《Camille Lupin the Unicorn》Reunion

(October 31st 1993) Camille's POV
I didn't go with Remus on the train. I've hardly seen anyone since news of Sirius escape. I was debating not even going back to Hogwarts. But when I heard about Harry running away from Dursleys. I pulled myself together and went to the Leaky Cauldron. I watched over him in secret until the Weasleys arrived. I then went to Hogwarts early and prepared for the year ahead.
When the students arrived I was put en-charge of the sorting ceremony. As Professor McGonagall had to talk to Hermione and Harry. Hermione about a time turner to help her get to all of her lessons. Harry about the dementor attack on the train. I am glad Remus was there and drove the dementor away. I have no doubt he gave everyone in the compartment a piece of chocolate. Though apparently Harry had fainted.
So far the year has been good. Defense Against the Dark Arts quickly became all the students favourite lesson. Which I am glad about. Though Sirius has been spotted in Duff Town which is not far from here.
I know I will see him soon and decided to go for a walk in the forest to clear my head. It's Halloween and the first Hogsmeade weekend. Harry could not go as his aunt and uncle did not sign his form. But Hermione and Ron had gone promising to bring him back tuns of sweets.
I lose track of time as I wonder the forest. I don't even realize the sun has set as I'm so deep in the forest. When a wolf patronus appears. "Camille, where are you? Please come back, the feast will begin shortly" the patronus states in my brother's voice. Before disappearing and I sigh as I look up at the canopy. To see the the first stars appearing in the darkening sky.

So I start to make my way back to the castle. As I near the Whopping Willow I see a dark figure enter it and frown. It couldn't be Remus, he would be at the feast. Which I am late for. Letting my curiosity get the better of me, I walk to the willow. I point my horn at it and it freezes.
I trot forward and crawl through the small hole at the base of it. I slide down into the tunnel and stand shaking myself. I light my horn and start to walk down the tunnel. I enter the shake to see no one and frown turning into Melody drawing my wand. "Homenum revelio" I say and a trail of light leads upstairs. So there is a human here.
"Remus, if that's you. This is not funny" I state as I head up the stairs following the trail. I reach the top of the starts to see a huge black dog growling at me and freeze in shock. Before I could come to my sense and tackles me to the ground. Making me lose my wand.
The dog turns human and grabs my wand. I look up to see Sirius and gasp. "Stupefy" he says and my world goes black.
(Time skip)
I wake up on an old king size bed in an empty room. "Camille" a voice says and I turn to see Sirius. I go for my wand and notice it's not there. "I am sorry for stunning you, I did not realize it was you" he states.
"Why are you here Sirius? Give me one good reason I shouldn't alert the school" I tell him firmly.
"I'm here to protect Harry" he states.
"Liar, you turned Lily and James into Voldemort. The one thing I could never figure out though. Is why he went after them and the Longbottoms. But never me" I state.

"I didn't turn them over, I made a horrible mistake and I am here to rectify it" he states. "I was never secret keeper" he tells me.
"What do you mean?" I demand.
"I convinced James to chose someone else. Knowing Voldemort would come after me and I thought they'd be safer. But I was wrong and they paid the price" he explains.
"Who was it?" I ask him in a small voice.
"Peter and I tracked him down. He blew up a street and I thought he'd died" he explains.
"They only found a finger" I tell him.
"He cut it off himself, but he's alive and his here at Hogwarts as a rat. I'm trying to kill him" he states.
"Sirius, I lost everything that night. I had to change my identity and start a whole new life for myself. As the ministry thought I was working with you" I tell him.
"I am sorry to of dragged you into this, but please believe me. I never worked for Voldemort and never betrayed our friends. I love you" he tells me as he looks into my eyes.
"I love you too" I say with tears in my eyes as I show him the rings.
"I kept mine also" he says showing me his hand. "Please help me protect Harry" he pleads.
"You know I'd do anything to protect him and Neville" I remind him. "Where is Pettigrew?" I ask him. He shows me a clipping from the Daily Prophet.
"That's him on the boy's shoulder, see his front paw?" he asks me. I look at the photo of the Weasley family in Egpyt. Scabbers on Ron's shoulder and I snarl.
"He's been right under my nose for two years" I growl. "We catch him and go to Dumbledore. Then we can finally live the lives we deserve and start a family" I tell him smiling.
"I want him dead" he growls.
"So do I, but if you kill him. We'll be on the run for the rest of our lives and I don't want that. I want your name cleared and us together" I tell him.
"Fine, but we don't have to be gentle do we?" he asks me.
"After everything he put us through, he doesn't deserve it" I tell him. "We should tell Remus" I tell him.
"No, we do this together. The more people who know, the more chance we'll be caught before we can catch him" he states. We argue about it for a while. But he won in the end.
"I need to get back, I'll be back tomorrow with food and water for you. Keep a low profile" I tell him. He smiles and I walks me to the hole. I then go to the castle alone and go to bed. Not knowing what Sirius had done earlier before I saw him.
