their feet and whistling to show their appreciation for the Faunus.

“Weiss Schnee, not only for the incredible strength, determination, and resilience you showed during the Summer Tournament, but also the compassion you showed your companions and your willingness to change when you make a mistake.” Weiss got the cordial applause and cheers expected from a Schnee, loud clapping and light cheers, but no over exaggerated yells or motions that could be seen as disrespectful. “Neapolitan Ice-Cream, for the immense bravery you showed in the face of the enemy and your willingness to stay beside your companions through thick and thin.” The adorable Neo got more praise than even the beautiful twins, but just like them she chose to put up a few piece signs and posed a bunch for them. “Yang Xiao Long, for the strength and power you showed in the Summer Tournament and your determination to ensure the safety of your companions even amongst intense scenarios. Ruby Rose for your incredible heart and compassion for all living things, but also your willingness to work hard to achieve a world where we may all live in peace.” The two-sister received lots of shouts, cheers, and praise which Yang completely ignored, but Ruby on the other hand tried her best to respond to every shout, every wave, and every cheer, which increased her popularity amongst the audience.

“Pyrrha Nikos” before Glynda could even continue speaking the students were already on their feet, shouting and applauding, but instead of shutting them up Glynda simply kept talking over them, “for embodying everything it means to be a true Huntress.” Pyrrha simply bowed to the cheering crowd, humbly accepting their praises in the process. “Neyah and Nieva Panthera” this time it was impossible to even get a word out after the announcement, the audience was on their feet completely, screaming their lungs out like this wasn’t a ceremony and instead they were back in the Summer Tournament. Glynda was forced to crack her riding crop to calm the crowd down, and in the process, she clearly lost her cool and simply said, “everyone knows why the both of you are here.”

Glynda took a moment to calm herself down and also allow the audience of students to calm their cheers before she began again. “Last but far from least, these three individuals have done and will do more for this world than anyone will ever know, and it is because of this that they are the ones you must look up towards as they lead us all to a bright future. Lilith, Byakko, and (Y/N) (L/N), for not only all the things you have done to protect this world and your companions, but all of the things that you are sure to do in the future to allow us all to live in peace.” The crowd was stunned for more reason than one, the first reason was the two unique women that stood on the sides of the Faunus man, the second was the extreme reasoning that they were chosen as the central Beacons for the class to look up too, and the final reason was the fact that Glynda’s stern, almost harsh, tone of voice completely disappeared once she said the man’s name. Glynda was no longer looking at the crowd at all, instead as she explained their reasoning, she looked dead into the eyes of the one she was speaking about, and it was clear to the crowd that those words were more than personal. The silence in the stunned crowd didn’t last long as one clap became two, and eventually an excited round of applause was converted into a generous shout of praise that was directed not only at the Faunus man himself, but also the two brave women that stood beside him.

As Glynda finished her portion of the ceremony, she took another small step back to free up the mic for Ozpin to take back over, and once the Headmaster got back on the microphone, he gave the audience a moment to calm their cheers and applause before he cleared his throat to silence them. “There isn’t much left you be said, so I’ll keep this brief. You all have gone through great hoops of hardship to get here today, and for some of you this may be a moment that you have been waiting ages for, and it may even feel like you have finally reached the end! However, that is the wrong thought process to have, for this is only the beginning, and with being said, there is only one real thing that I must tell you before you begin your amazing journey to becoming a Huntsman.” Ozpin paused for what felt like an eternity and silence emanated through the entire crowd as they waited for the final line from the Headmaster, and after that long silence Headmaster Ozpin stood up straight, put on a bright smile, and said, “Welcome to Beacon Academy!”
