Nugget had her eyes closed. Her head was resting to her side, against Bakade's gaunt stomach.
Bakade looked down at Nugget, and then up at the devastated environment around them. She scratched her skeletal chin.
"Uuuuuhhhhh," she murmured as there was nothing but destruction all around them.
She looked down at Nugget again, and then sighed. "Iiiiisss ttthhheeerreee eeevvveeennnn aaaa wwwwaaaayyyyy oooouuutttt aaaannnnnyyymmmmoooorrrreeee?"
Nugget stirred in her arm. But it wasn't to leave, she just seemed to nestle closer. With her eyes still closed and seemingly being fast asleep.
Bakade patted the top of the hen's head with her free hand. "Ggguuueeesss IIIIII'lll jjjuuusssttt pppiiiccckkk aaaa dddiiirrreeeeccctttiiioooonn."
Bakade took a single step forward.
BOOM!
Behind her was a large muffled explosion that seemed to come from underground. She glanced back, and the flames of her eyes shrunk into small, focused fire as she stared into the ground.
For a moment in time she was frozen, as still as a statue. Then, her eyes grew larger again and she turned away.
She took another step away. Then another, and another. She got faster and faster. Then she was sprinting as fast as the wind through the trees. Dashing forward as she kept Nugget safely tucked against her.
"Tsk. You actually think whatever this is, that it's enough?" The scientist scoffed. "You're still nothing compared to me. To my technology. To my drive! Never forget I have the greatest reason driving me. While you? You're just a mindless beast. Nothing but a fleshy sack of electrical impulses driving you."
The wolf didn't reply. But, not only was his mouth filled with the giant sword, ice seemed to have grown past the sword itself and encased most of his muzzle in it. He didn't seem to pay any attention to the words of the scientist, as the three legged wolf stared down the giant robot with his one eye.

He crouched down and then leaped towards the machine. He twisted his head to the side, and aimed the sword to pierce through his opponent.
The robot's swarm of arms moved in front of it to create a pseudo shield, but as the wolf got closer, something got in the way. His sword was almost completely blocked, but managed to just barely pierce into it.
"Waaaaa!" Cried Og'drimun. "We're under attack! Quick, turn into Pockets! We need new weapons!"
"How many times do I ha..." Lulu paused and then smirked. All while the tip of an icy sword was inches from her skull. "What I mean is with the right compensation, I'm sure I could change just like that."
"Whatever you need!" Og'drimun cried. "She'll pay it."
"Excuse me?" Narissa scoffed.
"Could we maybe worry about that later?" Ted suggested. "And focus on figuring out what exactly is...whaaa!"
The fleshy room shook violently as the sword tip retreated. Outside, the wolf eyed the new object cautiously before he backed away a little.
"Hah! Where is your bravado now?" The scientist mocked.
In the flesh walled room, Sid perked up. "That voice," he stated in disbelief. "Curious..."
WHAM!
The room fell to the floor as black smoke spilled out of the fresh hole in the flesh wall. The people inside had been shaken around as Og'drimun continued to complain about his lack of funds, and their lack of weapons.
Hey, I got my scythe at least. Death interjected as he picked up his skull from the ground. But man, if only I had a skateboard. I'd totally have been able to tear through all those flying monsters. Oh, and you would've seen such impressive moves over that water. It would've been sick!

"Look, we just got stabbed, could you..." as Ted started to talk, Sid put a finger against his lips. Then he held up his other finger and motioned for the others to be quiet.
Huh? What are you trying to say? I can't hear you. Death said.
The mostly dried off Sentenza slipped quietly next to the door. He and Sid looked at each other and nodded at one another. Sentenza put his hat on the end of his gun and slowly moved it outside of the room. But nothing happened.
BOOM!
The very ground beneath them shook. As it did, Sid and Sentenza rushed out as Sentenza put his hat back on his head. Outside they saw the wolf with his sword pressing against hundreds of frozen spike arms that protected the giant robot's main body.
Sentenza raise his gun to the air as he ducked his head back into the room. "I thought we were shooting for the girls, not a fight between monsters."
Narissa was prodding the fresh wound in the room's wall. "Yep. And this is it."
"What, they're in that thing?" Sentenza asked.
"I haven't seen anything outside this room," Narissa answered. "And I can't, since whoever did this made everything holding this thing together go haywire."
Narissa pulled her hand back quickly as a flash of light sparkled near the hole where her finger was. "I'm afraid you'll have to hoof it from here while I fix this...that is, if you ever want to actually get out of here."
Sid was staring at the robot. His eyes seemed to be soaking in all the information they could. Sentenza scratched his throat as he looked around at everyone in the room.
"Well," Sentenza muttered. "Guess we better figure this out then. Come on out anyone who thinks they can help."
BOOM!
Wind rushed past them as the massive machine was knocked past them and into another wall. The wolf landed a few feet from Sid. Without a noise, he stared up at the formerly mechanical man. Sid's eyes slowly moved from the robot to the wold.
BANG!
Sentenza shot at the wolf, but as soon as he fired, the beast leaped away.
"What are you doing!" Ted cried as he saw a cautious wolf turned into for sure an enemy.
"You could see it in the beasts eye. He was about to pounce," Sentenza grunted as his eyes searched for the wolf.
Og'drimun shivered. "Yeah, that thing's spirit was bloodied than demons I know that only survive off of blood sacrifices. Seriously scary."
