I've found myself staring off into space

Some feelings I'm trying to erase

I want to get out of reality

Create a world in my mind where I could be happy

I create things about me and you

Moments I wish could become true

I know it's not real

But living in my mind gives me something to feel

The thoughts keep me from sleeping

My brain is active, always running

Sometimes I wish I could shut it off

But different stories, it's all I think of

I zone out a lot more often

Because I just want to feel something

Maybe it's been too much as of late

But all I want is to escape
