"I didn't know you were coming to the game tonight" he smiled.
"Yea.. I decided to go last minute"
Mena turned her head around to see who I was talking to. She leaned towards Evan and opened her arms.
"Evan!" She squealed.
"Someone wants you to hold them" I said.
"Wassup kid?" He leaned forward and slowly took her from my hands.
"I'm gonna get some snacks!"
"Oh cool. I'll go with you" He said as held Mena close.
I nodded my head and started walking to the concession stand. Once I got there I saw Noelle and Taylor at the entrance.
"Taylor! Noelle!" I yelled.
They saw me and started walking toward the concession stand.
"Hey Miyah, girl you look good" Noelle said looking at me up and down
"Yeah, who you tryna pop out for?" Taylor asked.
"Girl nobody, I'm just here to enjoy the game" I smiled.
"Sis the game is in there, you out here looking for scooby snacks" Noelle chuckled.
Taylor and I both started laughing.
"Where's Leo? You said he was here." Taylor asked.
"Yea, he's here somewhere" I started looking around
I noticed that Evan and Mena weren't behind me. I pulled out my phone and started texting Leo. Before I could even send the message I saw Evan and Mena walking with Leo.
"He's over there!" I blurted while pointing at the entrance.
"Oh cool, I need to talk to him" Taylor said sternly.
"Why?"
"She wants Leo to put her on with JT" Noelle blurted.
"Taylor for real?"
Taylor nodded her head.
"Oh look here he comes!" Taylor turned her back around that way she was facing Leo.
"Heyyyy Leo"
"Tay. What do you want?"
"I was wondering if we could talk in private? Cause I gotta ask you something" Taylor whispered.

"Sure"
Leo and Taylor walked over by the boys locker room and started talking.
"What do you think he'll say?" Noelle whispered.
"I don't know. I feel like he might do it." I whispered back
Noelle and I looked near the boys locker room to see what was going on. By the time we did a second double take Leo was gone.
"Wait. Where Leo go?"
"Yeah, he was just there" Noelle looked around.
Taylor started walking towards us with a blank face. When she finally got closer we bombarded her with questions.
"What happened?" I asked
"What the hell did you say to that boy?" Noelle asked.
Taylor chuckled at the questions we asked her.
"Damn, can I breathe?
Noelle and I stared blankly at her.
"Okay, so I asked him about his life y'know, I was buttering him up cause I didn't just want to jump into it."
Noelle and I were silent.
"Anyways, after we were done catching up, I began to ease into the question. I asked if he could put me on with JT."
Noelle and I both nodded.
"Well, what did he say?" I asked.
"He said that JT and Imani are talking heavy right now"
"Damn."
"He also said that their lil thing they going on won't last long"
"That's good news" I smiled.
"Can we stop talking about JT? I came to find my future husband." Noelle said.
"Yea, we should probably go inside the gym" I added.
"Y'all right." Taylor agreed.
"Well, that was a good game" I beamed.
"We lost" Evan chuckled.
"Yea, what the hell are you talking about Amiyah?" Leo said holding Mena in his hands.
"It wasn't that bad of a loss. It was what? 55 to 57? Not bad." I reassured them.

"True" Leo sighed.
"Ay Leo, I gotta get going man. I'll see catch ya tomorrow" Evan dapped Leo with his free hand.
"Alright man bet"
Evan stared at me with his light hazel eyes.
"Goodnight Amiyah. Make sure to dream of me." He teased.
"Why would I dream about you?" I smiled.
"Cause I had a dream about you. It's only fair you do the same." He smiled back.
"I-"
Before I could even finish my sentence he already left.
"He so fucking weird. I'm bout to get the car." Leo said with Mena in his arms.
"Alright"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When we arrived home there were two other cars in the driveway.
"Great...."
"What?"
"My mom has her friends over" Leo sighed.
"How dare she have a social life" I retorted.
"Nah you don't understand."
"What?"
"I love my mom, but her friends are annoying as hell."
I started chuckling.
"It's true. They always brag about how much money they have or different ways they spend their money"
"Wow" I whispered.
"One of them has a daughter around my age and she's always tryna play matchmaker"
"Well is her daughter cute?"
"It's never been about looks for me." Leo sighed
"So no." I chuckled.
"She just self absorbed" Leo said taking Mena out of her car seat.
"Ah, I see" I said as I got out of the passenger seat.
We began walking towards the entrance of the house. Once we were in front of the door, the door flew open.
On the other side of the door were two women.
"Hello!" Both of them shouted.
"Hey Aunt Loren and Ashley" Leo said in a monotone voice.
"Hey Leo, how are you?" One of the ladies asked.
"I'm good, Aunt Loren"
Aunt Loren and Ashley reminded me of the girls I would see on my IG explore page. She was racially ambiguous, curls that ran no longer than her shoulders, and she had a hourglass body. Aunt Ashley was shorter and darker than Aunt Loren, but their bodies were completely the same like they took a page out of the Stassie and Kylie handbook.
"Well, who's this?" Her eyes glanced over at me.
"That's Amiyah, Jared's daughter" Larsa interrupted.
I find it very hard to believe that she's never heard of my name. Considering the fact that Larsa is my stepmom and that my dad had two kids before he met her. I think she would've mentioned it to her closest friends.
"Well, it's very nice to meet you Amiyah," She extended her hand out to me and gave me a firm handshake.
"Nice to meet you as well"
Aunt Ashley and Loren started walking out the door.
"Andres scored a 9 million contract from the cardinals, we need to go down to that new restaurant on 29th and celebrate!" Aunt Ashley beamed.
"Yea, pick a time. Jared and I will be there to celebrate with you guys"
"Okay! I'll call you later," Aunt Ashley told Larsa.
"Bye girl!" Aunt Loren shouted.
"Alright drive safe!" Larsa shouted back.
Larsa locked the door behind her.
"How was the game guys?"
"We lost" Leo sighed.
"Well, you guys should probably get to bed, you wake up early for school tomorrow" she took Mena from his hands.
Leo and I headed straight to bed.

Midara: Requiem
"When the alternative is extinction, all acts, no matter how heinous, are permitted." The story of a little necromancer who only wants to play with abominations against all that is holy dollies and her horsey, Mister Clackybones. Welcome to the novelization of one script I designed for a video game setting I call Midara (I selected the name of a genus of moths for symbolism purposes, not to be confused with anything else). Once upon a time, I dreamed of the setting being the next Final Fantasy. Long story short: Nope. Requiem itself is meant to be an Open-World RPG which adapts to the choices of the player. This is just one of many, many paths that one might follow in Requiem's gameplay, if it ever becomes a game.

A Will to Recognize
What do you think it takes to live? Is it strength? Power? Magic? Unparalleled intelligence? Or are they all mere accessories to the fact that life is irrelevant? Do you have what it takes to bear the burden of life? Does life even matter? I don't know, and to be frank, I am somehow alive; I was even able to function in society at one point. It frightens me to think no one else knows our purpose: not our parents, friends, or mentors. And I can't bring myself to surrender to any religion. But I do have a direction. A goal, one might say. My wish is to one day shout on top of the highest mountains, "Life doesn't frighten me!" But that won't happen. Because I died a long time ago. ... You're still here? That? Oh it was all in the script. You didn't think I'd actually say that cringey stuff, did you? ~Daniel

Ten Thousand Sallys
Imagine waking up in a hospital room, you can barely move. No one comes when you call. The only other person present is a little boy, who is, surprisingly, more help than you would expect. What would you do? This is the exact situation Sally finds herself in. Almost immediately she discovers that nothing is what she thinks it is. Not the boy, not the hospital, maybe not even herself. She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. As a baseline human, she starts as the lowest of the low and has to claw her way up in spite of being tangled in a shifting web of schemes and plots. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short. Give it a read and let me know your opinion.
