《The Parasite in Cultivator World》Lyric Degression 1

Jay Vi, the Elder who is responsible for Exam, was sitting in his room and reading documents which he received from Inner Disciples. All those documents were about the QI Formation students of the Dark Sky sect. He was responsible for gathering statistics about the students and making reports to the Patriarch of Dark Sky sect. In those reports, Jay Vi was sharing information about how many new cultivators were accepted by the sect, how many have broken through from one level to another, and how much resources they have to support the cultivation of QI Formation students. The last, but not least was to find prodigies among QI Formation cultivators and report about them to Dark Sky Elders.
Before Jay Vi was assigned to this role nobody was doing such reporting. Elders didn’t care about students, everything they cared about was resources and best cultivators who were showing themselves during tournaments. And that was one of the main reasons why the Sect War happened 100 years ago. Elders wanted to have more resources and they didn’t care about the life of the QI Formation Cultivators. And only due to the fact that the current Sect Leader broke through to the QI Synergy realm he was able to take upper hand during that war. And not only defend the whole sect, but as well gain the control across the crystal mine and half of the Dark Wood forest. Due to his power he was assigned as a new Patriarch of the Dark Sky sect. And from that moment many changes have happened.
Many bad things were discovered during the first year. There were many confrontations between QI Formation students for the resources. Many promising cultivators were killed or cripled by the gangs which were at that time in the Sect. Elders didn’t look into the problems of the students and even were mocking them. According to the Jay Vi knowledge during 100 years before the war no new Inner Disciple appeared. Which only showed how bad conditions were at that moment. Probably if the current Sect Leader didn’t obtain his position hundred years ago, the Dark Sky sect wouldn’t exist anymore.
Due to this many Dark Sky Elders were punished or even killed by the Sect Leader depending on the severity of their crimes. And during that time Sect needed new Elders who could be trusted. And one of them was Jay Vi who was at that moment an Inner Disciple at level 8 QI Subdual Realm. He was not the strongest among the Inner Disciple, however, he was kind to all people in the sect and he always tried to help all cultivators who asked him for help. Due to this Sect Leader assigned him for that position while he wanted to be sure that QI Formation students are in good hands. And as time has shown the Jat Vi was the best candidate for this.

Jay Vi was checking the report which he should send today to the Sect Leader. According to the report, in the last 100 years, the number of QI Formation students has increased 3 times, while the number of cultivators above level 5 has increased 7 times. And during those 100 years he was able to grow 15 QI Subdula disciples. It was mostly due to the fact that 100 years ago all disciples above level 5 were very strong while they were getting most resources. Due to this with proper training 8 of them were able to break through to the QI Subdual realm. While during the last 100 years there were only 7 more students who were able to break through to the QI Subdual realm. But if somebody would look into the breakdown by years, they would see that in the first 60 years there were only 3 students who achieved QI Subduel realm, but in the last 40 years they obtained additional 4 disciples in QI Subduel realm. Which was showing a positive trend. Additionally there were 2 disciples who reached level 9 not so long ago and, thus, became inner disciples. Those were Ni Lin and Si Dju who received high prizes during the tournament and due to this were able to break through with help of those.
To become an inner disciple it was required to get to level 9 QI Formation level. And from that point Sect was helping such disciples to get to QI Subdual realm within 5 years. Sect has one technique which has a 90% chance that a disciple who is on the last level of QI Formation would break through to QI Subdual realm. And that technique was created by one of the Elders of Dark Sky. That Elder was making cruel experiments on disciples to obtain more power and as part of them he accidently created this method. Eventually when it was exposed by the Sect Leader that Elder was killed, however, till nowadays this method stays inside of the Dark Sky sect.
Jay Vi was also required to share a report about the Exam results. He already finished writing about all teams except Yu Min one. Out of 7 teams only 4 teams were able to get to the entrance. But, only 2 teams were able to pass the last test. One team didn’t get to the entrance due to the fact that they got in a Yu Min trap with fog which was causing strong hallucinations. And 2 other teams who go to the entrances were bitten by Kim Li and Yu Min teams. In the beginning of the exam Jay Vi was saying that there are 10 entrances. However, not all entrances were really opened. And that was the case with 3 entrance places. One entrance was never occupied by another team, it was closed from the beginning of the exam. It was done in order to increase the competition and check the students' luck.

It was interesting that only one team had chosen the shortest path to get to the entrance. It was a team of Zhe Lao, where all cultivators were on level 7 and Zhe Lao was chosen as a leader without any dispute. His team has finished the whole exam, while they were able to get to entrance only in 1,5 days and due to this were able to relax before getting into entrance. That was the first time when the whole team was taking part in this exam and due to this Zhe Lao has shown himself as a great leader who thinks several steps ahead. Due to the fact that they have rest before getting into entrance they were able to withstand for 5 minutes against Dark Wolf.
Another team who as well consisted from level 7 cultivators have chosen the farthest entrance. For 2 disciples, that was the second time when they were participating in the exam and they had chosen the farthest entrance in order to not get into a fight with other teams. However, even when they got to the entrance, they were not able to withstand the wolf because instead of teamwork 2 cultivators had chosen to hide and due to this Dark Wolf easily bit 2 other cultivators. Similar happened with Kim Li teams, the problem was that 2 disciples on level 6 were too exhausted to keep up with Dark Wolf. But still Jay Vi has shared information about Kim Li as a new prodigy.
And the last team was Yu Mins. Team not only successfully finished the exam, but they bit the Dark Wolf which didn’t happen for a long time. There were such rare cases, but all of them were happening when all members of a team were trying to pass the exam for the second or even third time. But in the case of Yu Min, he was able to bit Dark Wolf on his own. However, when Jay Vi opened individual report about the Yu Min he found some terrifying and probably tragic information:
Name
Yu Min
Age
16 years (9 Months+)
Techniques
Crushing Fist (Expert), Wind Step (Expert), Blood Needle (unknown)
Talent
Low/Awarage
Other Details
For 2 years from 14 till 16 Yu Min was showing low talent while cultivation didn’t increase after ingesting QI Formation Pill.
However, around 1 year ago he began to spend much time cultivating and quickly began to break through the QI Formation realm.
After the exam it was decided to make a medical examination and it was found that Yu Min Potential shows signs of erosion in specific places, which may explain why Talent has shown sudden increase. In life and death situations or in case of strong emotions cultivator may temporarily improve their abilities or their improvement rate, but it would affect set their potential ceiling much lower.
Jay Vi heard about such situations, especially 100 years ago when many cultivators were bullied and due to this they were getting mad and were showing huge strength or quick rate of improvement. However, it was temporary and due to this they were reaching the ceiling very fast. What was strange was that the medical examination didn’t provide 100% guarantee that this is the case. It is only mentioning that there are signs of erosion in specific places, which contradicts standard cases when erosions are appearing at random. Due to this Jay Vi decided to write a report about this prodigy and as well proposed to give to this student additional award for beating the Dark Wolf solely.

Cheaters Always Win
Chester Everheart knew that life wasn't fair. Some were born in situations where it was almost impossible to succeed, whereas others were born with a silver spoon with everything at their disposal. A scant few were dropped into another world, filled with monsters and magic and forced to fend for themselves. The latter was a rare, somewhat ridiculous trope; but it happened to him anyway. Despite this he followed a motto that applied regardless of the dimension he was in. Playing fair is for suckers, and cheaters always win. Cheaters Always Win is a comedy-adventure that I've had churning in my head for a couple years now. I'd like to think it still has the charm that most LitRPGs have while also being unique in its own way. Every arc of the story will subsequently have a 'Level Complete' chapter that details all the stats, levels, equipment, etc. gained by the main cast of characters.
