《Camille Lupin the Unicorn》Protecting the Stone

Camille's POV
Exams have ended and Dumbledore had left for an urgent matter at the ministry. Everyone did well in their practical exams, but I still have to mark the written exams. I could tell Harry hadn't been getting a lot of sleep. He must be worried about Voldemort in the forest. I'm marking some as I watch the students by the lake enjoying the end of exams. Harry, Hermione and Ron among them. I see them go to Hagrid's hut, but ignore it.
But I'm getting bored, it's the afternoon and a beautiful day. And I'm stuck inside marking papers. I decide to take a break and go for a walk. As I walked through the corridors I hear Harry talking. I stay hidden and listen in. "Snape's going through the trapdoor tonight. He's found out everything he needs, and now he's got Dumbledore out of the way. He sent that note, I bet the Ministry of Magic will get a real shock when Dumbledore turns up" he states.
So Voldemort strikes tonight. Which mean Quirrell knows how to get all the forms of defense guarding the stone. No doubt Harry and his friends will try to stop him. "Good afternoon" I hear Snape say. "You shouldn't be inside on a day like this" he tells them.
"We were" Hermione tries to say.
"You want to be more careful" Snape tells them. "Hanging around like this, people will think you're up to something. And Gryffindor really can't afford to lose any more points, can it?" he asks. I come out.
"Now Severus, I'm sure they were just getting a drink" I tell him smiling. "They've been at the lake, they must be thirsty" I state.
"We are" Hermione states.
"See, no trouble here. Don't you have papers to mark? I know I have" I tell him.

"Good day to you" he says and goes to the staff room.
"Now you three should really be enjoying the sun, leave the stone to me" I tell them. They look at me shocked. "Run along now" I tell them and return to marking. I decide to finish it before going through the trap door. Though it took longer then expected.
I grab my real wand and turn back to normal. Melody Prewett won't be facing Voldemort tonight, Camille Lupin will be. I look at my green eyes and smile, how I've missed them. Along with my natural brown hair.
I leave the room and head for the third floor. When I enter the room I see Fluffy snarling at the trap door entrance. It's door ripped off of it's hinges. Someone has obliviously been here.
"Fluffy, heel" I say and he looks at me. He snarls, then recognizes me and relaxes sitting down. "You have done well, sleep now" I tell him and he lays down. I pat the three heads and jump into the hole. I land on the devil's snare and relax. I fall through and land in a crouched position.
I stand up dusting myself off. I head down the stone passage way. I arrive in the room with flying keys. I summon the key and unlock the door to the next room. I then let it go and enter the room. I look at the giant chess set and to see an unconscious Ron. With Hermione beside him.
"I told you guys to leave it to me" I remind them.
"Sorry professor" Hermione says and I revive Ron. I heal their wounds.
"Go send a message to Dumbledore, I shall rescue Harry" I tell them. They nod their heads and leave. I head to the next room to see the troll unconscious. I go to the logic test and refill the potions. I take the right one and go through the black fire.

I arrive to see Quirrell making Harry look into the Mirror of Erised. "Now Quirrell, is that anyway to treat a student?" I ask stepping into the light.
"Camille Lupin, you finally reveal yourself" a voice hisses.
"Why don't you show yourself Voldemort" I say holding my wand.
"Quirrell let me speak to the boy and Lupin" he tells him.
"Master you are not strong enough" he tells him.
"I have strength enough for this" Voldemort sneers. Quirrell reached up and began to unwrap his turban. Where there should have been a back to Quirrell's head, there was a face. It was chalk white with glaring red eyes and slits for nostrils, like a snake. "Harry Potter, Camille Lupin" he hisses.
"Look at you, a mere shadow of your former self" I say.
"I have form only when I can share another's body. . . but there have always been those willing to let me into their hearts and minds. Unicorn blood has strengthened me, these past weeks. . . you saw faithful Quirrell drinking it for me in the forest" he explains.
"Oh I know, I've been healing them" I sneer glaring at him.
"Not that it matters, once I have the Elixir of Life, I will be able to create a body of my own. . . Now. . . why don't you give me that Stone in your pocket?" he asks Harry.
"Stay behind me Harry" I order and pointing my wand at Quirrell. "You won't touch him or get the stone" I tell Voldemort.
"You really think you can beat me?" Voldemort asks.
"You, maybe not. But I can beat Quirrell" I sneer.
"Don't be a fool" he tells me. "Better save your own life and join me. . . or you'll meet the same end as your parents. . . They died begging me for mercy" he tells Harry.
"Lair!" we shout.
"I always value bravery. . . Yes, boy, your parents were brave. . . I killed your father first; and he put up a courageous fight. . . but your mother needn't have died. . . she was trying to protect you. . . Now give me the Stone, unless you want her to have died in vain" he tells Harry.
"Never!" Harry shouts.
"Kill them!" Voldemort orders and I send Quirrell flying back with a spell.
"Run now Harry!" I shout creating a shield between us and Quirrell. Suddenly Voldemort's soul leaves Quirrell it zooms through my shield and heads for Harry. "No!" I shout as he goes through Harry. Who becomes unconscious as Voldemort's soul flees. "It'll be ok Harry" I promise as I bind Quirrell.
Dumbledore arrives as I pick up Harry. "Voldemort?" he asks.
"He escaped, left Quirrell to die" I tell him. "Carrying such a damaged soul and drinking unicorn's blood. Has taken it's toll on his body" I explain. "The stone is safe" I add and carry Harry to the hospital wing.
